Hypori, mid-afternoon local time

❅ THEME ❅

Hypori was hot and Darth Valravus was glad she had kitted herself out for the environment. Forgoing the cloak of wolf pelts she had claimed she just sat on her 88-V Ranger in her armor. Her hands held her slung laestien over her chest. She made little noises, raspberries or popping sounds with her cheeks. The Deucalian sith was bored as she waited in the dull setting outside of the Imperial Shuttle.

Around her, also on their own speeder bikes were the Frigaerock Five. They were waiting for their leader's command to move out. Garm just stared out over his handlebars at the desert that stretched out before them. The twins, Grisn and Jost were having some relativly calm dispute with personavs in hand of what was the best route to take to get to the walking tanks they were there to hunt. Gullin fastened his weapons and gear for the third time. He was bored too but he was just double checking everything to make sure none of his equipment would fall off when they took off. Of course there was Heildi who's face was reflecting the light from her techno-coffer mounted on her chest as she typed up some new program. The Sith Lord was sure she would not be able to comprehend if the young woman explained it to her so for the time being Darth Valravus continued to make silly noises to herself.

They were there to hunt down a squad of IAF Goliath bipedal tanks. They had allegedly been tampered with and gone rogue. They had already been at large for a week so that meant they had some method of charging themselves. The specifications on the droids said they had a forty eight hour battery so if they were still operational after a week they had some other means of recharging.

The originally manufacturer had informed them that this squad of Golaiths had been outfitted with integrated scout heads up displays, jump boots and vision modes. That meant they would be able to spot the Imperial and Deucalian operatives from a distance as well has have mobility once engaged. They needed to close in on them before nightfall or else the droids would also have an advantage being able to see in the dark.

Kalanda wasn't very pleased with the armor she had been given upon her return from Ziost, but frankly, she didn't see what she could do about it. Given the heat, she detached the armored sections along both arms, opting to just wear the combat helmet and the breastplate over her robes. That was much more than running around in a suit of combat armor. She glanced to the others in her party, wondering if she had perhaps made a mistake on coming. They all seemed so well armored and equipped compared to her. She looked down at her speeder, trying to look like she knew what she was doing, but she didn't understand half of the stuff above her controls. She knew how to drive and all that, but what the hell was with all the blinking things on the HUD. Technology was weird. She wasn't sure exactly what they were waiting on, and frankly she was too scared to ask. Mid had choke slammed her into a wall for her last act of defiance, what would an actual Darth do to her?

She decided that was not something she wanted to experience, so kept to herself, occasionally fiddling with the controls, before undoing what she had done. She occasionally looked back to the Darth as she heard odd noises coming from her, but decided not to ask. If nothing else, this mission would...well it would be a thing.

It wasn't like the abominable time where he had to go to Tatooine, but Hypori was still too hot and arid for Uhtred's taste. There was just something repulsive when the outside air was so warm that you couldn't feel a temperature difference in the air you inhaled from the air you just exhaled.

The Battle-Master's helmet hissed as it sealed and locked with the rest of his armor. In the cargo bay of his ship, the Sceadugengan, Uhtred had ensured that he was equipped with his gear as readied himself on his 15-A Locust speederbike. Initiating its engines, Uhtred turned and rotated his head in such a way to crack his neck.

"ᛚᛖᛏ ᚺᛖᚱ ᛞᛟᚹᚾ, ᛒᚱᛖᚨᚴ ᛏᛟ ᛟᚱᛒᛁᛏ."

Metal creaked as the loading ramp lowered, and Uhtred immediately drove out with his speederbike, descending a short ways to the ground as he took off to the rendezvous point. It hadn't taken long for Uhtred to arrive, although from the looks of things, he was the last to do so.

"Am I late?", Uhtred asked, mostly in jest, but for all he knew there was some truth to it. "There as still machines to hunt, no?"

