Within the senate building of Coruscant, a lone figure sat in the main pod, where emperors, presidents and big leadership figures had sat in the past, cameras being manned to broadcast what he had to say to the whole galaxy. He was old, but big and intimidating, the glowing white where his eyes should be staring back at the cameras. Around him, there were monsters, either standing around, kneeling to the figure or murdering any poor survivors that were still in the building. The old Miralukan simply stared for a moment with a vile smile on his face as animalistic growls and scared screams of dying people could be heard in the background...He was someone many would still remember, even after all this time.

"My name is Gareth." He introduced himself, for those that weren't so sure if it was indeed him, age changed how a person looked, after all...And the dark side didn't help either "Many already know that name, but forget about what it meant, for the chains of the past no longer bind me, so allow me to reintroduce myself" He was no longer Zaa Fenn, he was no longer part of the Syndicates...And he could barely consider himself human, so introductions were still in order. "I am Gareth Gin" He said once more, using his old surname, renouncing the name "Zaa Fenn" once and for all "I am the first exalted, the man that lead the monsters to Byblos and Coruscant...and Darth Raze's champion." He would say, confirming the suspicions of those that were a bit more knowledgeable in what the galaxy had going on, today the galaxy had the names of two destroyers dropped in a single speech, today, they would fear for their lifes.

"Heed my words." Gareth would lean forward, clasping his hands together "Byblos and Coruscant are but a taste of the things to come, examples to make you understand that not even the biggest jewels in the galaxy are safe" The Miralukan started to explain, one planet that had opposed Raze's will, even if they didn't know it, and one that was deemed too big to fail, both hunting and breeding grounds for Darth Raze's monsters "The galaxy belongs to one man, and one man only...And his children will take it, one planet at a time, no one is safe. You will all submit or die when the time comes. Make peace with your future and accept it, for it is the only way you may be spared." A sick, sadistic smile would form on his face "Fight back, run away, try anything else...and you and your kin will be feasted upon."

Gareth leaned back, casually resting his chin on his fist, looking away for a moment before a frightened man approached him, his hands shaking as he handed him a cup of wine...Thankfully, he didn't spill a single drop as he did so "However, I also bring good news! Those that are strong, those that are powerful, those that are cunning...You have a chance to become part of something bigger" He would add, shaking the cup of wine around before taking a sip from it "Join us when the time is right and you won't regret it...True power, riches beyond your comprehension and your darkest dreams fulfilled, these are things that will be given to those that are up to the task" It would cost them their soul, but many people in the galaxy would sell that for much, much less.

What really mattered was that the strong and merciless would seek the winning team, and it was clear that it was theirs "The rest of you will see us very, very soon. Pray to your gods and make peace with yourselves, but most importantly, get ready to serve your true master." Gareth would stand up as he finished his sentence and his cup of wine, the nearby abominations letting out a bestial howl before scattering, once more ready for the hunt "See you soon." With all said and done, the speech would be finsihed, and the galaxy would be left with a grim message that had been signed in blood, as the camera was turned away and pointed at the massacre that had happened in the senate chamber itself.

The Belching Frog Saloon in Mos Espa, Tatooine, had its HoloNet programming on a significant delay. The unscheduled program coming from Coruscant had to travel passed poorly maintained beacons in former Republic and FWA space -which no one claimed dominion off in fear of the sheer maintenaince cost- and then we're not even mentioning the often spoofed and maliciously altered beacons in the Outer Rim and cartel space specifically.

As such, the 'live-feed' from the senate chambers reached the saloon roughly around four in the morning when the place was more or less deserted but for a lone old rodian smoking a stim in peaceful -yet depressing- solitude. The Twin Suns of Tatooine and the general absence of the humidity in which the rodian species enjoyed its many evolutions had severely dried out his skin and made the 70-something rodian appear even older. Visitors of the Saloon often remarked on how they thought those systech-stims he was continuously smoking were in fact what was keeping him alive. Painkillers and sedatives, basically.

"Gin," the old rodian sighed, his tone of voice threatening and disappointed, upon hearing the Mirakulan introduce himself.

Silence accompanied the rest of the broadcast and at the end their was only a chuckle. "With you leading it," Preef exhaled and blew the smoke towards the ceiling, "they'll never get anywhere important." Once upon a time, decades ago, Gareth was the 'White Lion of the Zaa Fenn' and the face of the Crymorah Syndicate as its main enforcer. His first act as such had also been his last, resulting in the utter ruin of the syndicate. This act was very much the same as the old one. Causing mass deaths and indignation, then boasting on the HoloNet about killing all that opposed him.

The old rodian snubbed the stim on the table and pressed his eyes closed as if coming to a painful realization; "The cycle does repeat itself, then-" he remembered words spoken by smarter people, "-those who can only destroy will continue to destroy, while those that protect will grow old and die." the corners of his mouth rose in a melancholic smile. "No redemption, then, in the end."
