It was another day of troublemaking. Narir had purposely been avoiding any types of civilization or civilized territory since he'd been on Nubia because the last thing he wanted was someone to say "oh yeah, I saw a Mandalorian walking around" and have his cover blown. On the other hand, driving through the middle of nowhere to get to and from your ship and target, was much easier. Besides the mild discomfort of having to ride a speeder bike for long distances, it was a much safer alternative.

So here he was at another location that would help rob Imperials of their ability to produce ships. If these Sith weren't careful, they'd soon lose all of their ability to produce ships across the entire galaxy. Their navy - currently one of the only dominant things that kept them in power - had been pounded from every side.

The beauty of this particular style of fighting was that no one knew where or what you were going to attack next. Right now, the Sith wouldn't know that Nubia - far from Mandalore - would be the next target, so the best they would likely be able to conjure up in opposition was a few straggling soldiers or Sith. It was precisely why this was such a perfect target, and the factory set against the side of the river was such an opportune target. It was dark out in a way that seemed to totally coat each inch of the world, and there didn't appear to be anyone actively working the factory right now. It was positively perfect. Perfect for Silent Badger anyway... but given his history, perhaps not quite as perfect for Bad-Luck Badger. @Darasuum

THEME

Even Koil, a man with limited appreciation for aesthetics, had to admit that the planet was gorgeous. He sat in the other seat as the speeder road along with his eyes scanning the land scape. It served both to observe any possible approaches of enemy combatants as well as appreciate the grandeur of the area.

Once again the Echani had joined his fellow Al'Verde on a mission. The two seemed to balance one another out. Koil's expertise in covert operations and Narir's effectiveness in direct attacks combined to serve the needed power to drive home the agenda of the Mandalorians. Some might think such opposing aspects would be harmful in close proximity would be mistaken. Koil saw it almost as a challenge for his own skills. One day, in the future, he would face a true threat that required a great amount of skill and no small amount of luck. The more experience gained would allow him to successfully overcome such an issue.

His weapon was held in both hands firmly as his his helmet looked out over the surrounding terrain. His mind strayed to thoughts of the Empire's soldiers. What did they feel, what did they think when signing up for the regime of the Empire. Those things would not stop him. Seven hells, if another mandalorian came between him and his clan he would not hesitate. But the Echani was still curious to an extent of the minds that were ensnared by the tyrannical rule. After nall, to know your enemy, you must become your enemy.

Taang Shul walked up the stairs to the cafeteria. Both this world and ship yard bored him. But at least the food was good and if you stuck on a pointless guard duty on a pointless world at a point ship yard knowing the food was good was probably the greatest thing that would happen today.

Truthfully Taang would of enjoyed this world far more if he was not stuck in the imperial ship yard for hours on end. The time he had free was few but he must admit Nubia was pretty. Maybe he would come back here on a holiday. But for now Taang only joy was the food before him. The cafeteria was not large but even so bring open all day and night meant it was never packed. O why could some thing exciting happen, any thing really.

Narir pulled the speeder to a stop a short while later, parking it behind one of the thickets of trees before jumping out. The two could use the surrounding darkness to make their way forward without difficulty. He knew Silent Badger would have no problem with that, and Narir followed the lead of the other man, stepping where he stepped as his carbine swiveled around to scan the darkness and look for any possible threats.

His vibroblade sheered easily through the small fence at the perimeter, and they were inside within moments. It clearly wasn't designed with a military assault in mind. No one wanted to spend thousands of dollars on legitimate gates and walls, when they could put up a flimsy fence to keep out the general riff-raff. It worked out for the two Mandalorians.

A glance either way showed no one in sight and there were no security cameras to catch the pair as they pressed up against the side of the building. Now it was just a matter of finding a good entrance into the building that was 1) silent and 2) didn't drop them into a horde of Imperials or technicians. At this time of night, that was unlikely, but Narir had learned better safe than sorry. If Bad-Luck could undo him, it certainly would. @Darasuum @Andrewza

Exiting the vehicle the Echani followed after his fellow Al'Verde. The rifle in his hands was ready for use if necessary but there was no enemy in sight. The darkness of both their armors allowed them to move like shadows across the empty grounds. He stayed low and made sure his steps were silent as well. The lack of noise from the two mandalorians made his own senses tingle for any slight sound or reception that could mean imperials moving in on them. Most of them were probably off duty, resting or relaxing. That meant they be low on the guard and even if they were scrambled they would not have a team ready as soon as day hours. Nobody liked get roused from sleep for any reason, even mandalorians.

The building the two were moving towards looked to house large machines but it was quiet inside. It was apart from the rest it would seem. At this time he was not surprised that the machines were inactive. He checked the door with his left hand to see if it would open. It did not open automatically for whatever reason. It probably helped keeping the sound of machines on the inside from blasting out when they were in use. But seeing as they were inactive it would mean the two badgers would be fine to enter and sweep the area. Closing the door behind them they would see it was empty.

Taang Shul had his last bite before getting up and leaving. The coffee cup still in hand and filled Taang walked to the garage drinking as he walked he still drank coffee. "So where is Felix he is meant to rounds with me"

A short portly human sat behind a desk with a look of wanting sleep on his face. "Called in sick, an hour ago, I mean not like anything happens here so you can do it alone."