"Jarl, a ship is inbound. The Sceadugenan. It's a pleasure yacht model." Heildi said without looking up from her place. "That's prolly just Uhtred's ship I think." She said in response letting them know that the Deucalian would be joining them shortly. She went back to making her noises up until the man arrived.

The rest of the Frigaerock Five looked at the last arrival from behind their helmets and finished what they were doing to finally settle on their bikes for the ride ahead. "yup yup yup. Hope you brought something that can pack a punch." her bike charged up as it reved for a moment.

"Sending you the directions of their general area." Grisn said to everyone while backhanding his brother's perosnav gently. Jost just sighed and put his own away. In the next couple of minutes they would be zooming off to the edge of the projected area.

"They've got military programming so be super duper careful guys. The can spot us from a distance so we're going to stop just at the edge of their projected area of operations, kay?" the Sith Lord asked for confirmation. The ride would take several minutes of riding that could have been shortened by a space ship flight but that would have been visible from a distance. They had a much better chance of getting close and engaging when on the ground. This would be the first time Darth Valravus would have encountered these Golaiths in person. Part of her did not have a high expectation of them despite the briefing but she also hoped they were more fun to fight than she had been led to believe. "Been a minute Uhtred. What have you been up to?" She asked the man as they rode across the sands towards their destination. The Acolyte along with them she did not know but she seemed like the quiet type.

Kalanda looked up towards the vessel as it lowered itself down, only to deploy a speeder from it's confines that swiftly moved into the formation. It looked like a nice ship, she thought she heard someone call it a pleasure yacht, which meant whoever that was they had more credits than she did; which frankly didn't mean alot, everyone had more money than her. She wasn't sure what to say, it seemed everyone knew each other save for her, which was awkward. She decided to keep up the quiet routine a little bit longer, least she say the wrong thing and face the wraith of seven people who probably could kick her ass seven ways to orbit and back. Leaning forward on the controls for her speeder, Kalanda let out an almost inaudible sigh, before moving to catch up with the rest of the pack. As they came to a stop, the acolyte could only lament that she was by far the weakest one here; not to mention the most expendable. She'd have to work on that in the future, but for right now she was at the bottom of the totem pole and she was very aware of it. Still, they had a mission to do, so she didn't linger on those thoughts for too long, mostly just waiting to be told what to do.

Uhtred grinned comfortably once first addressed. Naturally, he came well armed and ready; it wouldn't have been any fun without using his favorite hardware, after all. "I-pack a punch—I-am all I need", he said arrogantly, patting his weapons on him. "I just bring these along to bring out my eyes."

Uhtred's occasionally carried a datapad with him, on his person, but he often found little use for them at first. He preferred using his mind alone, thinking on his feet, memorizing plans and details. But since becoming a Battle-Master, he had found them more practical to use when dispensing information was necessary. It was ironic that he came from being so adamantly against the things except when absolutely necessary, to now being grateful to have one around at all times.

"I do not suppose we have any snipers with us?" Uhtred asked, almost rhetorically. Most Deucalians preferred mid-to-close ranged combat. Blasters were common enough among them, but everyone knew that Deucalians as a whole had a unique affinity for melees, even using mounted shields to protect them against blasterfire so that they could close the distance on their foes to cut them down in close-quarters. "Skilled or not, they could always be used to create a distraction. Or a diversion."

As they began their ride, Uhtred quietly smiled to himself. It felt like going on a raid, a real-raid, where it was just a few warriors that struck quick, hard, and where it mattered most. It had been a while, but once this was over, Uhtred would have to gather some warriors of Clans Wardruna and Orosii to do it again, in earnest. But alas, his wandering mind was brought back to the present as Zandrali spoke to him... actually, she was a Darth now, wasn't she. So Valravus was her name.

"To hear my uncle tell it; trouble. But, I like to think I've been busy, making sure the right people are dead... you'd be surprised how many stupid ones there were among our people."

