Phindar
Co-ordinates: P6
Distress beacon from Ohm-class escape pod, registered to CTS Heaven's Profit
Location: Northern hemisphere of Phindar, topographical anomalies prevent further triangulation.
From the exit of lightspeed to the ambush and finally a crater at the end of a scorch trail that gouged out of the canopy. It had taken 45.75 minutes. Now free from the safety restraints and finally out of the still cooling escape pod, Sangga surveyed the world he now inhabited. An initial sweep with his optical sensors showed no sign of civilisation. This was of course immensely inhibited by the local flora that had grown to a prestigious size!

His internal communication array was abuzz with the distress beacon emitting from the escape pod. For the integrity of his processors and sensor arrays he moved out after collecting a few of the supplies he had been dispatched with. His 'backpack' allowed some room, and the second set of arms extended from within to carry another box above his head. The architect droid moved to the edge of the crash site, not wanting to stray to far from where a rescue team would no doubt start to look.

4 months later...

Phindar, one of the quiet border worlds of the Sith Empire. No battles had been waged there recently and it was possible none ever would. Perhaps it would remain pristine through all time? Well, maybe not, surely someone would find something valuable there. Or it would turn into a stop on an important trade route. Or some twist of fortune would bring civilization, and possibly war, to Phindar.

At the moment, Ravi was hoping to prove himself in some manner there. He was pretty good at piloting and economics. Yet, he was only somewhat good with a blaster and hand to hand combat. The flora and fauna of the place would give him some chance to try those as well and become a more rounded member of the Sacred Band of Ziost.

After sweeping through portions of the northern hemisphere looking for something interesting, Ravi picked up a distress signal. A little puzzled at its presence, he cautiously approached the signal hidden deep within the jungle. Close inspection revealed some old crater, it was fairly overgrown but something was still working. Finding the flattest spot nearby, he landed, left the fighter, and began a foot search for the mysterious distress signal.

The jungle was certainly resilient, in a matter of months the escape pod had been covered in vines, it's curtain covering the open hatch. The crater had become home to a new generation of lichen and vines. The border of undergrowth had reclaimed some areas from the crater a visible gradient in the canopy as younger saplings matured until the meet the intact adult trees.

Any would be explorer of this crater would soon track the distress signal to the Ohm-class pod, if the curious individual was to draw back the curtain of vines, they would find a few boxes that were labelled simply as parts, upgrades and supplies. In the space for model there was simply one word, 'Sangga'. Was this a mistake, was this Sangga's name filled in the wrong space, if so why was it all mechanical parts and not provisions? If it were a model of droid, where was it? Even the most basic self-preservation protocols would keep it near the distress beacon.

Blasterjoe, dressed in his civilian garb, scowled his face. Something is wrong with hyperdrive of this piece of junk, he thought. After checking out the star chart, he cursed. He was in the middle of nowhere, near some excuse for a planet called "Phindar". Blasterjoe was no mechanic, but he had to do. But, to be sure, he decided to land. If something goes wrong, he didn't want to be sent flying aimlessly across the void of space. However, before landing, his ship caught a distress signal. Blasterjoe scratched one of the scars on his face, frowning. Maybe it's a shipwrecked mechanic. Blasterjoe didn't believe in the all-powerful will of the Force, but this coincidence seemed very convenient. Nonetheless, he shrugged and changed the ship's landing course.

After landing, Blasterjoe made sure to get his rifle before venturing out. Member of the Defiant Squadron without a weapon is useless. He also did not feel safe going out unarmed. From his years of experience, he already lived through a pirate ambush or two which baited their victims with a distress signal. Blasterjoe, armed and curious, left his transport vessel. However, his search proved fruitless and only raised more questions than answers. His only answer was that there were mechanical parts which could help him in repair of his hyperdrive. However, there was not a single trace after the inhabitant of the pod, this mysterious "Sannga".

