If you were to check a map, Savareen doesn't have many spaceports. Hardly anybody lives there, and nothing in particular is made there. You'd be right about two, but in reality, there are more ports than one could count. Jorrin was sat on the back of his speeder truck in one such port, waiting on a delivery. It was late, he wasn't surprised. Knowing how smugglers are, it might not arrive at all.

His rifle was leaned up next to him, and the speeder gave him cover from the desert sun. Still, there were a million places he'd rather be.

Savareen. Not as hot as Tattoine, but still hot. He wiped his brow, and kept walking. Supposedly this planet was supposed to be known for crime, which means lots of clients, but today somehow there wasn't a lot of people who looked they were in the business for a hitman. He kept walking and spotted a man leaning against a speeder. A standard rifle leaned next to him. John grinned, competition, or some military personnel. John slowly approached the man, and nodded, saying "Say, you know any good place to eat? I'm starving." John lied, he wasn't starving, but he did want to make some allies, and decided he might as well start now.

"Smugglers den. They insist on alcohol, good food is optional. There's a cantina up north, they should have something."
Jorrin looked Lex up and down, though by appearances, his eyes lacked pupils and irises. Jorrin found him strange and suspicious. This wasn't a place to wear a suit, and he didn't have any visible weapons. The thought that Lex was unarmed never crossed Jorrin's mind, it was just a matter of what he was hiding, and why.

John nodded, he had heard of the Smugglers den on his way down to the planet. "Thanks, I actually did hear about that on my way in, I hear they have good drinks. Anyways, the name's Lex, John Lex. Judging by your blaster and the clothes you're wearing, also your posture and strict discipline, I'm going to guess you're with some sort of military or security agency? I am a hitman."

"I transport cargo on-world. Haven't done security work in some time."
Jorrin looked young, probably less than twenty. He was probably lying. Lex being a hitman wasn't a shock.

"You look like you take high rates. I wouldn't hang around here too long, people are looking for cheaper hires."

John nodded, "Interesting, legal smuggling....I like it. I do occasionally take from the highest bidder, but in conditions like now where not a lot of people need killings, I'll take almost anything I can find. The suit is really just something to make me look intimidating, which interestingly enough, works. It also hides tools I may require. Makes me look all official looking."

Larisa sat inside the small cantina on this backwards world. It was one of those 'open air' cantinas. 'Open air' meaning it was little more than a bar hidden under half a dozen tent poles and multiple tarps haphazardly sewn together. Nothing on this world was too permanent as the winds of the savannahs kept its inhabitants traveling light and traveling often. Who knows if this place would be here in another half dozen weeks or not?

The Imperial investigator had come here in order to acquire some contacts among the less savory of the population, but the more of the population that she saw, the less interested that she was. These people seemed so, useless? What good would they be if she was looking for leads on criminal organizations or smugglers? Shifting in her seat, her thin coat covering her scattergun, holdout blaster, and grenades, Larisa absentmindedly tapped her vibroblade against the side of the chair.

Slipping it into it's sheath at her side, the Imperial stood up and looked out towards the speeders. Two men seemed to be having a conversation, and both of them armed. Maybe they'd be of more use? Cracking her neck, she started the walk out of the cantina and towards the two.

"In that case, you'll fit right in."
As soon as Jorrin ended his sentence, his eyes caught Larisa leaving the cantina. She had a vibroblade sheath, but he saw the outline of a weapon under her coat, not clear enough to tell what it was.

"You know her?" He said, jerking his thumb towards her.

Jack was an agent all his own. He came to worlds in search of information and unfortunately Savareen was bereft of it. It was as dry and desolate as it led on, though despite its open carry status, the bounty hunter had surprisingly only been shot at twice and the first time was an accident.

That being said, he got word the Mid Rim had something for him, so he was quick to head back to the spaceport to catch his ride. A simple freighter that was often had more maintenance than it was worth. He desperately needed an astromech. A crew member could do the same, but they might find their captain's staring, night terrors, and frequent conversations with no one in particular to be more than a little off-putting. So for now he was in the market for a droid and heading corewards.

Before he got to the hanger where that crook Gammorean was keeping his ride for twenty creds a night, Jack spotted a familiar face. A firrerreo he roped into a little expedition to see about some raiders. It wasn't his normal MO, but he needed the supplies to get the hell out of dodge and now thanks in part to his temporary ally, he was well on his way.

Giving a wave to him and the strange looking man in a suit, he noticed they weren't looking his way but towards an approaching woman. A femme fatale if he ever saw one, and Jack could certainly spot them now, the patient man watched as she approached noting her quiet gait and impassive face. She was perhaps more peculiar than the man in a suit though for entirely different reasons.

A siren's call to danger and Jack knew the call well. Still this was a gathering of strange people and long ago the bounty hunter had learned they were the ones to look to for information. Perhaps after all this his journey wasn't for nothing. Moving closer with an upraised hand the man said to the rebel,

"You know, I never caught your name"

John did fit right in, he could say he was a wealthy businessman or a politician, he could practically fit in any type of environment. He smiled, and looked in the direction Jorrin was pointing. He looked, and saw a woman. "I have no idea who she is, do you know who she is? Could be another person looking for a job." John then noticed a man walking towards them. "You know this guy?"
