It had been a few weeks since the incident on Nar Kaaga, the central processing matrix's as well as the personality matrix and inhibitor chips had been removed and over-rode, giving the droid it's return to functional programming and autonomy, that it had once desired for so long. His former master was dead, and wasting away in the muck of that backwater planet, and the droid regretted the situation completely. Not that his master was dead, but the fact that he had been denied the chance to end the bug himself.

The droid was free now, to travel the galaxy, to take up anything or anything, yet he still felt a connection to the Guild. Though he assessed that this was most likely due to the bounty matrix that he still had downloaded onto his system. The droid deemed that for the time being it would be an acceptable profession, it would give him ample opportunity to waste more undesirables and see the galaxy at the same time.

The droid found himself in a cantina on Nevarro, surrounded by various members of the guild. He had no need for a drink or to socialize with the others. Instead, he made his way towards the back of a cantina where a Gand stood talking to the guild leader.

"Look the target has been giving us a difficult time, someone..with your talents should fit in with the group. He's some cult type hiding out on a moon, just bring back something and you'll get paid the credits you're looking for." The guild leader peered over the Gand's shoulder, "Oh..it's the droid, look...this job has taken out the last two parties we sent..how about the both of you take on the job."

The red optical on the droid scanned over the image that sat on the table, "Assessment: Threxxan Velz is an adequate target, I will not need company of an organic."
His head spun towards the Gand, "I persist you take another bounty."

Zylass had been granted another vision through the Force, visions of distant moons, windwhipped rain, and robed men chanting in a foreboding language had drawn the Findsman to the Bounty Hunter's Guild on Nevarro. He had seen a face in his waking dreams, a haggard man in tattered rags muttering over warped altars and torn sacrifices in the depths of an ancient crypt. When he was drawn back to reality, he leapt to the controls of his pinnace and rocketed to the nearest space port, in this case Nevarro. He marched to the nearest tavern and located the Bounty Hunter's Guild representative, eagerly asking after bounty pucks for old Humans. When he found a puck matching the face in his visions, he asked to take the bounty, politely insisting that Thexxan Velz was meant for him. It was their destinies.

This, as it so often did, gave the guild leader a severe case of the creeps. Talking to a massive bug, reeking of ammonia and chemicals, claiming that it is their destiny to kill a man is an unsettling experience to say the least. The guild leader had begun to insist that Zylass just go and get this guy when he spotted someone else entering the cantina, a droid bounty hunter. One that pointedly claimed Zylass should find another bounty.

"Zylass must respectfully disagree, fellow Guild member. Thexxan Velz has been chosen for Zylass, Zylass must find him and slay him. It is Zylass' destiny." He lowered his head in respect, but still spoke with conviction. Manners must not get in the way of destiny.

The droid scanned over the Gan, analyzing the Gand's fluctuation in his voice and mannerisms. The fellow hunter mentioned something about destiny. Such a concept was alien to the droid, to be ordained to something was a fallacy and this hippy organic had leaned a bit too heavy on the spice. "Destiny..." His cold voice echoed through the crowded guild cantina, "My calculations and analysis on such subjects has lead me to conclude that there is no such entity that organics call fate or destiny." The droid shifted towards the door, "Nor does the force exist...I cannot feel such a thing, and I have only heard of myths, yet never seen proof."

The droid would step out of the door and out into the open of the streets, "We will use your ship for this mission organic, I have scanned the bounty board, his last known location of his cult is on the fringes of the outer rim, the aquatic planet of Castilon. We should prepare to depart now."

As Zylass waited for the droid's reply, he studied the frame of the bounty hunter standing before hm. He'd never seen a model of droid like this before, although he was hardly an expert on the subject, but the droid's presence in the Guild alone suggested he was something unique. Zylass knew enough about droids to understand most were programmed not to harm organic life.

"Forgive Zylass but, destiny does not require validation, only understanding." Zylass had been snickered at enough to know that his views on bounty hunting were far from orthodox, and had a prepared response for nay-saying. "Not to imply that you lack capacity, fellow Guild member. Destiny is a matter of impression and belief."

At first, Zylass had been concerned that he might have offended or driven off this potential hunting partner, but was quite relieved to find that the droid was only departing to take Zylass' ship for their journey to Castilon. He had a hunting partner!

"Of course, fellow Guild member! Zylass will be happy to oblige!"
He turned back to the Guild representative and bowed before offering a free hand for the bounty puck. "Zylass thanks you, Guild representative, for your invaluable services."

Once he had the puck in his claws, Zylass jogged after his new droid partner, back out the doors and down the landing strip to his personal ship, the Kismet. The vessel itself wasn't particularly intimidating, a courier pinnace jury-rigged with all the bare necessities a bounty hunter might need, from refreshers to a makeshift holding cell. He'd even managed to rig the internal atmospheric settings so that his personal room could be filled with an ammonia-based atmosphere just like his homeworld. Of course, the interior of his ship was also marked with odd scrawlings, strange totems, and other miscellaneous reminders of particularly intense finding rituals.

"It is an honor to be sharing this journey with you, fellow Guild member!" Zylass chittered with giddy excitement, circling around the droid so he could open the ship's doors for him and usher him inside. "Zylass' name is Zylass Qetri. If you will pardon Zylass' asking, what is your name?"
