Question about NPCs?

I wanted to have a character who's in a band/performing troupe, but I'm not quite sure how to handle the other members. Can I just have them as reoccurring background NPCs, or should I recruit other players to be band members? I only have two other members thought up already.

You can have NPCs but they cant be main characters

yep, you can have them as background NPCs if you want!