"Fraid not. They're all pretty good shots but all we have won't shoot very well beyond a hundred meters or so. Especially not anything that will be able to do good damage on these droids we're after." She replied after stopping. Gladius rifles, laesteins, and a javelin light repeater all of which did not shoot beyond a hundred and fifty meters without loosing damage efficacy. Drali did not care to watch these walking tanks shrug off a dozen light blaster bolts and obliterate any of her own warriors in the process.

"You been killing other Deucs?" She asked the Battle Master outloud. It was nothing new. Mandalorians were not the only ones that had fought amongst their own kind for conquest and survival. Though she was generally curious about how well Skuld was doing along with the rest of the Deucalian society from Uhtred's perspective.

"I think I saw something" Said Grisn after they had come to a stop. "Up on the cliff. About a hundred meters away to the east." The Sith Lord turned her head in that direction abruptly and gunned her controls towards the slope further down the cliff side that would allow her to climb to the altitude of the cliff. She had not seen anything and she could not sense droids. These golaiths had jump capabilities and so were more mobile than one might expect. The Frigaerock Five followed a short moment after her. One of them even muttering something along the lines of "ᚺᛖᚱᛖ ᚹᛖ ᚷᛟ ᚨᚷᚨᛁᚾ."

Kalanda soon found she hated speeders. Like, really, really, really hated them. She never really enjoyed driving, even the brief moments she had to she found rather annoying, but she could at least stomach it you know? But this? This was just terrible. She struggled with the controls, all this confounded technology was getting in the way, as she somehow turned on a steering assisting feature. So while the Fearsome Seven were a good pace ahead of her as her speeder wove back and forth, as the acolyte traded blows and swears to her vehicle, before emerging victoriously, though she still ended up at the back of the pack. Of course, the moment she happened to catch up to them, they were already turning to chase something down, causing the young woman to give chase once more; she just couldn't catch a break. She made a vow then and there, that when she was a Darth she was going to have a personal driver for these sorts of things. Whatever was forcing her to drive around like a maniac, she was going to make them or it pay for this suffering and humiliation she was undergoing.

"I've been killing men that need killing", Uhtred stated simply, almost nonchalantly. "As it was, most just happened to be Deucs. It's as they say, 'ᛏᚺᛖᚱᛖ ᚨᚱᛖ ᚾᛟ ᚠᛁᛖᚱᚲᛖᚱ ᛖᚾᛖᛗᛁᛖᛋ ᛏᚺᚨᚾ ᚠᚨᛗᛁᛚᚤ'... and I have a very, very large family.

It was a bit more ironic for Uhtred than for most, as he essentially had family among both Deucalians and Mandalorians. And both had an almost disturbingly-frequent habit of infighting, even for warrior cultures. But, that was the way it had to be in order for the rule of the strong to prevail. Suffering the weak, either as warriors or leaders, benefited no one but one's own enemies. As far as Uhtred was concerned, removed those lacking the strength demanded of them was more a duty than a desire.

"Violence always comes with the winds of change, but I think the Deucalians will be better for it", Uhtred said, following with snarky laughter "Or at least, we cannot become any worse off."

Uhtred's attention turned sharply forward as one of the warriors of Drali's personal guard, or whatever they were, alerted them to the droids ahead. Uhtred almost instantly pulled his lockbow out and rested on his speeder, pointed forward. He had expected more forewarning to the droids' presence than a distance a mere hundred meters, and he wouldn't be caught dead and damned to Svidibein without his weapon at hand.

"I don't suppose you have a plan?" Uhtred yelled out, following Drali's lead as he accelerated to keep up with her, while also glancing toward the other Sith accompanying the group. It had been a while since he had personally worked closely with multiple ᛋᛈᛖᛚᛚᛒᛁᚾᛞᛖᚱᛋ, and they had a tendency toward cleverness. Uhtred may have liked the more straightforward methods, but he respected any plan that worked. "Either of you?"

"Well I think we need to catch them first silly!" She said back to Uhtred as he asked for an update. Darth Valravus could come up with a dozen plans. One for each scinario after they caught up to the droids. But she did not know if this was just a scout, what kind of terrain was ahead, how far away the other droids were.

