More pain shot through Andreus' nearly-destroyed shoulder, but it was necessary pain, for Hal took it upon himself to correct the one thing--and only the one thing--that Andreus lacked the knowledge to directly deal with himself. Hal had set Andreus' badly dislocated clavicle back into place, so that when Andreus got around to healing it, it would actually heal in the correct place. For that, the more inexperienced padawan was definitely grateful, not only for the set bone, but also that Hal hadn't meddled with the rest of his injuries and allowed Andreus the space to deal with himself.
Andreus honestly didn't mind that Hal took it upon himself to telekinetically move him, either, for he knew the area needed to be cleared for the next duel.
"Thank you, Hal," Andreus meant it in more ways than one--not only had Hal done the bare minimum of healing that Andreus couldn't do for himself, leaving Andreus to learn more from the experience, he had inflicted that experience in the first place. However, Andreus wished to correct any notion that he needed further assistance at all; he wished to seize the experience of the class but Hal's words concerning Matsu had left doubt. With a smile on his face, he looked to Matsu (he didn't have to worry so much about Hal) and added, "Please don't take Hal's suggestion about healing me, as Hal covered what I lack the skill for, and I would rather gain the experience by dealing with the remainder myself."
With that, he started on his knee, then his wrist, so he would be able to walk out of the class at its conclusion; his broken shoulder was comparatively unimportant, but he obviously needed his knee to walk on and he needed his wrist so he could use his hand as leverage upon which to get up. Before this class, Andreus had found healing bone to be woefully slow, as bone was pretty much the slowest material in the entire human body to grow back, save a couple exceptions that never grew back, and the healing arts (as Andreus had understood them) basically came to accelerating the growth of replacement tissue. But this class had added the idea of pouring the Force itself into the cracks and gaps wrought by the broken bones, like cement, and filling the breaks in--that was Andreus' failed, or perhaps more accurately insufficient, attempt at Force Body earlier. Andreus' injuries were still far too severe to heal in the middle of any combat he might have been involved in, then he could only truly effectively will the pain away, but at least Andreus would be able to recover afterwards in some reasonable amount of time.
As he meditated a bit on actually fixing his broken and battered body, another thought struck him. Hal had crushed Andreus thoroughly, and Andreus had actually wanted to take the beating to learn the class lesson and was arguably crazy for it. Though Andreus didn't mind, and Hal apparently had recognized that instead of feeling guilty, he knew the rumors of bad blood between the two would likely get worse due to how Hal had broken him like little more than a chewtoy. Normally, Andreus would have wished Hal well for the next duel in the line, but then he remembered that Matsu had earlier said Fanai, the cute little bunny rabbit-like Jedi, was next.
Oh, dear. If Hal crushed the bunny rabbit like he had crushed Andreus, the bunny rabbit wouldn't survive! Andreus had taken a heavy beating, and the kind of strike that had ripped his shoulder open would no doubt kill Fanai instantly and send a splattered corpse flying across the room if it landed. Yes, learning to endure pain and such was the point of the course but Andreus didn't want a Jedi who couldn't just stand there and take the blows without yielding to die because Hal had grown too accustomed to fighting an opponent that required heavy strikes to finally break and defeat. He did have to say something; he didn't want that kind of unfortunate accident on his conscience.
"Hal, I'm not sure your next opponent has the constitution that I do..."
