PERSONALITY: Raze is a very calm young Echani, raised to always be polite. He never hesitates to help another, even if it means interrupting what he is currently doing. This does cause him to get side tracked often, but it also makes him a likable person to those he helps. Even in combat he tries to reason with opponents, and when that fails he hides his time, never rushing a fight. However, like any other being in the galaxy, he can be pushed to the breaking point. When angered, he will lash out uncontrollably, which can be best described as toddler like due to its lack of direction and often self destructive manner.

Little is to be said about the little Echani boy named Raze Houser. Unlike many in this galaxy, Raze's past is not plagued by death or loss or suffering. In fact, it was a pleasant childhood. He was born in a simplistic household to his Echani parents Qwa-nil and Uleen Houser. Both were members of the Order of Matukai, and thus Raze grew up in a relatively calm environment. At age ten, he began his more rigorous testing to truly become a Matukai. He became a teacher's pet so to speak, often correcting others, which although irritated some, it pleased his mentors which was what the young Raze strived for. At age fifteen he received his own Wan-Shen, the Matukai symbolic weapon. With the blades removed, he used the subsequent staff almost as much as he used his arms in daily life. It was during this time where he began to use Xeus as a role model. To Raze, Xeus seemed to be the ideal Matukai. Over the years, he would befriend Xeus who would in turn help mentor the young Raze. Years later, at age 19, he received his own SHADE droid which he named Zeno and gave him armor plating as well. Since most Echani seem identical in appearance, Raze ironically decided that to best stand out, he would hide his face. He would forge a mask as a bonus task to complete, which would set him apart as an individual. At age 21, Raze was a smart Matukai and had practiced his combative skill for years and thus was excited to finally go into battle. He got his wish when the pirates attacked Karvoss. Along with fellow Matukai Xeus the Adept and Triton the Proselyte they defended Coveheart. Unfortunately, they would have to split up, with Raze and Triton going without Xeus' help to protect Brinstar. The Karvossi had already been enslaved when they arrived so together they boarded the pirates ship. Before Raze and Triton could escape the pirate's captain mortally wounded Triton before being killed by Raze. It was then that Raze made the ultimate sacrifice for his brother in arms, transferring his own life force to Triton, ending his own life to save another's. Raze's sacrifice would have a lasting effect on Triton, influencing him beyond what Raze could've guessed, but died knowing Triton would become a worthy Matukai.
