SLUM DISTRICT, SMUGGLER'S MOON, LOCAL TIME: 2104

Ahh yes, Nar Shaddaa.

There were many memories had on this world and many more to make. One thing this corrupted wasteland provided, was a reason to be present along with the cover of nightfall and all the wretched worms that already existed on this world. The power vacuum was left wide open and while there was an uneasy alliance in the five syndicates, many newer and smaller gangs fought over less relevant territory for a meager portion of the rewards.

Roman kept himself mostly out of plain view, utilizing the coverage of shadows and natural darkness as his primary allies; the ebony clad armored form had been observing some local shipping companies. Rumored stated that they had been employed and on the payroll of small time gangs for years now, with no inclination of move or appraisal in power. Such a stagnation was deadly to society in general and gave the Knight of Ren a purpose to seek chaos and bloodlust. For death and decay were the natural rivals of the Light, and he hungered for more of the former. Sitting atop a perched platform, sulfuric eyes burned brightly and gazed upon a small company of thugs completing their collections. The credits were unimportant, the mens' lives were however of a more sinister purpose.

As they departed,
Roman leaped off the ledge and landed onto the cobblestone ground with a thud. Drawing his blade, he stalked the men for a few city blocks, drawing the force to himself as it pulsated in his left hand with a locus of red energy. All he needed was the opportune moment to make his kill meaningful...

So this job took a turn. An... interesting turn. She'd managed to slice her way into the building, then into the truck with the goods... however her timing was off. Someone came into the truck while she was in the back, so she had to hide in one of the boxes. Maybe they were rushing the order, because this was way ahead of the schedule she'd read. Either way, at least she could confirm the boxes were filled with spice. The spice she was after.

After awhile the truck pulled up somewhere. Her hope was that the driver would get out and walk off, so she could then hijack the truck, but she could still hear him in the front. It sounded like he was talking to someone, perhaps out the window. Behind the truck she could hear other people talking. There was little options left, because buyers always checked the load. Every box. But Alais had grown up on the streets of Nar Shadda, so she was no stranger to fighting. It was time to stand her ground.

The doors began to click as the locks were disengaged. The young scoundrel got out of the box, plucked her blaster from under her cloak, aimed and waited in place. As one of the men opened the door she shot him straight between the eyes then jumped out of the truck. There were several men around, and little did she know a Sith was stalking one of them. As one of the men reached for their blaster, Alias stepped to the side and smashed her blaster into his face, before using him as cover from blaster fire from another man, and then fired at the man who'd fired at her.

She didn't understand why her instincts in battle felt so... right. It was always like something was guiding her, especially in these moments where it was like her speed was being boosted by an unknown Force. Unfortunately, while she'd taken out three men there were at least four more and so she prepared for a much longer battle.
