In anticipation of the upcoming faction feedback threads that we’re going to be having (similar to staff feedback threads, but not just for faction leaders—they’re pointed for the factions as a whole), there’s something I wanted to talk to you guys about so I don’t have to lie and say it’s being dealt with when it’s not.
In an annoyingly increasing frequency, I’ve been receiving PMs and MSN messages from a number of members (no, not just the one particular member that some of you might be thinking of) who are telling me that it’s very hard to get answers out of faction leaders sometimes. Not even just answers, but sometimes replies in general. Kupo was an obvious problem, but I’m hearing it about the other factions too. That’s not a good thing, because it’s leading members—especially new members—into thinking they’re just being outright ignored. For all I know they ARE being outright ignored, but I prefer to assume good faith and guess that they’re not.
For awhile now I’ve tried to cover you guys on this, thinking that it’s just minor instances here and there. Lately, though, I feel like I’m outright lying and making up excuses, because I honestly have no idea why PMs are going unanswered. I can tell you that the excuses I’m having to make up now are not excuses I would believe if they were being told to me, but there was little else I could do.
So here are a few guidelines I’d like to put forth for you guys:
I’m sure you guys can understand where I’m coming from with this, and I’d like to see it improved. I honestly don’t expect the faction feedback threads to be pretty, and I think this might be a big part of it. I’d like to be able to tell people that we’re well aware of this issue and we’re making sure it doesn’t continue.

• If you don’t have time to answer it as soon as you get it, mark it as unread again. That way you won’t forget about it, because it’ll still be there as being unread.
• Alternatively, PM the member saying that you’ve gotten their PM and will get back to them ASAP. Then, like the last suggestion, mark it as unread so you don’t forget to get back to them.