Taang gave a sigh and walked on, nothing ever happened at Kuat either. How long till the empire realises they at war. The Mandalorians and the traitors were not simple bandits and pirates. Climbing it to the front of an imperial ranger 88-v ranger he set off. The trip was along the perimeter fence to see if there were any issues. Normally it was very boring.

As Narir poked around inside the building, the pair of Mandalorians snuck toward the heavy machinery. There was a lot of it, with many moving parts that could be messed with. Blown up or... wait. Narir had a sudden idea. Molten metals were passing through the upper machinery for casting in large pathways above. They were often carried in large, cup-like containers large enough to fit multiple people.

We can turn the metal flows on, pour them into the machinery, he said, keeping the idea brief. They needed to move now before anyone found them. Take these and set them on the flow path, he said, handing two of his frag grenades to his partner. If they were set on the flow path and detonated, the molten slag would not follow its normal path, dripping into the heavy machinery.

Narir would go turn on the flow regulator, opening it to full and the metal would drip into the heavy machinery, cooling and hardening to make the equipment un-useable. Don't stray too far, he said, not bothering to say that they needed to be careful. It was implied. @Darasuum @Andrewza

Koil examined the machines. They would be able to repair them or find replacement parts if they did not damage them enough. Much of this was built to the specifications of the specific ship yard and the metal was kept heated at all times. Let it cool then it would solidify and be too much time to reheat. The two mandalorians would use this status to their advantage.

Taking the offering of ordnance he would do just as Narir advised. The man would set the timers ahead of the flowing metal's path. He set the timer so that portions of the flow would still allow the heated metal to pass while still falling to the machinery below.

Even if the machines were resistant to the heat the solidifying metal would clog up the machines and make them unusable. After this, they would only be worth their weight in scrap. He went over to the emergency shutoff panel and used the butt of his rifle to smash it so that nobody would be able to utilize the countermeasures once it began. Afterwards he brought his carbine back up to his shoulder, ready for whatever came next in the dark recessed of the building. Now they just had to wait.

Taang Shul drove along the fence on his V 88 ranger speeder when something caught his eye. A break in the fence. "Krief" someone was breaking in. Not sure why, there was nothing here to steal, nothing small enough at least. "Hey control there is a break in the wire at sector 22 zulu." Looking around Taang spotted the nearby buildings and pushed forward on his bike "Roger, we will dispatch a team over there" There was nothing out of the ordinary other than a hole in the fence "Roger that control, I am gonna keep my eye out till they arrive, but you best be fast. something is off about this break, there could be intruders but don't sound the alarm yet"

Moving of Taan set up his bike and himself in the cover of an old shed where scrapped parts where kept. From here Taang could keep an eye on the fence and the buildings nearby but at a glance, his ranger would blend into the random trash laying about.

Narir moved his way up to the flow control center and flipped the switches, activating everything as the machinery started up with a quiet whirr. Within moments, a few seconds, the metal was molten and flowing down the tube, which gave Koil the opportunity to blow the explosive. There was several small booms and Narir looked up to see the molten slag drip down into the machinery, and he smiled behind his helmet.

He suppressed the urge to let out a "woo-hoo!" and instead settled for a small fist-clench of victory. Nice work, he said into his comlink as he pulled a frag grenade from his own belt. He shoved the blaster rifle barrel into the console and pulled the trigger, ripping free the console's now-loosened front frame before shoving the live grenade inside. He backed quickly away and it detonated.

That's the only console to shut this off, he said, moving over to the emergency shut off next. It was the only other option for shutting down the flow, and Narir promptly shot it into oblivion. By the time he was finished pulling the trigger, the entire flow lever was completely off, the electronics were completely singed to a crisp, and there wasn't going to be any shutting it down.

He watched a moment as the metal flowed down, covering the major engineering equipment, ruining it permanently. We'll need to get out of here soon, he said, once he was content there was no redeeming the equipment. But by now, he figured someone's attention would have been drawn, which meant Narir kept his attention alert.

Underneath his helmet the Echani's lips curled ever so slightly at their immediate success. He heard the sounds of his cohort destroy the last possible countermeasure to the damage being done. He made sure to stand clear of any damage and was holding his weapon at the ready in case someone came into the building. The sparks and bright molten metal brought high contrast to the area and plenty of shadows to remain in as he waited for his partner to finish. With his scatterweave covered armor anybody that chose to enter the building would certainly be unable to see his dark armor. The scope of his weapon was already pointed at where anybody's center of mass would be if they chose to open the door. His trigger finger hot on the trigger but his mind was as cold and indifferent as the dark plates that adorned his body. Should anybody come through that door he intended to put a bolt into them.

The machinery turning on caught Taang's attention and before the first explosion Taang was on the move. "control we got sabatuers in, building 121" The building had only 2 ways inside. A massive cargo door used to bring equipment inside and a smaller door for personal. Both where next to one another. "understood we scrambeling all forces"

Rather than enter the building alone Taang moved the bike to cover the entrance. Massive flood lights where now on turning night in to day and alarms blared.

