The warm gentle rays of the sun shined so brilliantly in their majesty on this day.

Garreth sat quietly in the gardens of the temple. The humming of speeders trailing about the skies in the distance. The city all around him within presence and throughout. A world that breathed in and out. A constant draw.

His gaze was fixed upon the sky line. The tips and tops of these spires were distant, much like his thoughts. Still within reach, but too far to consider. The scars didn't hurt today. His machinery quiet, however contrast in its nature. A slow breath released into the air and the closing of Garreth's eyes soon followed.

The gentle rays, the humming and the spires were now gone completely. An inky blackness filled the void.

Peace and serenity they called it. A state of mind that Jedi can place themselves within. It felt more like sinking against his will. There was no control here. The mind wandered and there was no stopping its wistful disposition now. An opening was prepared and the scars drew breath. There was life. Jedi teachings warned of passion. But to remember.. What a beautiful thing it truly was. A time before the pain. A time before remembering. The light. It had started going out years ago. Before any of the knights. A flame untended.

Then the sound came rushing in.

A bell. One ring.

The echo was rapturous.

Garreth tried to wake himself. His eyes were open, but yet he remained within the confines of his mind. Was this a trick? Some sith sorcery? Had he been attacked without knowing it? But there was no ill will here to be found. Only curiosity. The knight sat up and pressed forward to whence the bell could be heard.

It was a calling.

But who could call out in the force like this? This was never near. Garreth could now see stars forming in the darkness. Their light in all their brilliance was above all that he had seen. Had he been called forth into the cosmic divine by.. the light? The warrior inside took root. There had to be an explanation. There needed to be proof. There needed to be reason. There had to be cause.

Garreth pressed forward and found a shard of light, like that of a source beaming through a doorway.

He reached forth with his mechanical appendage and gripped the door slowly. Taking a moment to brace himself for the unknown.

He had to see the light for himself.
