Mae had been laying low for years with orders from her Syndicate to cease all activities that would be traced back to the Pykes. Not for fear of reprisal, but due to the majority of the major Syndicates falling away and disbanding out of internal conflict or lack of unison with the other Syndicates which made the Five Syndicates a force to be reckoned with for a time.

Her orders were clear, but this did not mean that Mae would stop being herself in the slightest. After all, once a pirate, always a pirate. Her crew, the Trinity Pirates and all of their Pyke followers just stayed home or near it and stuck to low end raiding and pirating.

In fact, with these few years away, she was able to expand her influence in other areas known to be profitable by the Syndicates including spice running, racketeering, and of course assassinations.

The last of course was the one she was enjoying the most. No longer that simple girl with vast dreams of where the Pyke Syndicate would take her. Her vision and views honed in on a precise target of strengthening herself and her own footing within the Galaxy.

This all came crashing to a hault, of course, when her former partner in crime and long time Pyke leader, contacted her about a job and a chance for them to emerge from the shadows and retain their former glory.

Mae made her way hastily to the Wolves Den to meet up with Rafe and possibly catch up on old times.

After a short period of catching up, Mae sat in the vip room of his club beside Rafe sipping her elegant tea and looks over to Rafe with a smile and asks "So... how are we going to do this?"

Rafe sat back in his throne like seat, the VIP room an absolute mess around them.. in the corner of his eye he spotted hundreds of credits worth of spice that had been spilt onto the ground, along with the spilt drinks, thrown and smashed food.. this room looked like a war zone, and had definitely bore witness to some violent events..

Rafe scooped up a half empty moogan tea, and drained it quickly before responding to Mae. The Pyke's had a long beautiful, and powerful history. Of Shadow and Spice had been their memoir title until Rafe took over, he sought to expand the Syndicate's power, influence, and connections.. the Hutts, the Zann Consortium, many others in his docket, it had all grown too large and Rafe was reminded why powerful governments like the empire, the Republic, and others were the real terrors in the galaxy.. still Rafe had built contingencies, and kept the Pyke holdings small. Keeping their assets and interests secret and secure. Taking the Pykes out of spice and into slavery had been their saving grace, since the loss of Kessel nearly crippled their organization all those years ago. Now with a Syndicate that called very few places home, nearly always on the move, and we'll equipped in the shadows, Rafe wanted for very little, and so too did most of his men and women..

Slavery was a consistent credit farm, and the Pyke's, taking the style, then improving it, of the Materiaalaankopen, the Pyke's were rarely out in the open. The squeaky wheel afterall.. Rafe had a new idea.. something so genius, something he had been pondering and slowly planning for some time.. years even..

Rafe took out some printed papers, a network trail wasn't something he was willing to risk in this situtation.. The potential.. is astronomical.. Rafe said as he slid the papers over to Mae, the sticky residue on the table catching a ride on some of the bottom papers in the stack.

On the front page sat the red printed symbol of Hardlight Independent... Rafe had mentioned this to Mae before, years ago.. Rafe wasn't sure if she'd remember, it was at the time.. a crazy idea.. the manpower he needed just wasn't his st the time.. but now.. Rafe was ready for Mae to call him crazy, or roll her eyes at him.. he'd prepped heavily for this, and had over a hundred men prepped for this, but he needed Mae.. her expertise, and being one of the only people in the Galaxy Rafe trusted more than just a little bit, made her perfect for the job..

Mae grabbed the papers also gaining some of the sticky stuff from the table as you reached for them. The table was covered in it. Most likely a spilled tea combined with spice, she licked it from her hand. Tasty! She then looked over the paperwork and glanced up over the papers a few times at Rafe.

She was surprised. Not that Rafe was brilliant enough to create such a work of art but it was so much further away from his normal craft of butchery and slaughter. He was a brilliant tactician and brutal soldier, but now add tech head to the list too?

When she finished, she looked up at him and said "I like it! I'm on board 100%. One question though, can we imprint a backdoor in the code to track ships that are not ours that are using the app? Little piracy on the mind...."

"Also did you hear about the traitors?" She asked almost randomly with a smile. She was of course referring to the small group of Pykes who split from the Syndicate to do their own spice operation.

"The whole lot of them got wiped out by a group of sith backed locals or something... good thing we got out of the spice business with the loss of Kessel all those years ago...."

She said again with a laugh.

"Wonder if those bastards thought they got us all?"

Her laugh turned to a giggle as her attention then went back to the papers in her hands.

"So what's our first step in this new undertaking?

She asked Rafe. Hoping he could keep up with all of her questions.
