Jedi Knight Terek Ordeen clasped his hands behind his back while watching the churning vortex of hyperspace rushing past. He focused on the upcoming mission. Once again he was tasked with fostering the next generation. No matter how many times he did this, he never truly felt prepared. The constant shadow of imposter syndrome always lingering over his shoulder.
Terek took a breath.
“Jedi Ordeen?” asked a voice behind him. Terek turned, flashing the newcomer an easy smile, and responding with, “Correct.”
The comm’s officer snapped out a nervous salute, Ordeen chuckled, “At ease, soldier, I’m not worth that kinda respect.”
“O-of course, sir!” she responded, then apologized for calling him sir, he waved her on, which only seemed to compound her anxiety. “We’ll be arriving at our destination within the hour.”
Ordeen nodded his thanks, she snapped out another needless salute and he gave her a little two fingered salute in return as he turned from the churning miasma outside the transparisteel view port and pulled out his com.
“Alright kiddos, time to get the ball rolling, meet me on the comms deck. It’s time to go over the plan.”
Each of the padawan he’d been assigned to watch over would receive the message. It would only be a matter of time before each of the padawan were forced to put their training to the test. He took another breath asking the force for guidance as he strode into the room.