After she crested the hill a field of boulders, the size of hover trucks dotted the landscape ahead. She slowed down her speeder knowing that traveling through the forest of rocks would only bring on an inevitable crash if she was not moving at walking speed. There was no point to remain on their speeders.

Fifty meters ahead a droid was lost behind the rocks. So far she had only seen one. Dismounting she pulled an EMP grenade from her belt and held it there, waiting on activating it for the time being. In her other hand she pulled her lightsaber and kept it inactive. "It will be too difficult to get our speeders through. These droids are not as dumb as I expected. Stay on-" She was cut short as the scream of blaster fire erupted from six different directions. A bolt struck her speeder bike, the sound of its idle engine dying from the impact was drowned out as more weapon fire streaked towards her. Activating her lightsaber she was able to block the next bolt meant for her and send it up into the blue sky. "Get to cover!" They were out in the open and had fifty meters to travel. The Sith Lord piggybacked onto Kalanda's speeder. "Gogogogogogo" Her lightsaber hand whipping around, protecting both the Acolyte and her from the medium blaster bolts. The droids had actually setup an ambush.

As Kalanda was moving in the back pack, she soon realized what they were charging at. She swore to herself, knowing that whatever was going to happen next was going to royally suck for her. Sure enough, it did! As the death tanks began to rain laser fire down upon the company, which prompted the acolyte to jerk her bike erratically as debris began to rain down on her.

When things couldn't get any worse, she realized that Darth Valravus' bike had been hit, and the Sith Lord was now airborne- only to have her speeder shake as the woman invited herself onto the speeder, just in time to knock away a blast that could have very well cut the acolyte's life short. It soon donned on Kalanda that it wasn't just one droid firing at them, but several had caught them in the open. With a Darth yelling in her ear, the acolyte gunned it, her speeder bike was making sounds she wasn't used to, but she was more concerned about the droids killing her than the speeder breaking down. Kalanda closed the distance, trying her best to avoid the shots, but those she failed to avoid Valvarus was there to stop. However, that didn't help the fact the enviorment was not at all friendly to the speeders, as numerous dings and thuds pounded against the speeder, and it's speed began to falter as it was taking a pounding. Kalanda tried to close the distance between their attackers, mentally counting to herself as if that would make a difference as the droids were not relenting in their assault, but on the plus side the acolyte was starting to catch up to the rest of the pack. She was closing in on the droids hiding spot, knowing that once they were in melee range it would be simple to cut them down to size. They just had to survive long enough to get there. Just as they hit the 10 meter mark on the dinged up speeder, Kalanda found several blaster bolts being fired at her speeder, and made a motion to bail. She hardly had time to shout "Jump!" Before she was already hitting the ground rolling.

"Why catch them? Just shoot them!", Uhtred yelled humorously.

So, making everything up as they went along. Some people hated that, but Uhtred preferred it. Thinking things through was all well and good, but pretty much no plan survives hard contact with the enemy. At least with sapient beings, one could predict what sensible courses of action would be, and try to devise something from there, but it didn't often work that way with droids or beasts. They were too base, too limited to think like sapients could.

As the group came to the field of boulders, preparing to dismount for progression on foot, the area lit up with deadly streaks of blasterfire.

"ᚹᚺᚨᛏ ᛏᚺᛖ ᚴᚨᚱᚴᛁᚾᚷ ᚺᛖᛚᛚ?!"

From at least six vectors, blasterfire rained down on the group's location. No one said it, for the obvious reason of attempting to not be shot to death, but everyone was thinking it; everyone knew, droids had actually set a trap.

Uhtred hadn't been able to dismount his speeder before the attack began. The motor revved violently as blaster bolts pierced its frame, striking the repulsor and stabilizers. Immediately, Uhtred's bike jerked sharply toward one direction, throwing him off as it spun away, out of control, before the repulsorlift engine detonated from the rapid overheating.

