I typically wouldn't ask here but I know there are a lot of PC gamers on here so I decided to just shoot for it.

SO I bought a Turtle Beach PLa headset and I have no fricking clue on how I am suppose to get it hooked up to my desktop. Been searching around and I keep seeing people with these headphone like cords on their headsets that they plug into their laptops. The only cords I have are the USB and two cords that are red and white (look like RCA) am I missing a cord or what?

These the one's you bought? http://www.turtlebeach.com/product-detail/pc-headsets/ear-force-pla/343

From this Google image, it seems it's just a USB connection. This website shows the image of a left-right audio auxiliary cord. I think that's what you're talking about. The red-white is left and right audio feed, that should connect to your audio jacks, but I don't think Laptops have a left-right audio jacks, and neither do most computer system unit towers. You can find a female connection at RadioShack, or Best Buy, maybe even Wal Mart, which should connect it to your single audio jack. If not, I found one for you on eBay. They also can connect to your surround sound system, which I think that's what it's for. I'm not sure if that what you need for them to work, as I see a USB, which should handle the mic and audio.

EDIT: My information isn't concrete. I don't do gaming headsets, as I mainly play single-player offline and sports games are the only online games I play, which don't usually need gaming headsets.

Thank you sooooo much. I think you're right too, I don't think I have to have anything but the USB but I wasn't sure.
