Padawans Contest

[Syn]

Matsu looked at Adonia and nodded as she spoke. "I was just thinking about Katagiri, she raised me to get justice for my mother and I have never even seen her face. When I was a girl I was called a child of the netherworld because I was born out of revenge. I want to put the past to rest." Slowly Matsu looked around and spoke. "But I have distracted from our training and we must get better to impress or advance in which case We will choose one another to help each other."

 

[Darius]

Adonia's smile went away she remembered the stories that Matsu revealed of her childhood. It was a sad story, and to make things worse Matsu never had closure. "We all will face our inner darkness a t some point in our lives, don't let it use you past against you keep the past as the past, and worry about how you can better you future." Adonia smiled as she watched the many speeder go by, "I have lost three brothers at the hands of the empire, and I have another who would lat his life down for the alliance without a wavering thought, if you him why he does these things, he would only give you names, my name, and the rest of my brothers." Adonia rested her shoulder on the wall still looking at Matsu, "Honor her Matsu, she would not want you to mourn her, she was stronger than that, you're better than that. Remember her in every mission you take, every innocent you protect, she gave up her life so that you could have a better future. Now look at you one of the most promising students in all of the order, and one of the most honorable people I have met since I left my Family."



"A shadow is creeping over the galaxy, it's presence so strong the younglings feel it, I could think of no one better to have at my side when it reaches us, so lets silence our sentiments and get back to training." Adonia backed up and fell into a ready stance, "Have you improved you force manifestation?

 

[Syn]

Matsu looked at Adonia and nodded with a grin as she moved and stood putting on hand palm up and the other down as she concentrated and focused. "I can focus into a run and make a cushion of energy from push but the others are difficult. But All will come with time I do have a neat trick if you want to see it. I promise no bruises.

 

[Darius]

"Well you've been making good use off that all day , I love for you to show me something new, but I do have some tricks of my own." Adonia would save her surprise for later, but she knew Matsu would enjoy it, as she thought on preparing for her demonstration , she readied her body for Matsu's. "Thank you I have broken enough Bones this week,I don't need that from you as well."

 

[Syn]

Slowly Matsu grinned as she focused on Adonia and raised an eyebrow using what she had learned minorly and focused on Adonia's blood vessels to constrict them and make her pass out from exhaustion. Or at least that was what would have happened instantly if a master had done it for now she just focused to try and make Adonia fatigued as her demonstration.

 

[Darius]

Adonia waited for Matsu to show her what shes had learned, it took awhile to manifest, but when it did she was glad she kept her word, not bones would be broken, still she felt like she was going to hurl. she decided to reveal one of her new skills in turn, Adonia struggled to open her eyes, the room was spinning so bad it was hard to focus. Falling to her knees her eyes began to cloud over, Matsu was soon flanked by two clones of herself, the only difference being there eyes were brown, and they did not bear the tribal mark as she did, the small detail Adonia planned to master in time, for now she was pleased to have made such progress by just making solid figures, "You may have taken my body." the clone of her left whispered, "But you will never tame my mind..." The right clone teased. "Now if you would please let me go before I paint this room." the two clones said in unison. The real Adonia could not speak for herself, or else she risked vomiting.

 

[Syn]

Matsu looked at the dopplegangers and nodded as she stopped focusing and spoke raising an eyebrow. "They are nearly perfect, your going to be very good at confusing your opponents. Unless they are fast enough to attack all three of you at once." Slowly Matsu walked around toward Adonia and offered her some water as she sat down and laughed a little. "YOu know though most people throw up during the big run or before from nerves."

 

[Darius]

Adonia slowly took the water out of Matsu's hand as she got herself together, she still could not believe hoe fast she was effected , how fast she was brought down to her knees, and what mad things worse was that it wasn't even at full power. Adonia prided herself on being the one of the Toughest Padawan in the order, what she experienced here was a humbling but informative event. "Sometimes I wonder where I would be without you, and then I get the answer." Adonia turned to Matsu with a warm smile, "I would be arrogant, over confident, I would have been a totally different person, just one of those things, everything must have balance or it will break the scale."

 

[Syn]

Matsu looked at Adonia with a questioning glace as she thought of a joke and grinned a little. "Are you trying to say that I complete you?" With a second of humor Matsuu went back to serious as she pointed to the dopplegangers. "Now that is a trick I would like to learn to do."

