The small space in the Republic Transport was not the best place to be right now. Geonosis, the once Republic-Held planet, was once again under Sep Control. That's where we come in. My squad, the Omegas, and I are returning once again to this Hell-Hole. Delta Squad is currently on Onderon at the moment, taking out a small band of Seps that had set up camp there. HQ called us in, when they couldn't get the Deltas. Makes a Clone feel real important to know that you were the second choice. But we can't question our orders, or else.
"Sir, what's our mission?", I asked.
"Your mission, Omegas, is to eliminate this target-"
The holo image of our CO pressed a button off-screen and the intel on a Sep leader appeared on all of our HUDs.
"He's very dangerous by himself, but we know he's got some kind of defenses for himself."
"Any intel on what kind of Defenses, sir?"
Hacker. Our Computers and Demolitions man. His curiosity had gotten us into some sticky situations in the past, during training...but then again, it had gotten us out of Geonosis alive, too.
"None. You'll be dropping off soon, so get ready, Omegas. I'll keep in touch."
The image of our CO faded into nothing, and the four of us stood there, in the darkness of the Transport as it flew over hostile skies.
"A Trando...This should be intresting, right sir?"
"Don't get cocky, Aries. Trandos are more viscious than even you, as hard as it is to believe!"
I laughed a bit, along with the rest of my squad. We'd seen Aries in action during training with live rounds. He loved to use his wrist Vibro-blade more than his DC-17. Good thing for us, too. He'd saved our asses during the Live Round Training more than once with it.
"It would be smart if you guys could let me take this guy out from a distance. Help us out a whole lot, right?"
"Good thinking, Hawk. We'll try to get him into your sights ASAP. But until then, we do this the old fashioned way."
I got a series of "Yes, Sir"s in response. It was odd...Delta-38 and I both got the Mandalorian, Jango Fett's voice, while our Squadmates didn't. It made it interesting during Training and during the First battle of the war. We still had a grudge against the Deltas for getting the Spec Ops job during the Battle that day, while we were stuck in the frontlines, shooting droids with our inferior Clone Bretheren.
