Hey guys, I've been relatively quiet on the Jedi-side of things, and I've been looking to change that. And the easiest, and most obvious way to do so is by taking a Padawan. My character, Arkantos Rajax is in a bit of a pickle when it comes to being a Jedi. He's not a traditional Jedi, but he is above all a good guy, and pretty wise too (if I do say so myself).

He hasn't really been involved too deeply in Jedi affairs (for one, he doesn't even know Anoth was compromised), considering he's been undercover with the Cartel. So, my Padawans will have to learn to deal with it, or possibly hang around a bunch of criminals from time-to-time. You won't have to join the Cartel either, I'm sure I can make a cover-story. I have a couple of locations where we'd be training, both in and outside Cartel space. Thing is, I'm going to be very clear from the get go: if you're looking for a Master to hold your hand all the way into you become a Knight, I'm not the guy you're looking for. Your character will have to learn to be independent, do things on your own without my help a lot of the time. How are you going to learn? Well, by making mistakes and taking risks, like any normal person of course.

A big flaw in my character is that he is very solitary, and prefers to be alone. So his students will learn to deal with a Master who isn't breathing down their neck at every turn. But at the same time, I want you guys to work together and recognize that the Jedi Order is also a brotherhood. Wait, that's right, I'm looking for more than one Padawan! I'm hoping of getting two, maybe three depending on the characters. Also, because he's been used to not really using the Force as much in the last ten years or so, his connection with the Force is a bit shaky right now, which I hope to fix through our travels.

Arkantos is a Sentinel Jedi who's looking to balance his own imperfections a little bit more, and also the imperfections in his students. I want to give your characters some non-Jedi training, while you focus on training among each other. Quick overview of what Arkantos will teach you:
  • Stealth (non-Force) and Infiltration
  • Augmentation Force Techniques (Force Body, Revitalize, and Center of Being)*
  • Weapons Training (Blaster, Slugthrower, Lightsaber and more traditional melee weaponry)
  • Survival Techniques
  • Jedi Philosophy (according to him)
  • Much, much more!

If you're still reading, I'm glad. Also sorry, I know, I rant a lot. A lot. Now, ideally I'd like a Jedi who's very strong/talented in the Force and another who's more adept in the more physical aspects of being a Jedi (a Consular and Guardian), but I'm open to any type of character, really. Personalities don't really matter, it's about finding a balance and chemistry in the team.

Also, note I'm pretty busy Out of Character with Cartel AFL duties but you guys will have my #1 priority when it comes to actual In Character stuff. Also, I'm going to be a bit busy with this new job I got as well, but I am always on the forum, so I can answer any questions you might have. I will also be off on the weekends, which will be the times I'll be most active. I do post rather frequently anyway, at least once a day (per thread) if I can. I do however hope my would-be students are pretty active and doing things on their own. I want your road to Knight to be memorable and fun, but also filled with a bunch of adventure and character development.

Anyway, if you're interested, even a little, let me know! I'm hoping to find my students by next Friday and have a thread up that night to introduce one another, as well as a training thread to get us right into thing. Be aware that being my student, there will be at least another student along with you who you'll (more-than-likely) have to work together a lot with -- ideally. Also, we'll be doing a mission right after our first meeting/training thread and a few more training threads and other missions that might happen concurrently. I like to knock stuff out a lot at the same time, so I juggle threads like no tomorrow.

*OOC: Like I mentioned, he's pretty weak when it comes to the Force right now, so these will be taught sometime later, once Arkantos gets more comfortable really applying the Force again. He will also teach more Force Powers throughout the training, and at least the basic steps to preform the techniques just incase his progression goes stagnant. He'll need you guys to teach him, and he'll in turn teach you guys. Fair trade, right?

Awww...Arky is going to train some newbies! Potential names for the duo: Arky's Paddy. ArkPad. Padawax. Arkawan.

Arkawan is my favorite. Padawax is close second.

I haven't had much chance to roleplay my Jedi padawan for sometime. I think being trained by Arkantos would help him go a long way. Here his link; Aramis Kaldur

Davins Profile I might as well give this a go. I'm new and trying to get into to some of the main stories.

My padawan initially was seeking to became a consular, but after all the deaths that he testified, he was becoming more adept of the guardian's path.

Well, pending his acceptance, I put forward Madikh Vuget for being a Padawan. The independence and trial-and-error learning you referenced fit well with how he prefers to work (in honesty, he really wants a Master simply for the purpose of bettering himself as a Jedi - partly out of a quest for revenge), the non-Force reliant stealth is something he has dabbled in and could use further training in, survival techniques are something he could benefit from, and outside of Force sight (which, being a Miraluka, you could say he has mastered) he doesn't know much of various Force powers and techniques beyond some rudimentary practice so the Alteration training is going to be a huge boon for him if you accept him. Though, on the note of the Force, as a member of a naturally Force sensitive species he could probably help Arkantos re-strengthen his connection to the Force in a general way if not with particular abilities or techniques - and teach him the principal of Force Sight if he doesn't already know it.

Plus, going undercover in the Cartel sounds cool if it would help with the cover story, but if not then that's cool because I'm not looking to steal your thunder.

So . . . please?
