Is it possible for someone to be frozen in carbonite for about 1,000 years and come back out alive?

I sincerely doubt it.

Boba Fett's wife was frozen for a couple decades and she came out pretty bad. Blind, severe memory loss and possible other unmentioned health effects. Unlike a stasis pod, carbonite doesn't take in organic matter into effect. Carbonite is a storage system for inanimate objects and tibanna gas. Someone frozen for an extremely long time would surely die from organ failure or some other grievous problem.

Unless it was an Anzat, I'd look at Apollo's post.

Plus, any technology of carbonite storage for organics was lost millenia ago when sleeper ships were made redundant by hyperdrive. By the time of the Galactic Civil War, they basically were only just rediscovering the technology all over again, and specialized life support designs simply didn't exist anymore.

Not that I think even a sleeper ship's carbonite systems would allow anyone to survive for a whole millennium in statis anyway.

EDIT: Actually, Black Noise, seeing as Anzat feed off the Force and have basically no metabolism to begin with, and because carbonite encasement restricts one's access to the Force, an Anzat frozen in carbonite would actually starve to death.

I know I'm late to the party here, but consider an even shorter timeframe too. Han Solo was frozen for only a year, and he had blindness, albeit temporarily, caused by hibernation sickness.