Mr Fleming sat in the cockpit of his high speed shuttle, he did not fly so much as let the computer fly. Not that he could not fly but simply going point A to B was boring and that what the computers job was. But what was to come next would need his personal touch. A Czerka ship had gone down with Czerka information and a rather advanced droid on board and Mr Fleming could see the value in getting both Data and droid. The Cabal had picked up on the distress beacon from a escape pod from the ship, Mr Fleming hoped the occupants could reveal some information on the Heaves Profits location and status. Coming out of hyper drive above Phindar Mr Fleming got a good view of the planet a true un touched green gem. The beacon was still active and the shuttle flew towards it though Mr Flemming took over the once it got low enough so he could land in a more concealed location.

Exiting the shuttle Mr Fleming brought with a high powered hunting rifle, Though he still had his pistols and carbine the animals of untouched green gems where normally big, deadly and hard to kill. Moving through the jungle he reached the crash site but he was beaten there. Was this man the survivor, he did not wear any Czerka uniform, maybe a scavenger or one of those rare types that cared about others. Either way Mr Fleming did not want any accidents. He crouched and brought the rifle to ready position and called out.

"Hey Mister the pod your ride down here"

As Mr Fleming confronted the stranger, the local wildlife seemed to quieten. Some of the small avians flew away, nought but he babbling of a small stream interrupted the silence. To the keen eared observer as small series of clicks emitted from the perimeter of the crater, then a soft whirring.

Two small lights ignited within a tree. Two, dull mud smear lights flickered into life. "Proximity of authorized Czerka personnel has activated standby phase." The two lights emanated from a tree, more precisely from the ivy curtain that clung to bark and metal alike. "Voice recognition required, if compliance not met, this unit's main data banks will wipe in ten seconds. Please comply." The Eriaduan-tone would bring nostalgia to one of the men, a fight in the endless sky of Bespin. A droid that had command of a frigate, the Heaven's Profit.

Nevertheless, there he was, seated upon a throne of wood, and draped in a cloak of vine and leaf. His thin face just poking out, his featureless optic sensors glowing steadily, shining in the shade provided by the canopy. Upon closer inspection, it would be revealed that the tree had used the frame of Sangga as a frame to grow upon, he'd been seated on a rock waiting for relief.

Blasterjoe tightened grip on his rifle. Wildlife here was too loud for him to recognise any malevolent movement from the usual one. He was about to scavenge some spare parts and repair his hyperdrive, as it seemed that whoever crashed here was long gone. But then, a voice broke the air, bringing unusual silence to the surroundings. Blasterjoe instantly turned, his reflexes enabling him to aim at the source of the voice. A man, crouching and with a rifle similiar to Blasterjoe's. The Lieutenant was about to say "State your business here" when another voice spoke. However, Blasterjoe remained his aim concentrated at the man, only listening to voice which must have belonged to a droid. After the droid finished talking, Blasterjoe put two and two together and lowered his rifle a little.
"Czerka, eh...?" he muttered. "You're a few weeks late." Blasterjoe knew that the magnate empire collapsed, however, he never trusted them in the first place. Blasterjoe was better safe than sorry, holding his rifle tightly and wondering if the droid indeed wipes its memory banks.

"Mr Jason Fleming" little doubt the man would now know his name but Mr Fleming did not want the data wiped. Fining the Heavens Profit was personal quest for him not to mention Sannga was prety advanced more advanced than some people.

With both men pointing rifels at each other the conversation would need to be diplomatic. "Well the collapse of a empire does slow things down. Any case you know my name, who i work for. Care to do the same?"

"Authourisation accepted, Greetings and Salutations Mr Fleming. Thank you for coming to my aid, would you further extend your kindness and extract me from this indigenous flora." The droid did not move any of it's limbs. If it could, was yet to be tested, so it remained seated and enshrined. "Until that is achieved, what has happened over the past four months? It is crucial to my primary directive that I know the latest events and any new information that has been brought to light. What is the current exchange rate of Tibanna gas? What price is the stock of Czerka Corporation trading? Have any new markets opened since my enforced absence? What of Director Paige's latest broadcasts, and of course, how is the Master?" It prattled on with it's questioning and seemed to do so without waiting

Blasterjoe listened on to the droid. It appears it has been here for four months. Poor machine doesn't know the news. However, this jungle stand-off was a thing of the biggest concern at the moment.
"Not quite so," replied Blasterjoe. "I know who worked for in the past, Fleming, but not currently. When it comes to me, name's Blasterjoe. Border Alliance, Defiant Squadron, Ninth Squad." he continued. Even though he did not trust this stranger, sharing his name was something he considered mandatory, whether to a friend or enemy.

