Appearance: Rah’la is short for her species, being only 5 foot and 5 inches in length, and maintains a lean physique. Her complexion is within the brown range though this is darkest in the speckling of her head tresses as her overall tone is more tan than not. She carries her 141 pounds well, moving with fluidity both in and out of the water. Large dark maroon eyes feature prominently; these and her protruding, full lips combine to make her nose seem much smaller than it is in reality.
She prefers to dress in dark colors; charcoal, maroon, and various shades of brown, but when she does add a splash of color to her wardrobe it runs toward the blue and green end of the spectrum rather than the warmer colors of red, orange, or yellow. Rah’la dresses in layers of clothing adding or removing garments as her activity dictates. Trousers are a preferred garment with a form fitting crop top over which looser attire is worn. From time to time she will replace the trousers with a skirt or add a tunic over all which she cinches into place with a maroon sash wrapped around her waist. Regardless of what combination she throws on, her standard footwear remains black knee high boots; at least while on land.
ATTRIBUTES:
Nautolan Biology [ Amphibious ] - Common attributes of her species include low light vision, stellar swimming skills, and toughness imbued by her endoskeleton. Due to the increased density of her cartilage she is resistant to glancing blows or otherwise considered to be tough.
Intelligent - Rah’la is fairly intelligent and does very well academically when she bothers to apply herself to her studies. She excels in math but becomes bored easily as it fails to provide enough mystery; everything is just too predictable.
Sheltered - The daughter of a council woman and member of a ridiculously large family, she really has not had to deal with true failure or disappointment. If ever the comment of having to live in the real world could be directed at someone it would most accurately be leveled upon
Rah’la.
PERSONALITY: Headstrong - Rah’la is very much used to directing her path in life and asserting her own personality. No shrinking sea anemone, she made a point of standing out in the throng of cousins. Often as not, she was the ringleader in all their escapades and most daring capers.
Decisive - Rarely does she have to question herself or second guess the choices she makes. She has always seemed to know what she wanted out of life and what path to take in order to achieve her goals.
Respectful - Innately she knew without harsh or repetitive lessons that her elders and those with skills that differed from her own were deserving of respect. While she knows what she wants out of life she is not the sort to step all over another to get there. She believes that most people have something worthwhile to teach and that no one succeeds completely on their own.
Impatient - Ever since she was little she was in a hurry to grow up so the advent of younger siblings was a welcome addition. Automatically she because the eldest and by contrast didn’t that mean grown up?
Competitive - loathes backing down rather than pushing through obstacles in her path. Even more so she has difficulty showing restraint when challenged by another person.

BIOGRAPHY:
Born on Glee Anselm, Rah’la is the first born of Elder Yal and her husband Rahl Vimt. Her mother sat on the Council of Elders while her father was a successful musician, singer, and composer. She grew up in a rather large and close knit family as both sets of her grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles, and countless cousins, were a constant presence all through her formative years. With so many role models to hand she could have apprenticed to any number of them, but it was her cousins who ran a tourist business that she drifted toward the most.
The odd jobs were frequent enough during the height of the tourist season and Rah’la could earn a meager income with relative ease. It made perfect sense to her parents, who noted that of all their children the eldest was the one who was most drawn toward land. Her interest was in the tales the off-worlders brought with them, of people and worlds in the far reaches of space. Though it didn’t happen often in their family, they fully expected their daughter to leave Glee Anselm to assuage her growing restlessness. Rahl’s brother was one of the few who had left their world and he easily recognized the signs in his daughter. Confronting her after her grades began to be negatively affected, the man managed to get a promise from Rah’la not to leave home until she reached her maturity and was fully educated.
In retrospect her parents would come to understand the unrest of their daughter had more to blame than just growing pains. It was not something the girl struggled to articulate as she herself was only aware of a growing impatience to leave her home world. There were worlds unimaginable beyond the seas and swamps of Glee Anselm and her home planet seemed to shrink with every waking day. An unexpected guest would provide answers and explanations for her unease that were well beyond her own imaginings.
From time to time her mother hosted dignitaries at home and on one particular occasion she was to meet a most unusual man. Her mother whispered one word that set her imagination soaring and insured she would not be late for dinner; Jedi. Rumors of these mystical beings had reached even her ears, though what was fanciful invention and what was reality she could not have said for sure. The man, an Ithorian named Oorrl Fonwim, brought more with him than the promise of interesting dinner conversation and novelty; he brought answers. Sensing within Rah'la the ability to access the force, he explained to her parents how unique their daughter was and gained their permission to take her on as his student. Only with their blessing did he broach the subject with her. Eager to learn the ways of the force and experience other worlds, Rah'la readily agrees and leaves home with Oorrl once his business was concluded. She was fifteen.
For the last four years, Rah'la has been training with Master Fonwim and serving as co-pilot upon his ship, the Viridian Orchid. While she has grown in her abilities, every bit she learns only reveals how much there is yet to know. Her immediate goals focus upon honing her skills until she might one day be granted the rank of Jedi Knight.