"ᚨᚱᛖ ᚤᛟᚢ ᚴᛁᛞᛞᛁᚾᚷ ᛗᛖ?! ᛁ ᛃᚢᛋᛏ ᚷᛟᛏ ᛏᚺᚨᛏ ᛏᚹᛟ ᚹᛖᛖ--!", Uhtred yelled, getting cut off as more blasterfire forced him to duck, taking cover behind one of the many bounders. On their own, the large rock formations were fine, but when surrounded, it was hardly great cover. The only way they were going to even survive was to go onto the offensive.

Thankfully, albeit with a lethal caveat, was that some of the blasterfire was being diverted. Valravus and Kalanda were still on a bike, attracting attention and fire. It couldn't be stopped, nor helped, but Uhtred would sure as hell make the best of a bad situation. Ensuring his position was protected against the droids that were actively attempting to kill him, Uhtred took aim with his lockbow and fired a burst volley of eight shots at one of the droids firing at Kalanda's speeder, while making sure that cover would always be nearby if he suddenly appeared the more tempting target than them. Hopefully he would deal some good damage, but he wasn't sure what exactly to expect.

"I don't imagine anyone here knows where these things are most vulnerable?", Uhtred said into his helmet's commlink as he was firing. "Not so easy cracking a walking tank!"

When the Deucalian Sith had jumped onto Kalanda's speeder bike she had hoped it would last longer than a few seconds. But as they sped right towards the Goliath droids there was not much she could do except make all the blaster bolts not hit herself or the Acolyte. Leaping from speeder as it hurtled across the ground. Darth Valravus leaped from the speeder about the same time as the younger Sith dropped and rolled to safety. But the divided Deucalian used the force in her jump to keep moving with the momentum and land on the upper half of one of the Goliath battle droids.

If the Droid had not been so large it would not have worked and would have looked more like a tackle. But the automaton was heavy and large. The Sith jammed her lightsaber's tip down into the unarmored area where the met the shoulders. The ignited blade stabbed down through the torso cutting through integral pieces of the droid's build.

Before the dead droid fell back due to its weight another droid fired at her. The medium blaster bolt caught her in the armored black in the small of her back. She winced and turned, tossing the grenade she had been holding. One other Goliath was caught in the blast, disabling them both for the time being allowing the woman a moment to breath. She pulled the glowing weapon to see how Uhtred and Kalanda were doing after the sudden rise of chaos occurred. Her troops were already whittling away at some of the Goliath's armor where they could but they were jumping around, using burst from their built in jump boots.

"I thought you said you packed a punch?!" She shouted back to the Battle Master as an answer. In truth he was right. There were not any discernible weakness. They did not have melee weapons and their built in blasters had an effective range of fifty meters. But in this rocky terrain and with their jump boots they would probably be able to avoid the damage that was needed to do significant damage. With her now empty hand Darth Valravus pulled her lullaby heavy blaster pistol. That would do the trick.

Kalanda hit the ground tucking into a roll and managing to keep on her feet, though her armor soaked up some dings from the small rocks on the ground. The acolyte came back up, saber drawn, just in time to see Valravus soar across the air and come down onto one of the droids, as the darth began cutting into the war mech. Now she had to step it up, this was some real shit. Igniting her lightsaber, the acolyte charged forward, covering the distance in a far less cool or efficient manner as Valravus had, but she wasn't going to let cool factor get in the way.