Even if the sabatuers got out another way the entire yard was active now. No way to get out undetected.

Narir could see the flood lights come on as they were preparing to leave. There was a limited guard presence, but more than that, Narir wasn't planning to stick around. This wasn't the center of a densely populated city though. It was a factory far away from towns whose people had already gone home for the night. There wouldn't be any rapid response times to a civilian compound, which meant it was just the two Mandalorians and this single guard.

Narir made his way toward the exit of the building with his rifle raised. It didn't take a genius to figure out that the flood lights meant "HEY WE KNOW YOU ARE INSIDE THERE" so Narir had a pretty good idea that he needed to keep his rifle up and eyes open.

He hit the controls for both entrances, letting them open up at the same time (really, though, wasn't having a single personnel entrance for a massive factory a space-OSHA violation? Was this even real life life?) so that his opponent wouldn't know which one he was coming out of.

But he didn't come bursting out into the open. He used the interior of the facility and some of the industrial crates as cover, firing a pair of bolts in rapid succession at the man's chest. He'd positioned his speeder in front of the doors and not taken cover, which meant he was all but a sitting duck for the Mandalorian sharpshooter. @Andrewza @Darasuum

Koil tensed at the sight of lights hitting the limited windows on the building. The interiror was still dark though and the lights only caste more shadows from what remained on the inside. However he knew the two of them would not be able to stay in there for ever.

Narir did not even need to tell his fellow Al'Verde the plan. The two were in sync and the Echani moved towards the personnel door. He moved behind a heavy piece of machinery yet untouched by the molten metal and took aim through the door even though the solid surface of the portal made it impossible to see what was beyond. The shadows of the building made him nigh undetectable thanks to his scatterweave armor coating. This felt like a fantasy, a bloody fantasy. Even in fairy tales there were terrible atrocities. Witches getting throwin into ovens, innocent animals killing on another. Such stories when told in their true form were of little comfort for children and Koil would not recount the events that were about to pass if requested to withhold the gory details.

Both doors opened simultaneously. The hum from outside told him of a single vehicle. The sound of repuslor engines were all too familiar. But Koil already had his sights set on the being on the bike. The floodlights did not penetrate deep enough into the building to find the Echani. He let loose a pair of bolts at the man on the bike just the same as Narir. The clan's training seemed to have its long lasting tendencies instilled in its members.

As soon as the doors started opening Taang withdrew his blade a got the 88v rangers engines fully primed. Peering through the smoke he could not see inside. These facilities where mostly crewed by droids so the doors where prety big but the smoke gave lots of shadows to hide in. But blaster fire gave people away.

Leaning to the left Taang mustered the force and pulled him self to the left allowing him tobavoid the blaster shots Taang returned fire with his vechiel mounted blaster. With out a need to worry about ammo Taang kept firing blindly suppressing the doorway. 4 blind shots going through the door

Two blaster bolts sailed past the speeder missing as it shifted to the left. The other 2 Taang deflected back to there sender. The ranger was now moving faster and tang was forced to turn left so he was no longer her strafing but actually driving to the left.

Narir watched his first bolt slam into the windshield and the second slammed into the Sith's chest. Two more found purchase and the man slumped to the ground dead. Perhaps Sith weren't so tough after all. Or - more likely - some were and some weren't. With his rifle still up, he approached the fallen man to ensure he was dead, firing two more shots into his head to be safe. In Narir's experience, it paid to be sure your opponents didn't get back up before looting them... which Narir promptly did, snatching up the saber from the dead man.

It seemed a transport had just dropped into their lap as well. He was going to suggest that they take it when he realized it might have some sort of tracking device aboard. The last thing he wanted was for the Badgers to be tracked, so he opted against making the move in that direction.

We should get out of here, he said to Koil. It was the obvious thing and not something he needed to say, but he wanted to put distance between them and the destruction they had just caused. Good work, he said to Koil, sticking out his fist to his fellow Al'Verde because, yes, he needed a fist bump for that. They'd taken one more Sith out of the galaxy, and Narir could feel the adrenaline pumping. He needed to get drunk... or make love... or something. He didn't know what, but something. This was a huge win, and one more strike against the Empire.

Crash, splash, bang, slam. These practically popped into Koil's head as he watched the Sith and his body take the combined fire of the two mandalorians. As Narir advanced on the corpse Koil moved out of the building and kept his weapon up and looked around to see if there was anybody else in sight that might take shots at the two. All the while he kept his fellow Al'Verde in his peripheral vision. The appropriate double tap came soon afterwards.

Narir's suggestion for moving onward earned him a grunt of agreement from Silent Badger. He turned his head slightly at the held out appendage of his comrade. With his left hand he made it into a fist and obliged Bad-Luck Badger. It seemed he was not that unlucky as he would have some think. After Narir moved to leave Koil quickly reached down and took the Echani sword on the man. He shared the species with the dead sith but that was not why he had taken it. It was a trophy, a milestone for his own personal accomplishment. While he had not felt it was a particularly ardeuous and trying fight, it still would be remembered. When they got back the man might even party a bit and not just a round or two of cu'bikad either.
