"Of course" Max replied, certain as he could be that this girl needed no one to walk her home. He pitied the mugger or murderer who tried to mess with Celeste Stythani on a cold dark night. But this was not need, it was want. She wanted him to walk her home and boy did he want to.
The Lieutenant motioned for the bill, paying it in one before Celeste could object. He had invited her to dinner after all and they probably wouldn't be able to do it again for quite a while. He was looking forward to it already. He wondered for a second if Sith even had credits - they were born, not recruited and privileged, not paid - perhaps Celeste had nothing at all in that neat little bag of hers.
He was on his feet in one graceful sweep, rebuttoning his jacket and reaching to help her with her coat. "So tell me you guys get better quarters at the Academy?" he asked as they made their way out, genuinely intrigued. The bunk rooms for military course delegates were pretty no frills, which didn't bother him, but they surely had to offer better to the likes of Celeste.
