Entire holonet and media centers were down, and the planet was in disarray. The Republica empress was dead, and the Sith were reeling from failures all around. Now was the time to strike hard and fast. Imperial Hutta had been loosely aligned with the Republica, and everyone knew the control the Sith had was fleeting. Now that the Empress was dead, there was even less control on the planets that usually governed themselves. Criminals and smugglers ran rampant, and they had no regard for what any Sith overlord had to say.

With the communications platforms down, Raz chose this as the first time since her recovery from the medical bay to make an appearance. Nar Shaddaa was pure chaos now, and she would only add to it. She was still getting used to her cybernetic arm, and she felt awkward wearing her gauntlet over it. Nevertheless, she had Dio’s assistance in reconstructing her beskar’gam, she was back in the game. Raz was mounted atop her basilisk, all of her weapons on her. She even had her disruptor and PIPE with her, ready to unleash both of those monstrosities on anyone that got in her way.

“Let’s kriff this place up!” She yelled into her comms at Narir, narrowing her eyes behind the T-visor. Raz had despised the Sith before, and now she was even more incensed since the loss of her arm. She intended to eradicate them from the planet and work towards pushing Nar Shaddaa to become independent.

The droid landed with a heavy thud, speeders whizzing in different directions and people scattering all around. This particular district was known for its buildings that supported Republica operations. Raz didn’t hesitate as she aimed the guns on the droid and began to fire away. The sound of blaster cannons exploded as they tore right through chunks of the buildings in front of her.

There were few things in the galaxy that were more terrifying than a pair of Mandalorians riding a pair of Basilisk war droids into combat. As the thunderous ka-boom of dureacreet cracking under the feet of the droids rang out, people immediately began to run and scream. Initially, the idea of dropping into combat on one of the droids had been terrifying. Even after having done it on Corellia, the thought still sent lightning through his veins. It was thrill. It was excitement. This was what it meant to really be alive.

He knew that Raz's injuries at Corellia had been bad. He'd visited her, and had seen how it impacted her confidence in herself. She had always been the unshakable one with never-ending determination and fire in her eyes, but that had faded a bit after her injuries. She couldn't see that no one in the Badgers thought any less of her. No one was any less willing to follow her for what had happened. When she'd asked him to be the one to ride out with her to Nar Shaddaa, he'd leapt at it. It was opportunity for the Mandalorians, but it was the chance for her to remember what she could do.

Kriff. Yes. he replied emphatically. The canons on his basilisk fired, shaking his innards with every shot. It reverberated through his body, ignoring armor, and shaking him to the core. It was a sound that people had quickly learned to fear: the sound of a pulse wave generator charging up. It had been played and re-played across the galaxy after Corellia, and even civilians had learned what it sounded like.

The canons on the shoulder released their streams as well, cutting down security troops taking to the streets as Narir hunched lower onto the droid to avoid incoming fire. Let's hit the barracks! he said, referring to the garrison barracks only a few blocks away. It was home to approximately 40 Imperial troops tasked with "peace-keeping" which really just meant extorting citizens out of their hard-earned credits.

It was time for them to pay their debts. It was time for the Mandalorians to crusade.

Raz nodded at Narir’s words, guiding her basilisk towards the barracks in question. The droid was much slower on the ground than it was when it glided through the air. Nevertheless, it was a formidable beast and could scare off most attackers. Out here, there was no real military presence to worry about other than small pockets of soldiers. It was clear why Republica couldn’t get a strong foothold over this region, especially as criminals and gangs had more control than they did. At the end of the day, the Sith presence worked against the interests of the locals, and the Mandalorian invasion would be seen as a welcome change.

As soon as they began to approach where the soldiers were, they began to flood out of the building. They had droids of their own, and the soldiers leveled their rifles and blasters to attack the Mandos. Raz was unfazed by this, and she reached behind herself and retrieved her PIPE. She took careful aim and fired, the rocket jetting towards a group of soldiers. They barely had time to scream before they were blown up where they stood. Raz kept the basilisk moving, targeting the cannons towards the building once again and firing.

“Cover me!” She shouted to Narir as she did so. There were still soldiers left to take care of. Some of them got into speeders and bikes, zooming in and out of view to make a beeline for them. They made themselves a difficult target on basilisks, but if Narir took aim himself he could easily pick them off. There was chaos all around, and she felt that familiar rush of battle she had been missing ever since Corellia.

