  1. Is this game fun?
  2. Does it take long to get a lightsaber?
  3. Do you get bored easily?

1: For some people, yes. For me and others, no.
2: It takes as long as it'll take you to find the parts to make one.
3: Only when I'm not RPing(which has been happening a lot recently).

1. It is
2. Variable
3. Yes, some of the missions are standard mmo ones and in the case of one you kind of do your stories end in the first act. The next to after you don't want to do. Also a good amount of stuff is waiting for the Legacy stuff to come online for character creator. Pre-order becomes obsolete fast, some of your companions are very cool though. People are annoying for groups.

Thinking about getting this. Tired of Call of Duty, Madden, etc. Who should I join? I wouldn't mind partying up with some fellow SWRP'ers.

1. Yes, I love it. IMO, if you enjoy Knights of the Old Republic, you'll love this.
2. Started a Jedi Knight yesterday, got my saber at lvl 9/10ish. So not long at all.
3. I don't get bored easily, but that's because I sit and listen to all the voice acting rather than spacebarring through everything.

EDIT: Radz is on Bergeron Colony, Mars plays, I play, but my main isn't on an RP server.

as I stated in another thread for noobs

6 characters on Ebon Hawk, most rep 2 imp... the community on that server is perhaps one of the more friendly and even between factions there is more times than not people who will help you out in mixed zones even though the game is designed to try and drive a wedge between factions.

That is to say a rep and an imp can work together but have to resort to the /say commands because whispers/general/ and other forms of communication wont work cross fction

classes ARE pretty well balanced though despite our tech troll...factions however are not. Most servers have a 2:1 imp/rep population which I feel is the only real failure that was showing it's head in beta and has yet to be touched on:

That is to say gear " looks" crappy on the rep side while most of the imperial armour sets are rather nice looking- is one of the factors. Sith also seem to have a larger population though of " omg Im so cool and elite and badass hardcore!" types too.

what that means? open world pvp is lopsided and sucks for the Rep to deal with, however when it comes to war zones imps have longer queues and quite often get forced into hutt ball rather than other faction vs faction zones...where as republic does not have that issue.

long story short I personally love it to death despite it's " small" issues, but thats expected with a brand new mmo. currently it's the only one I actually will bother paying a sub for.

Getting your lightsaber happens around level 8-ish depending on your class story line- note you dont " or shouldn't even attempt to leave the starting world until level 10 anyway- and that is a pretty fast task you can do in an afternoon because the starter worlds have almost triple xp to get people through faster.

Hard to get bored when its bioware storytelling. that said when you need a break from questing there is just exploring alittle " though thats easier and safer after you get your speeder...

BALLOON RIDE DANCE PARTY ON TAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you can go datacron hunting,

the war zones and flashpoints ( which is how you gain social and valor points )

then there is always space.... granted space is in it's baby form. It's been stated that what you see is just a early framework and they will expand on it majorly but for now it's a fun 3-4 min minigame that can net you major XP and credits

I should mention the storytelling again, and companions...very true to bioware style: I hate to admit I have an emotional attachment to T7 and Kira...doc is sort of funny, but looks too much like Bruce Campbell to take seriously

when there is 1,000 some odd different voice actors voicing 4,000 some in game characters your going to rack up a huge amount of data... remember this is fully voiced not a single NPC will give you a text based quest it's all fully cutscened as you would see in Kotor, DA or Mass Effect, :P

so thats " partly" why it's so long a download...that and mmo's take a long time in general.

glad ^_^ it really picks up after you get your ship: my sentinel ( rep mirror of a sith warrior) story line is nice, and heartbreaking at times...the inquisitor one has many moments that had me laughing, and stressing over my masters plans...I've made a few other characters to lock in the names but have yet to run them.

though how dear sweet Tanna became a Baatch, I'll never know...silly mechanics.
