Question Regarding Alts...

Hey friends,

So, been RPing a Jedi for nearly a fortnight, which is fun for me, but in truth, I'm a bit addicted to the writing atm - maybe it's just been a while, but so far, I've found all the writers I've worked with to be really good at it, so I'm rather enjoying being able to bounce off writers who actually can, you know, write. As such, the waiting for new posts is killing me a little. Anyway, that's besides the point.

My question is this: how do alt characters work here? Can you create a separate account for them, or do you use the one you have? Are there are any limitations on them other than that you can only have six (and two would be more than sufficient for me, I suspect!). Anything else I might need to know about them?

I did check the rules section, but it didn't make much mention of alts, so I thought I'd better check just to be on the safe side.

You can use the same account and I'm pretty sure there aren't really any other limitations.

You can create a second account if you want, but it’s not all that necessary. If you do, just make sure to say in the signature something like “This is the alternate account for Teynara” just so people don’t think you’re an entirely different person. Beyond that, the only real limitations are when you get very high ranked. For example, each main faction has 3 key members: a faction leader, a second in command, and a third in command. You cannot be in that key 3 for two opposing factions. For example, if you’re in the Jedi key 3, you couldn’t be in the Sith key 3. It’s acceptable, however, to be in the Sith key 3 and the Chiss key 3, since they’re allies.

That makes sense, though I don't imagine my characters will ever advance so far, so I daresay it's not something I shall worry about. Thank you both for clarifying on that one :)

And though no official rule is in place, it's generally been avoided on having someone being in both councils.
