Adun, City of the Dead, Korriban
Arak had been on Korriban for months now. It was originally supposed to be a week or two max, but due to delays and the new academy opening his stay has been constantly extended. He was in the courtyard, drenched in sweat, shirtless, laying on the ground. The grunts of the Massassi warriors doing their basic exercises filled the air. A few feet away his youngest sibling, Shaela, was staring at him with glee. Ever since he returned she'd been following him around like a shadow, particularly enjoying the fact he showed her some of the stuff he'd learned from the academy. As he laid there his mind wandered to Corellia, and an impromptu song. Suddenly a shout rang out from a balcony above drawing him back, and causing Arak to sit up with a groan of pain, "Arak'rishe! Shaela! The king will be here shortly! Arak'rishe go get ready! Shaela come to my room so I can help you!" His mother barked down to them. Shaela ran off without a word, while Arak slowly got up. "I miss hearing someone call me Ari." He huffed as he tried to dust off the dirt clinging to his sweaty skin.
He had just got out of the bath. To his mother's discontent he completely refused to have servants bathe or dress him, his time away gave him a since of freedom and independence he'd enjoyed. He was admiring himself in the mirror, with school being on a break he had little to do in his free time. His body had became more muscular though barely bulkier, his stamina had grown more too allowing him to actually run a decent distance before hyperventilating. It wasn't an overwhelming amount of progress but it was noticeable to him. He still studied tomes for hours, but eventually that got boring. He started doing the routine exercises with the Massassi one day when he aimlessly wandered into them while reading something. It helped keep his mind from wandering to Nash, plus getting stronger could only benefit him when they saw each other again. He messaged Nash regularly, sending her pictures of the city, palace, food and even videos of when the warriors sparred. Though he made sure to try and hide his physical changes, he wanted to surprise Nash with them.
Arak and his two brothers were with their father and a small procession at the Great Gate to greet the kings procession. His father and brothers were all three taller and bulkier than himself, very clearly showing their Massassi ancestry. The group watched as it arrived, Arak's father, Abados, cleared his throat, "My King it is an honor for you to grace my city and house with your visit." He bellowed out after bowing. The entire greeting party followed suit, bowing to their King. "We've prepared a feast and sport for you. If you wish we'll accompany you to the palace." He said motioning his hand to point out his sons. Arak just looked in awe at the Kings procession, he'd attended Arcanos' classes but that was different than eating with him and seeing him outside of the classroom. Maybe he could try and talk to him and learn more of the man.