Mr Fleming chuckled before speaking to Blasterjoe. "Strang name but hey good enough. Sannga Czerka collapsed the bussnies part and Mr Mark joined the Republic and i will rescue soon" Mr fleming lowerd his rifle there was no need to start a shoot out over a escape pod.

"Well Blaster...joe i am here for czerka kind of. A ship went missing all hands men and women. I am simply looking for the fate of the ship. So what say we make a deal. I get the info from the mr Sannga and you return him to Voren Mark. I get what i want you get a favour from Voren."

The droid became silent, that is it did not speak. Within the head, and core there was a rapid succession of clicking, whirring and alarmingly a slight beeping. It's optical sensor shutters closed and opened several times, sometimes only once, sometimes they fluttered. Then it became still and it's 'eyes' were wide open again. "Primary directive compromised, maintenance required, voice verification required, password required." This message looped, it warped as if the droids voice modulator was damaged, then it began sifting through languages and syncopating the pattern with Basic.

Blasterjoe, after going through his options again, lowered his rifle. He was in the lead of planet's military for long enough to know that favours to such a powerful man as Voren Markr were a valuabe thing. He nodded, then finally looked at the droid, which seemed to have started acting up. Blasterjoe tilted his head a little.
"Do as you wish, Fleming," he said, raising his voice over the droid's. "However, it seems your droid needs a mechanic. Just like my hyperdrive."

So the man was strandard here. That made things interesting. At least they where not trying to kill each other. This allowed Mr Fleming to walk down to the crash site.

"Well the driod can be carried. All so a mechanic is not what it needs. I am sure Voren knows the pass word. Any case can't help you with your hyper driver but i can give you lift in my ship."

Sangga was now cycling through languages of the Outer Rim, some screeches, guttural grunts. Always interjected with "Primary directive compromised, maintenance required, voice verification required, password required."

Blasterjoe slowly nodded, still frowning. He didn't want to leave his ship behind, but sometimes, sacrifices have to be made in pursuit of... whatever it is that actually caught his interest in here.
"Your offer is most generous, Fleming." he said, looking back at his defunct ship. "However, I'll have to transport some items on your shuttle." he added, resisting a yawn. The sooner his mission ends, the better. Cracking this droid's secret was something Blasterjoe was interested in, personally. It certainly possessed a wide variety of language skills, which would not be strange only if it was a protocol, translator droid.

"I will even help you carry" It was not a requests out of kindness. More that he wanted to speed things along. He did not want to spend to much on this planet. Fleming contemplated switching the driod off but decided he did not want to risk damge.

The droid, being overgrown with a tree, had not moved for sometime. However, now it seemed to be moving it's hands to accompany some dialect from a far off planet. "Primary directive compromised, maintenance required, voice verification required, password required." It then began to burp and garble forth with Huttese for some part, "Primary directive compromised, maintenance required, voice verification required, password required." Now it squeaked in Jawa, it's optic sensors fluttering as it did so.

Blasterjoe nodded again, eyeing the former Czerka employee. For all he knew, these folks were about trade, preferably in their favour, so Blasterjoe knew that this favour may indeed cost him later. However, there was not much he could do.
"Well then, let's get going!" Blasterjoe said as he turned around and headed for his ship. However, all he took was some of his proviant and a datapad, which contained confident information meant only for Blasterjoe's higher-ups. Upon return on the crash site, he sighed.
"Now to get the droid outta the clutches of mother nature."

"while lets get cutting. Try not to scratch him up."