It wasn’t long before some random people began to show up to report the incident. Hilariously, they were recording things on their own personal devices due to Holonet being entirely down.

The Shadow

"Jen...something is going on in the city, chaos has broken out....can you hear me?" Tarrius cursed under his breath at the static nothingness that emitted from his com. This was a coordinated attack against the planet, one that wasn't the work of the typical thugs and freaks he dealt with. Where is Levi, Darkstar, Captain Republica, the rest of them... His teeth clenched under his mask at the thought of it all.

His eyes scanned from his position in which he saw a group of armored mandalorians attacking a group of corrupt Imperial officers, officers that he had been watching for some time. They were ruthless and held a strong arm over the city, and brought a bad name to those who tried to protect the weak--like Commissioner Lartson. Good luck convincing them to stop killing...Let's just strike down these cops and get to the chief, after that we'll figure out what's going on in the city.

He aimed his right arm down towards a pole, launching a grapple hook the snapped into tightness, he zoomed down the line, his cape twirling behind him in the air. He would snap off the pole and onto the ground, his vibroblade in hand. He would be to the left of the mandalorians, sulking in the shadows as he moved through the crowd of people running about and the Imperial troops who attempted to take aim at them. Using his staff he would snap the staff out towards one of the dirty cop's inner knee, snapping it into the man and causing him to stumble onto his knees. With a quick kick he would connect his foot to the man's skull, knocking him unconscious to the ground. He would continue to run towards the station barracks, calling out towards the other two. "I'm here to help!"

Ah, there was the PIPE. What a nasty weapon that managed to bring its own swirl of fire and smoke to the battlefield. It left behind a grotesque scene of burned body parts and... well, body parts that weren't attached to owners. It was disgusting, and on a normal battlefield might have been common place, but it struck him that they were having this fight on the streets. This was Nar Shaddaa, not some backwater world in an open field. But Nar Shaddaa had become a combat zone.

And it seemed people had flocked to their cause....

A new man who Narir didn't recognize took to the streets, calling out something over the raucous cacophony of combat. He couldn't hear it, but based on the fact that the man began attacking Imperials, he figured it was something to the effect of "kriff the Imperials."

As the speeders closed in, Narir opened fire with his blaster, and the Basilisk did the same. Some of his shots flung past the speeders as they approached, slamming into the ground and shattering the duracreet. And then one of the canon rounds connected, ripping through the vehicle and detonating the engine.

As Narir continued to fire on the speeders, several men came from the building. Two moved to Raz's right while another moved to her left. The pair set up a light repeater while the third had a rocket launcher, preparing to fire on Raz if she - or her droid - didn't deal with them. @Sreeya @TWD26

Tarrius paused for a moment as he examined the Carnage within his city. It would take years for this city to be rebuilt and recover. The criminals from the Asylum would most likely be free once more, ten years of blood and sweat gone. Kenth's death would be for nothing.

The Empire and his family needed to be removed from control, to be washed away and to stand trial for their sins. He knew a war would come one day, just not so sudden. His eyes snapped forward as he pushed towards the base, three men came pouring out of the headquarters and looking to put an end to their destruction.

A corrupt cop on his side of the street caught his attention, his eyes narrowing as he saw the officer reading a rocket launcher towards the mandalorian and her Droid. He was about 15 meters away, and too far to lunge a melee attack. He reading his right arm forward-- aiming towards the officer. With a flick of a button he eouwo send his grappling hook towards the cop, piercing through the man's shoulder. With a quick pull he would jerk the cable and the man skighsli towards him, causing the rocket shot to veer off and into the air. Dislodging the hook he would rush towards the fallen guard, whacking the man across the face and knocking him out. He would then drop onto a single knee and toss a single smoke grenade towards the men setting up the blaster--hopefully that would help the woman and the droid.

Raz wasn’t sure what this newcomer was saying, but she could tell he was on their side. She didn’t concern herself with the details for now, her focus still on the barracks. She launched another volley of bolts, sending them tearing through the building. This was taking out swaths of soldiers at once, though they were nowhere near any civilians. She kept her droid pushing forward, aiming and firing once more.