Calling upon the force, she strengthened the muscles in her legs for a few spare moments to push off the ground, only putting herself ten feet into the air, as she lunged towards on of the goliath droids that was fixated on Valravus, and drove her lightsaber into it's chestplate, before pulling it across it's body and coming out of its side. The droids servos misfired, as it's critical systems literally took a lightsaber to the cheet, and it began to shake violently, before toppling over. Kalanda just barely managed to leap off of the droid, hitting the ground and rolling away from the fallen droid, as she found Valravus and the other man had already dispatched three of the droids to her one. She hardly had time to lambaste herself, as one of the droids turned and fired on her, showering her with hot rock as they stuck just behind her. The acolyte lunged forward, towards the droid, but was reduce to having to dodge it's barrage of laser fire as it kept her at a distance. This only served to annoy Kalanda, as she began to tap into that frustration, slowly working it to fueling herself, as she once again strengthened her muscles planning on destroying this droid in the same manner she had before. For the time being, she just needed to not die, only hoping the two with her wouldn't find her display to be that of incompetence.

Everything—everything—will burn and break with enough firepower. Some people learned this the hard way, others caught on quickly, but there was no piece of military hardware so potent that it was exempt from it. Uhtred had seen starships fracture and smolder and tanks implode in flames. As he fired his lockbow at the Goliath droid, sweeping it with blaster bolts, the only question nagging at him was, not the matter of 'if', but of 'when'-and if what he had would be enough.

A clip was ejected from Uhtred's lockbow, leaving tendrils of white and gray smoke as the glowing edges of the empty cartridge fell to the rocky ground. Like clockwork motion, the Battle-Master reloaded and locked in another cartridge and took aim once more. The Goliath droid he'd been heckling was dimly aglow from being hit with blaster bolts; a good sign, but one that couldn't really-be counted as 'success'... at least, until central support chassis linking the droid's upper and lower sections was compromised by the heat. Melting to the point of becoming supple, the Goliath droid's upper chassis became too heavy to support, and the droid collapsed in on itself, detonating as its internal systems overheated and spraying molten armor plating on two other goliath droids.

"I'm punching it, aren't I?!", Uhtred yelled back to Valravus. But as far as damage went, he couldn't disagree with her. He needed to be doing more. Uhtred had expected to ambush them, and armed himself accordingly with that in mind. But now, he finally saw the closest thing to a weakness; the central portion of the chassis, two relatively thin duranium segments.

The two other Goliath tank droids were structurally undamaged, relatively speaking, but did receive damage to their sensors. As a result, the two Goliath droids began firing more at random than with precision; it wasn't exactly an ideal situation, as blaster bolts were still firing, but at the very least, they were directed at him. As the droids' fire strayed about, Uhtred focused his fire at the small target of the center chassis of the droids, firing unceasingly as the metal beams began to glow again, and a second Goliath droid collapsed from the melting metal supporting their upper half.

Not a perfect solution, but it was progress, and Uhtred kept near to cover as the other Goliath droid 'jumped' about. Perhaps it was their programming or just it going haywire from damaged sensors, but one thing was clear enough; if these droids were going to go down, they were not going to go quietly.

Two of the droids were down for the count thanks to her earlier grenade. One was scrap thanks to her lightsaber. She would let the other two take care of the ones that were disabled thanks to the grenade. With a focused expression she would fire two shots into each of her targets. Two goliaths fell in heaps on the dirt covered ground. The last droid she fired at took the fifth bolt she fired to its massive gun arm. This would cause the weapon arm to actually hand limp at its side, no longer operational.

Meanwhile Kalanda had taken out more of the bipedal tanks as well as Uhtred. They were slowly making progress. One after another the arm mounted medium blasters from droid after droid fell silent. Darth Valravus moved behind cover for a moment as a few shots pinged close to her position. The Deucalian needed to reload her weapon. She stowed her lightsaber and pulled out her quickdraw. She fired a few shots at some of the droids around the corner, not wanting to waste her heavy blaster pistol's valued stopping power just on suppression.

Kalanda had managed to keep herself from dying long enough to get a strike off on the attacking droid, though it wasn't anything spectacular. She lunged at the droid, only to feel the muscles in her legs scream in protest from the action. She didn't get as much distance as she wanted, though it was enough to be the droids end.

