Despite these traits, Owen can be warm and gentle to those he truly cares about, he protects and takes care of those around him.
With fellow schemers and politicians who understand his game, he has a definite respect. However, they can very easily become his enemies if they interfere with his plans. With others who are oblivious to his intentions or less intelligent, he adopts a different façade, acting more caring and generous than he really is to mask his true personality.

BIOGRAPHY
[fancybox4="http://www.seriesdatv.pt/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/house-of-cards-joel-kinnaman1-360x202.jpg"]Owen Hesse was born into a wealthy Arkanian family heavily involved in genetic manipulation as many Arkanians where. A quick study, he picked things up quite quickly. Given the best tutors and teachers, the young boy excelled in math, science and politics. Always wanting to get better and always thought he needed to get better. As with most Arkanians the idea of brilliance is not simply a desire, it is expected. The desire stemmed not from a want to please his family. That would infer some kind of fondness of his parents. The desire to excel comes from a much simpler want. Power.
Owen started his career with the Arkanian Dominion, a corporate meritocracy based on performance. Of course a young Arkanian couldn’t simply outperform his older counter parts and relied on extortion and blackmail to budge a foot in the door. From there Owen steadily rose to higher power within the Dominion. His skills playing the game of politics and the contacts his family had in the corporate world made sure life never got boring, always someone’s job to take, of course you don’t get very far making so many enemies, unless you have allies as well.
While beginning to announce his ideas to the head of state for when he becomes head of intergalactic Affairs, he is informed he had passed up for the position, which of course angering the boy. He had worked so hard to get his name into the pool and then much harder to get it, far too hard to be replaced last minute. The response was the only reasonable one. Owen would have to bring down the new nominee. Moving briefly back to the old game of smear tactics the coverage was enough to have the nominee replaced but not with Owen. No, the government knew exactly who leaked and they were not about to give him exactly what he wanted. They did however like the persistence and offered him the Galactic Senate seat. A position far more political than what he had aimed for, and one that he would decide he enjoyed more than anything else in the Galaxy.[/fancybox4]
