Things were happening fast enough to make Darius' head spin. Before his trip to Onderon, the clawdite had been a minor player in Zaa Fenn, a mere scoundrel...albeit one with good ideas. ThorneWatch had been his idea, almost starting out as a joke. He and a few others within the KnowOnes had been laughing about how over the top the "Fan Club" was, and how if the Crymorah ever needed to find Thorne they just had to look to where the fan club was. Darius then put out that the club probably had an app to stalk the ISC President. They all had a good laugh at that, and one by one they fell silent as each realized magnitude of the idea. There had been several sleepless nights powered by spice and caf where they discussed the finer features of ThorneWatch and how to utilize it not only to crowdsource keeping tabs on Thorne to his most fanatic followers, but also to collect as much personal data as possible. Largo Softworks had been brought in for the public front, and the rest fell into place.

Then came its launch during the middle of the Senate proceedings. Darius didn't even have time to celebrate the near-overnight success before he was roped into another assignment. That had taken some wild twists and turns and morphed into results that even his superiors in Crymorah had a difficult time believing until he played the audio recording. It was agreed that Darius would be their newest recruit's main point of contact. Some expressed reservation regarding the recruit's position outside Crymorah, and the idealism displayed. It was a valid concern, one Darius shared. And so it fell to him to take appropriate measures.

And so Darius found himself at the Quick-Draw Cantina to discuss things with the infamous White Lion. For the required combat and weapons training Phin sought, there were few others that came to mind as uniquely capable as Gareth. At the very least, even if Gareth didn't personally participate, he'd know who all the key players were in the martial arts and tactical training world, and how best to fast-track a training regimen.

There was another reason, though. Gareth was a prominent figure in the Zaa Fenn. Their resources would undoubtedly be going to this new project, which meant they had to act to limit exposure. Darius was confident they could exert a reasonable measure of control over Phin's activities with the Crymorah, but his dual position posed certain problems. In all reality, the less Phin knew of Zaa Fenn and Crymorah, the safer it was for him - plausible deniability. They would discuss how much access to limit to their new ally.

While Darius waited for Gareth to arrive, he looked at the latest user numbers from ThorneWatch, and did some quick math with his interest percentage. He shook his head in disbelief. He was going to make an obscene amount of credits off of this farce of an app.