Flying through the air, she cut through the left arm of the droid, missing her intended target, but she turned on her feet swinging backwards into the droids back and out through the front, as it began to topple over, as most of it's frame had been compromised. It seemed the group was making quick work of the droids, as their foes were becoming fewer and fewer in number. Despite this, Kalanda felt her muscles twitching in protest momentarily as it seemed she has exerted herself just a little too much. Valrarus had drawn pistols and began firing at another pair of droids, though the acolyte herself had lost count of how many more there left to kill. This might have been the last of them, but the young woman was so full of adrenaline she couldn't focus on it, drawing her pistol as well as she attempted to add Valalrarus in her concentrated firing on the droids.

Vaporized moisture hissed sharply from small vents alongside Uhtred's helmet, mixing with the exhaustive smoke of blaster gas and heated carbon. If he was to make a gamble, to pursue great risk for the prospective promise of greater reward, then now was the time.

As the skirmish rapidly progressed, more and more of the droids fell or were distracted by Uhtred's Sith allies, and that fact alone was as much an advantage as anything he could have truly asked for. As the first tank droid Uhtred had been attacked by fell by strikes of a lightsaber, the Deucalian Battle-Master pursued the site of battle with singular purpose, dropping his lockbow to take up his thermal-axe. The last droid in Uhtred's sights, with the damaged sensors, fired about chaotically. While the approach was dangerous in its own right, Uhtred ran low and fast, keeping true until he was close enough to hurl his weapon.

Instead of the head or center of mass, Uhtred aimed his hurled axe toward the barrel of the tank droid's blaster. He didn't imagine it would be damaged outright enough to disable it, but he had something else in mind. As was expected of a haywire droid, it had continued to fire. However, the obstruction right in its barrel caused an eruption and detonation of the droid's blaster-"arm", causing it to explode and blasting it backwards. Pulling out his Mandalorian sword, Uhtred continued his charge, leaping over the downed droid as he stabbed down into it, disabling the droid.

Taking advantage of Valravus' earlier EMP grenade, Uhtred raised his arm and fired his cryocaster at the affected tank droids, flash-freezing them with carbonite. The metal frames cracked and collapsed under their own mass and weight together with their greatly weakened structural integrity, effectively causing the droids to break apart, rendering them inert as a threat.

"We finish this, yeah?!", Uhtred yelled out, feeling a growing excitement at their apparent successes.

There were only a few more left. Kalanda missed a step it looked like but she righted herself and got what she had intended done. That was good to see and it made Darth Valravus giggle. Uhtred on the other hand was letting the tank droids know what it meant to be on the recieving end of a Deucalian's axe. Her new ammo canister slide back into place with a click while she stepped back out into aiming position.

Both of her hands erupted in a hail of blaster bolts. Heavy blaster bolts mixed with her quickdraw's high rate of fire. She brought them both across three separate goliaths that were standing relativly close to one another. And like that her weapons were empty once again. A strand of hair hung over her face, disturbed from the rest. But the Sith Lord's expression was one of glee at having such a satisfying amount of fire power at her finger tips. She practically squelled, or would have if she had not nearly been close lined by some blaster bolts from the remaining goliath bipedal tanks. Chances were that Kalanda or Uhtred would finish them off before she could reload for the last time.

@Korvo @Algarus go ahead and end the thread after this.

Seeing her blaster wasn't having much effect, Kalanda brandished her lightsaber, repeating the maneuver that she had slain the last two droids with, though her legs were very much begging her not to. Running, leaping, and coming down swinging, she split another droid in two, cutting into it's motivator and hydraulics, as the tank collapsed under its newly created structural weakness. Though by now, her legs had enough of this nonsense, as they finally gave out, forcing the acolyte to lean against the wreckage of her latest victim, as she drew a blaster; firing it until it was empty at the last remaining tank. As fun as this was, she lamented her current state, she was going to have to take it easy until these tanks were destroyed, as she could feel her leg muscles spazing out from the strain. It was fun while it lasted at least. It was up to the giant in their party to finish the last tank off. @Korvo
