His breathing was slow, his eyes closed as he slowly went through the movements wooden saber in hand. 1. downward slash, 2. upward slash 3. thrust 4. turn and repeat. this repeating move set allowed Felix to clear his head, to mediate in a way.

Ever since he acquired his tinnitus on Denon, he couldn't meditate like he did before, the ringing in his ear as he there sat would be all he could think of but he eventually discovered this way, the movements kept the ringing from coming into focus and also severed as a way to practice move sets.

He did this every morning in one of the small training rooms when he was at the temple and today was no different. he was in his combat robes though without the armour pieces it was increasingly becoming his usual garb when in the temple.

He would have continued with his movements if he hadn't heard a knock on the door, opening his eyes he would turn to face it. "Come in" he would speak waiting for the person to enter.

The half-Sephi made her way to the training grounds, causing hurried footsteps to rush through the corridors. She knew Felix would be there, Padawans talk, and having a Jedi Knight in combat robes in the training room every morning at the same time was enough for a teenager to gossip. And that gossip was exactly what she was looking for.

Clove's obsession with getting stronger and proving herself capable had grown stronger and stronger ever since Dantooine, but she had never shown any progress until Coruscant. Coruscant was that moment at which her own eyes had opened and she had proven to herself that she was capable. She actually fought a Sith and won, albeit with Severus' help. And that newfound confidence led her to Felix. Because, while she knew she still had a lot to learn and couldn't go toe-to-toe with an advanced Sith Acolyte, she also knew it was time to start looking for proper sparring partners.

For actual spar matches.

Not the safe 'oh you fall once, game over!' matches that are taught to Jedi Younglings and young Padawans first. No, the proper matches that look as real as a dual could ever be. Where bruises are a natural part of the process and teach you how to do better the next time.

And that's exactly what she wished to ask Felix. Ruzaan and Arctus were so afraid of hurting her that Ruz ended up looking like he had punched a Pug during a hand-to-hand training session. Xi wasn't afraid to teach her how to fight dirty, but Clove needed some proper lightsaber and Force duels as well. Felix, on the other hand? While they were friends, she and Felix never had the same level of intense closeness as the others. Meaning that he wouldn't mind her request if her gut instincts were correct. Or at least that's what she hoped.

Clove finally came to a halt in front of the training room often tied to Felix at this time of day, dressed in her own combat robes—which were really just her normal Jedi robes with her obi less tight and the outer robe removed—and knocked on the door. And the rumors were true: Felix's voice welcomed her inside.

The half-Sephi threw her leather bag over her shoulder and pushed the door open with her pale palms, her gaze falling on Felix, who was already looking at her. "Hey, Felix! I mean, Master Felix." Her lips turned into a bright grin as she stepped into the room. "I hope I'm not bothering you, but if you don't mind, I have a question?"

"See, I'd like to... fight?" She couldn't help but sigh mentally, what a way to start that conversation. "I mean, duel. Spar. I'm sure you understand what I'm trying to say! And I'm not talking about the stuff we learn in the earlier lessons; I'm talking about the real deal! Of course, with training lightsabers, or..." For a brief moment she looked at the wooden lightsaber in his hand. "Wooden lightsabers." She'd lightly shrug her shoulders, both worked for her.

[Felix]

Felix laughed at her calling him a master "I'm not a master yet and you can always call me Felix." he listened to her proposal, it seemed she was nervous ask to him for this favour, he understood what she was going through, she wanted to get better and she felt that people were going easy on here.

"of course, we can spar, we'll go with training sabers since they are closer to the real thing." he would put away the wooden saber, grabbing three Training sabers, quickly hiding one in his boot whilst it looked like he was tightening it then he tossed the second one to her and kept the last one in his hand.

activating it, he would hold a stance opposite to Clove, his saber directly in front of him slightly angled towards her. "just to let you know i won't be going easy on you" he spoke with a cheeky grin on his face. "so show me what you've got."

Clove laughed back, her head tilted to the right. "It's only polite to address Jedi Knights and higher as Master! But, okay, I'll just call you Felix. When we're not around the Grandmaster, that is." Felix, to her surprise and delight, took her seriously and actually listened to what she had to say.

His reply was even better.

"Yeh?!" For a brief moment, the half-Sephi bounced up, her ears perking up excitedly. "Thank you very much! Using training sabers sounds good to me. Don't want to actually slice each other apart, huh?" She made an attempt at a joke, followed by a cheesy smile. Clove didn't notice the new Jedi Knight shove the hilt in his shoes because she was too busy sliding her bag off her shoulder and shoving it into a corner. By the time she straightened her back, Felix had tossed the hilt towards her, which she caught in the palm of her hand.

Clove activated the hilt next to her thigh, her large brown eyes fixed on Felix. "Perfect! I won't go easy on you either!" She responded with a cheerful smile. "Gotcha."

The girl came to a complete stop as she was about to run towards him. "Wait a minute. With or without the Force?"

Using all reach his long arms and saber, Felix trusted forward with his saber at clove's stomach hitting her, using her pause to ask the question against her.

"with the force, there will be few times you aren't in a fight with someone without the ability use force or technology that replicates it, so use every advantage and ability you have, and I'll use mine, now focus on me" his index and middle finger would point at his eyes.

He would begin to circle around the mat counterclockwise his saber held both hands, he would slash at her, down towards aim at cutting downacross her chest from her left to right.
