1) Should they operate much like the Commandos from the Clone Wars, in that they're highly trained and well equipped operatives who can do everything from fight as shock troopers to run cladestine assassination Ops? Or should they simply be a more elite fighting force, like Marines or Paratroopers?

2) Do we place them under either Navy command or Army command? This is more for flavor; if they are Navy, they'll have a Naval rank structure. [IE: Petty Officer, Ensign, etc] If they're Army, they're have an Army rank structure. [IE: Sergeant, Lieutenant, etc]

3) Designate them as a sort of publicly acknowledged version of S13. By that, I mean we portray them as the Republic's guardians, running around and blowing up anything that goes 'bump' in the night. This'd make the Commandos a sort of prestige unit, like the real-world US Navy SEALS or the Russian Spetsnaz. Thoughts?

4) The group's current name is "Republic Commandos", but would you all prefer something different, like Special Operations Group [SOG] or some such?

5) Jedi Involvement. This faction would be a prime candidate for allowing Jedi into its ranks, so how would you feel about fighting side-by-side with a Jedi?

I am very interested in the Republic Commando operatives, especially if they're more similar to the Republic Commandos during the Clone Wars.

I don't think they would be Navy or Army, I think the Commandos were Marines. Not sure about that, though.

If the S-13 agents are the 'Secret Police' of the government along with the black-ops missions of the Republic, staying in the shadows and not being a part of public knowledge, it might be best to have the Commandos as a public figurehead for the military. Not so much black ops, but more like the elite troopers of infiltration and storming a base or ship and such. Besides, the Republic could use the morale of such a figurehead right after loosing so many senators.

Republic Commando sounds badass to me, wouldn't prefer to change the name.

Jedi involvement, I would think at first that these would be soldiers -only- since it's a black ops mission, but perhaps there could be a fusion between the military Black Ops soldiers that are well known along with the Jedi Shadows. Infiltration and elimination. Just a thought.

I like this one. It's not ripped off the Marine Corps so I like it. It has that "we are gods" kind of feel to it that Spec Ops units have.

Alright, after a bit of a delay [sowweehhsss] we have SOLAG up. Kinda. We'll be working more and more on getting the subfaction settled in the coming days, but we're going to convert the Soldier Barracks into a sort of HQ board for the Republic Commandos.
