INTENT
haven't seen a lot of heavy freighters out there. i wanted to make something that would be a common sight in the galaxy and make it semi-generic and still let it be understandable for being "outer rim" viable, hence the armament. i was inspired by the GR-75. I also made this pre-time skip but re-formatted it to appease Clayton and any other tech whizzes. There are a lot of anti-piracy missions going on and this will be used by PCs and also myself on missions to combat pirate threats and get involved in trade/commerce endeavors. Originally meant to be a generic ship but I thought it best to submit it officially so that users didn't get in trouble when trying to use it.DESCRIPTION
The Centaur, a ship that is nodded to as a positive investment and reliable craft by the seasoned traders of the galaxy. Named becuase of it's tough reputation as well as the bull headed pilots that usually fly it, it is acknowledged as appropriate in the unlawful areas of the outer rim. while some vessels fail after years of rough use the centaur is a tough model. meant to handle the strains of heavy transportation, various climate hazards and the potential violence of the outer rim. A large ship the Centaur attracts attention just from its size but does so in the same manner a fattened nerf might out in the country. while some see it as just that, a prime target filled with credits to be made it is far from defenseless. not only did it first gain popularity in mandalorian space where the populace is plentiful in the violently inclined but it boasts two retractable laser cannon turrets. on on the dorsal spine of the craft and one on the underbelly.there are two cargo ramps on both the port and starboard side of the craft that lead so a main hold. each ramp is covered by an automated stun blaster turret. a fire suppression system exists in case of internal combustion issues as well as depressurization countermeasures. at least two beings are required to fly the craft and preferably three for maximum efficiency. one to two personnel are needed for monitoring the engines and hyper drive as well as other engineering needs. in times of conflict others can go to the turrets but these are meant to have their own hands attending to them.
