Per my OP template, thread is death enabled
Saijo was a planet that was almost forgotten by the rest of the galaxy, but it had a dense history filled with war, sacrifice, and death. At the present moment, it was in the possession of the Nagai, a fortress world for their armies and fleets that had been forced to flee the Tofs over a century ago.

After the Tofs invaded their homeworld of Nagi, many of the Nagai military had been forced to flee their homeworld in a bid to escape the ensuing onslaught. It was only desperation that had forced the Nagai to work alongside the New Republic to drive back the Tofs invasion and ultimately resulted in the Nagai settling a large portion of their population at the edge of the known galaxy.

Although they had ultimately driven the Tofs off of Nagi, many of their forces remained permanently colonized on Saijo. A century of fortifying the planet and not invading the rest of the galaxy had to be getting boring for the somewhat-naturally-confrontational culture, and that was where Kaldar came in.

Kaldar enjoyed the finer things in life, and had gotten a table for himself on a small balcony at a restaurant overlooking a river just beyond. The gentle rustle of the water and the whispering of the wind through the trees was almost enough to make him forget that he was here to blackmail, spy, and kill his way through the Nagai government in preparation for a Sith takeover.

Fortunately, he had a plan for that. Unfortunately, he had a partner. He didn't really like working with others, but he saw the necessity of it, and Kaldar decided that the Rule of Two could have an entirely different and useful application in the modern Sith Order.

He had met the other man on Arkania, but to say that he knew him was a stretch. They'd find the full measure of each other's skills soon enough, he supposed.

Drexus was preparing for the next mission on his list. This one felt a bit more dangerous for other reasons. He was here with only a single other Sith, one that he only knew of. He didn't personally knew this individual, which was going to be annoying but they'd have to manage as this was going to be a major victory on their part should they succeed.

Arriving in his usual armor he'd sit at the table that his partner Kaldar was seated. Choosing to not say a word, he would lean forward placing his forearms on the table. Then after getting a look at him, Drexus would speak up.
"What do you got so far?" Obviously talking about their mission, it needed to unfold without a hitch. Being the two Sith to bring the Nagai into the Order's affiliation would really boost their credibilities. Not to mention, boost the might of the Sith's growing army.

Kaldar was new to Drexus, so it would be a game of whoever fucks up first is the one taking the fall out of the two. True Sith nature. Though Kaldar admittedly knew more about the Nagai than Drexus, so the Zabrak was here as the support for Kaldar to do what he needs to. Drexus will bring his A game where it was needed.

Kaldar took a sip from his glass of orange juice as the other Sith took a seat next to him, asking what he already knew. The Sith's gaze flicked over to his new companion, and besides the tattoos, the first and easiest thing to note about the man was that he was built like a truck. Kaldar wasn't a small person and he was quite fit, but he was practically dwarfed compared to the Zarbak.

I assume you read up on the planet and history before coming, he said. He actually had no idea if the man had read up on it, but if he hadn't, Kaldar wasn't going to explain it all to him.

There are two major political parties on the planet: the Liberal Reform Party and the National Action Party. LRP has been in control of the Oligarchy for years, but only by a small margin, and the NAP has been growing in support, he said.

NAP wants to return to aggressive expansion and conquest and the LRP is opposed, he said, not explaining anything more than that.

We're going to cut a deal with the NAP to help them gain control of the government in exchange for a combined expansion effort, he said. Nevermind the fact that the Sith would later turn around and ensure that a "combined expansion" always benefitted the Sith first and foremost.

When Kaldar began speaking up, Drexus would nod at his statement about the reading up on the planet. He learned quite a few things but getting this refresher on what their goal was really helped him for the sake of the mission. LRP lame, NAP good. Seemed pretty simple on paper, but anything with the Sith that seemed simple always turned out the opposite.

"Alright, sounds easy enough. Though the Nagai are a pretty proud people, we'll need to impress them somehow." He wasn't entirely wrong, the Nagai although slender and gaunt, they had immaculate speed and deceiving strength when it came to combat. The likes of a group of Nagai against and adept force user would probably be a scary thought.

