The sandstorm raged outside the small cantina. This was an annoyance for sure. He wanted to be making last-minute preparations for the swoop races later that night. He had come to Tatooine to practice his skills before taking them back to Nar Shaddaa. It was easier to race in the desert than in the tight confines of the city, most of the time at least.

He glanced over at the window, still seeing the sands whip outside. The locals said it would still be some time before the storm died down enough to go outside and they assured him it would pass long before the races. Now all there was to do was wait. He held the empty glass of whiskey up to the bartender. "I guess keep em' coming for now." he said, sliding the glass away from him.

He leaned back on his chair. He glanced up at the halo-projector. It was some local game he didn't about. The bartender brought back another whiskey. "Thanks." he said to man before turning his attention back up towards the screen.

A (visually) petite woman ientered the building with the intent to seduce. She wore pumps wore a flirtatious Black Dress with a slit that reveals her left leg. Her leg was long and shapely with her swayed as she strutted up to the bar. Her lips were full and pout and were irresistibly tempting to taste. She had a mesmerizing face and beautiful long red hair. She sat right next to Gillian and she asked him “Oh Darling...what is your name?” in a very seductive tone. She wore her most flirtatious pure-white smile. She thought to herself “he is not an opportunity you want to pass up.”

He didn't notice the woman approaching him until she sat down. He looked over, a smile slowly taking over his expression. "Hi there." he said looking the woman over. She seemed out of place in a dirty old cantina like this, but Gil wasn't one to complain. She could obviously handle herself if she was making it out here. Tatooine was a rough and tumble kind of place, not for the faint of heart.

"Name's Gil." he said, relaxing back in his chair as he took a drink from his glass. He remained on edge, he wasn't totally convinced she wouldn't try and pull something. His trust in others was one of the many casualties of his rough upbringing but he wasn't about to turn away the company either.

"and what might I call you?" he said smiling.

“My name is Maria sloviaena but you can call me Maria” she says to the man she then asks him “Gil, Where are you from?” She wears another bright smile while she runs her finger across part of her hair. She tried to make herself appear more open and approachable through her body language. @Raydo

Finsihing his drink, the bartender brought another one. "Whatcha drinking?" Gil asked the woman. After the bartender left, he shifted in his seat to face her more. She sure was talkative, not that he minded. He just wasn't all that interesting.

"Originally? Corellia. These days I stick to the rim, mostly Nar Shaddaa. I am only here on business." he said taking a drink from his glass. Sure his business involved some less than legal activities but so did everyone's business on Tatooine. "What about you, doll? You don't seem like come from around here." he asked, obviously interested.

The sand storm still raged outside the sleepy cantina. They were one of the few people in the place. If he was going to be held up by the storm, he supposed he could have been stuck with worse company.

"I'm drinking alderaanian wine...My homeworld but I was trafficked and sent here to be a slave of Plorte the hutt. I killed him and made it to a village where an old sith lord gave me what I needed to go to korriban." @Raydo

Gil chuckled somewhat. "I don't think you are going to find Aleranaanian Wine out here." he said. The bartender gave an apologetic look. "Yeahh..I can look in the back, but we don't get many in here asking for wine..." he said before disappearing to the back. They were out in the Galactic middle of nowhere. She was an interesting character for sure.

He listened as she continued to speak. He didn't know what/where Korriban was but he, of course, had heard legends of the Sith, though he had never actually seen one before. If she was tangled up in all of that mess, she was probably more trouble than was worth it. Honestly, he wasn't even exactly sure what a Sith was. He knew they had built an Empire that controlled most of the Galaxy, but now it just looked like any other Empire he imagined.

"So if you had to get to this Korribon.." he said slightly mispronouncing the world "...why are you back on this dustball?" he asked. He never met a Hutt he liked, so she scored some points for killing one of the slugs. "Regardless, here's to freedom." he said raising he glass towards her before drinking.

“to freedom” she says while a sip from a glass of wine that the bartender had poured. She then said “I’m here because I wanted to come back here and see what I wasn’t able to see...Now granted that’s not much but it’s still something..I’ve heard a bunch of monks are building a temple nearby and turning themselves into droids...whatever that’s supposed to mean??? that’s my first stop.”

Surprisingly the bartender came out with a dust-covered bottle of wine. It looked older than the middle-aged man who was now pouring it into a glass. He placed the glass infront of her. "No promises on that, but here you go" he said turning back to other customers.

Gil listened as she lay her rather unusal plans. He hadn't been to that many places, but even he knew there places a thousand times better than this dust ball of a planet. "Wait...hold on a second..." he said waving his hands. "You want to become a droid?" he asked. Why would anyone want to do that?! Seemed like a terrible idea. He eyed her curiously. She was a character for sure. "Pretty sure you would have to give up the hair." he said reaching up to grab a strand of the deep red hair. "Seems like a waste to me.." he said taking another drink.