She looked to the side and barely caught someone taking careful aim at her. A pang of worry came over, especially as she had no time to reload her PIPE, and it would take too long to veer the droid around. Raz began to rapidly consider jumping off when the man from earlier launched a hook at him. She watched the rocket shoot off trajectory, and it ended up hitting one of the buildings she was targeting.

Raz smiled in approval at the man, giving him a thumbs up from the distance as she continued her attacks. She gave several hand signals to some of the Mandalorian soldiers around her to go offer this mystery man support and cover. He would find himself surrounded and no longer alone.

She commed Narir then, “Barracks down. Where else? I don’t think we will run into reinforcements,” Nar Shaddaa wasn’t known to have an official presence, but they could end up facing mercenaries instead.

Narir's basilisk opened fire and ripped into the building as well. With focused fire from the two droids and the rocket as well, the building began to crumble inward. The sound of twisting metal and cracking infrastructure rang out over the sound of gunfire and left a massive rubble heap on the ground. A massive billow of smoke swept out into the street and rose high.

More people took to the streets at the sight of the Mandalorians wrecking Imperial assets. Many wielded weapons and blasters and new explosions rippled through the street that the Mandalorians had nothing to do with. It was a regular riot.

But for every person who came out to fight the Empire, there seemed to be others who either hated the Mandalorians or were prospering under the Empire's corruption. Mercenaries, spicers, and general miscreants came out wielding everything from standard pistols to even... was that a violator?

The humming hiss of a violator was followed by a hiss as the round flew up and smacked into the hull of the basilisk. Even against such an armored monster it managed to scorch and scald away pieces of armor. The huge droid responded by shoving a frag rocket down the man's throat, leaving nothing behind. @TWD26 @Sreeya

The Shadow

"Don't tell me you're the reason for all this commotion, Kal.." his private comm. network came alive, revealing a familiar soothing voice--though something was off, the normal aloofness was replaced with slight pauses of anxiousness, if she was uneased about this whole ordeal, then things must have been much worse throughout the city.

"Vianna," Tarrius grunted through his internal communicator, as he pushed his staff towards two charging spice addicts, who had attempted to attack him, pushing them away with ease, he would pause to see the explosions raged by the large and alien droids. There was yelling and riots breaking out all around them, and even Tarrius had begun to feel cornered from all different sides. He would sweep his staff, holding the others back as he spoke, "The whole planet has fallen into chaos..this isn't the work of the typical cast of characters, something I didn't even know was going on...that I chose to ignore. You need to find Commissioner Lartson and the few good men left within the NSPD. Make sure they're safe."

"A girl like me, working for a good guy like you, in public? Wouldn't really help my street cred." She purred through the comms.

Tarrius would take a few blocks to the various parts of his body, causing him to wince and grunt as he was swarmed, "Via..this isn't the time..He's the key to making sure this get's rebuilt.."

"Don't get all sentimental on me Kal, I'll find him, you just do me..us a favor and don't die.." She would respond as she clicked off the com. With men and thugs all around him, this should have been an easy fight, but things felt different. His whole world was crashing around him, and for once he didn't feel like he had control over it all.

After her soldiers went to join the stranger, Raz kept on the lookout for any other third parties joining the fight. To her surprise, she realized a few had cropped up from the sides, one of them even armed with a disruptor. Thankfully, she was freed from her focus on the building ahead of herself. As a result, she was able to shift the droid around, taking aim towards where people were firing towards Narir. She didn’t hesitate before firing a cannon volley towards the group, leaving behind a small crater where the people stood.

“You all right?” She commed Nar, looking around for any others to attack. By now, the streets were clearing out and people began to realize this was a fruitless fight. Between the Mandos and the stranger that helped, it was clear that it was futile to keep resisting their attacks. No mercenary was paid enough to take part in this level of destruction. Without any true loyalty, the remaining men fled, completely forgetting about the jobs they signed up for.

For all the gunfire and explosions, there was nothing but silence in the streets save for the roaring flames that now engulfed the barracks. Raz began to make her way towards Nar, grinning beneath her helmet. Their job here was done, and Nad Shaddaa was in complete chaos. The Imperial presence here was eliminated, and she knew it would make the Republica have an even harder time trying to find a foothold here.

Raz deployed the wing-plates of her droid, springing upwards into the sky. With her job here done, she had to make her way to Quesh.