 

[Darius]

Adonia smirked, "Did you just joke, this is a momentous occasion." Adonia broke into a fit of laughter, it was not everyday that Matsu cracked a joke, it was a pleasant surprise that went away just as quick as it arrived. The conversation shifted to learning how to create an illusion, "Manifesting them is simple, the trick is the range, it took me years just to be able to fill this room."

 

[Syn]

Matsu didn't smirk just raised an eyebrow as she spoke nodding and holding up her hand. "It took me just as long to learn how to use Malacia." The training is good but there are very few who know how to use it like a master. I need to search the archives one of these days for ways to practice. I do not think the younglings would line up to lose their lunch."

 

[Darius]

"Yeah if you would have armed me I might have opted out..." This was a lie, Adonia trusted Matsu, but a warning would have been lovely. "Ive been there myself, looking up information on a very interesting skill, force light can cut a darksider off from the force, i think that would be a essential skill the way the galaxy has been going." Standing up and stretching herself out Adonia began to feel ten times better. "this was good, I actually feel ten times better after all of that."

 

[Syn]

Matsu looked at Adonia and nodded a little as she grinned and thought about what she was going to have to try and study next. The Jawa in the archives was good for help so she knew he would be able to as she spoke at the mention of Adonia feeling stronger. "I do as well, when you have better learned to control them and can fight it could prove a powerful training regiment."

 

[Darius]

“But this just it…” As Adonia spoke her two clones lit there light sabers, speeding at Matsu they swiped at her, one at her neck, and the other on her saber hand. Passing right through they fell into each other and disappeared in a snap of light. “This is a power of the light , they cannot harm you, even at the master level they are meant to distract not attack.” Adonia looked somewhat annoyed at the drawbacks of her power, but she had always made do with what she had and that’s what she would do. “I have another trick up my sleeve that will prove quite useful, particularly against dark Jedi.” Adonia closed her eyes, it was clear from her face that she was struggling, her arms flew opened fully outstretched, and her head tilted back. The purest of light had now taken hold of the room, it was blinding, and but the light touching her skin was calming filling her with a new sense of vigor. Adonia could not be seen, her entire body was now radiating the healing light of the force. Adonia’s stunning display only lasted for a moment as she soon fell to the ground flickering. Panting Adonia looked up to Matsu smiling, “ I bet that felt ten times better for you than it felt for me, the upside is that the light will cut a Sith off from the Dark side.”

 

[Syn]

Matsu looked at Adonia as she used her illusions to attack her and she stood still as they struck and she didn't flinch trusting her friend and as Adonia spoke and brightened up the room Matsu nodded in approval as she spoke looking at her friend and offering a hand to help her up. "Very impressive, I will have to work twice as hard to keep up with you and your master." Slowly Matsu raised an eyebrow as she remembered and spoke looking at Adonia. "How are things going with your master?"

 

[Darius]

"They are going well, he treats me me as an equal more than a teacher, help keeps my head clear. We haven't even practiced combat yet, we mostly talk about the force, that's why today was badly welcomed, I need a good match to keep my skills sharp." Adonia laughed as she pulled her hair out of her face, it had come lose as she used the light of the force. "What about yourself have you been chosen yet, whoever does is going to have. quite a time with you I'm sure."

 

[Syn]

Matsu looked at Adonia as she shook her head, she hadn't been chosen yet but that hadn't stopped her from wanting to know more as she had been searching the Jedi archives. She had a few things she wanted to learn as she spoke. "No I have not, but I can be patient and if it comes to it I will train and learn until a master acknowledges me. next time we do this I will have a few new tricks up my sleeve."

 

[Darius]

Adonia put her hand on her friends shoulder, "Don't worry, I feel soon we all will have more training then we can handle, thing have been getting a little more heated around here, I fear dark times are quickly approaching." Adonia walked back over to the window a pressed her head against the window seal, the wind began to catch her hair as she watched the many speeders go by, "Ill have to leave here soon...to go back to training, but when I return you best be ready for a proper competition like today."

 

[Syn]

Matsu looked at Adonia and grinned as she spoke raising an eyebrow and actually speaking with her voice as it came out like silver bells. "I never even broke a sweat, your going to need to get more fit in your old age." With another laugh Matsu looked at the window and nodded, she sensed it to a gut feeling that she and the others would be thrown into a galactic storm.
