Rennek is extremely destructive and enjoys blowing up anything. He also enjoys sadism and constantly hurts his crew with slashes on the back, blaster bolts to the body, etc. His name and intimidating look make him proud to be a pirate. Even if destruction of his beloved Blind Gorgon is inevitable, he fights on and never surrenders. He kills almost anyone that gets in his way unless it is his own crew. He once said that he will never fight for the Republic or the Sith and that he will always instead seek to destroy both of them.

Rennek was born on the planet of Dantooine, with all of its beauty and wild animals. He was always found with some weapon, even as a small child. In his room you would find blood and dead animals everywhere starting at the age of 6. At the age of 10, he was found to have murdered 20 people, children and teachers, at his school and arrested for 2 years. When he was 12 years old and still in jail, he bribed the guard to come near him. When the guard came, he smashed his head against the bars of the jail and killed him. Rennek then grabbed the keys and unlocked his cell as well as 25 other criminal's cells. When he got back home, still no one knew about him breaking out and thought he was finally home. 5 years later, 17 year old Rennek kills his parents and stows away on a Republic shipping vessel going to Naboo.

On Naboo, Rennek was recorded as destroying many houses and killing their inhabitants. He was then sent to Naboo's jail where he stayed for 3 years. After he got out, he stumbled upon a drunk Sith officer who handed the deed to a very small craft named the Destroyer of Justice to Rennek. Realising what he just was given, he poisoned the officer's next drink so he would die and not remember anything. When he got aboard his new vessel, he had to give a speech to all of his new crew members. The speech was recorded by one of the crewmen:
" Now I realise you are all Sith soldiers, but you now need to forget that. I am your new captain. I have killed your old one. We will not fight for the Republic nor the Sith, but as pirates, conquering the galaxy in this vessel. You may have liked your old captain, and for that I am sorry. Together, we will try to conquer the entire galaxy and rule everyone, even the Sith and Republic. Now, I see how very unlikely this is, but if we work together as one crew,we will be very close to that goal. Since we leave soon, I need everyone back to the posts A.S.A.P. Deserters will be shot immediatly and killed. My new officers, please learn to follow my orders as I have never done this before. If I have advisors, I'd like advice at any time. Thank you. Now, back to your stations!"
He realised that it was a short speech, but he knows it was good. After that, age 24, he traveled to the planet of Coruscant to contribute to smuggling operations. Now, age 27, he plans on mainly destroying the Sith because a year ago, they shut down all smuggling operations and almost captured Rennek. Realizing the Sith might track him down, he changed the vessel's name to the Blind Gorgon.