A combined expansion would be a pretty good outcome, Sith hiding within the Nagai territory and coming out of the darkness when the time was right. Sounded right up their alley at the moment. Kept them in hiding until time to strike, as well as gave them an ally. Power at it's finest.
"You got a name for the NAP's rep? Or are we blind at the moment?"

Impressing them would be the tricky bit, but given they respected cunning and martial prowess, Kaldar had hopes that that would be their way in. If not, then they could always just resort to murder and intimidation. They were the Sith pair that were old as time.

Kaldar clicked several more buttons on the datapad and set it on the table so the other Sith could see. Bendak Arcturus. It's all public information about him, so who knows what's true and what's just being spun for public benefit, he said. Kaldar didn't trust any news sources because he knew how they could spin stories to be whatever they wanted. Truth was irrelevant and a lie.

We've got a meeting in an hour, so put your game face on, he said. He had no idea what would come of that meeting, but he was ready for anything.

He pushed to his feet and headed off in the direction of the meeting without another word, falling into his own thoughts as he considered possible scenarios.

In no time, they had made it to their location, but rather than the expected office, Kaldar was surprised to see it was more of a private villa where the man took his meetings.

I'm Mr. Hist, here for our one o'clock appointment, he said to the gate security who rang back to the house.

Go right in, Mr. Hist, he said, waving them up to the front. If Kaldar had had more self-confidence issues, he probably would have felt bad walking up to such an appointment, but Kaldar didn't have those issues, so he strolled in like he owned the place.

Drexus listened in on what they knew about this Bendak. Seemed like the common wealthy man so far. All his information that was public didn't show anything noteworthy in Drexus' eyes. The thing that got Drexus was when Kaldar said they had a meeting in an hour with the man. They were moving fast, which honestly worked for him quite well.

The game face comment left the Zabrak slightly unamused as his helmet stayed on at all times. Though he appreciated the inadvertent humor. He stood up with Kaldar and followed the lead man to make this meeting happen. Arriving to the place they were stopped by Gate Guards and Kaldar handled it fairly well. It was a little boring not hacking and slashing at the cronies, but he supposed if there would be killing going on, it'd be in the meeting.

"You think he's gonna be a prick?" Drexus asked as he cracked his knuckles, "Cause I'm itching to fight after what I read about the Nagai." They were fast, strong, and cunning warriors. It'd be a feat in itself taking on a good few of these guys. But there was a mission to do so for now Drexus held back his intrusive thoughts.

Though.. walking into the appointment. Everything felt like it was running too smooth. It was supposed to be political, but he hadn't been asked to remove his helmet, or his weapons for that matter. Seemed off, but hey, if they trust Sith walking into their territory armed then maybe the stories are all true.

Kaldar considered the question that the other Sith posed to him about what the man would be like. It was difficult to know for sure. Kaldar had reviewed holos of his speeches and policies, and had a good sense for the face the man put on, but what he was like behind closed doors was, unfortunately, anyone's guess.

Publicly, he's a hardline. The "dig your heels in deep" type who likes to appeal to the Nagai's "honor" and "glory days," he said before shrugging.

If we're trying to pitch him that, then hopefully he'll be on board, he said, glancing back with a scowl as Drexus cracked his knuckles and talked about his eagerness for a fight. Just what Kaldar didn't need.

We're here for an ally, not a corpse, he stated bluntly. Would they have to kill him? Who knew? He didn't actually know they were Sith yet, and he chalked the "not being searched" bit up to the fact that the Nagai liked carrying weapons for both practical and ceremonial purposes. He doubted anyone was actually searched.

They were led into the house and upstairs to an office where they were forced to sit for... several minutes waiting for the man. It was a powermove by the politician, but Kaldar wasn't worried about it. The man would play ball one way or another.

Ah, Mr. Hist. And... he tilted his head to the side and looked to Drexus. Between his size and the helmet, he seemed to take the man for a bodyguard ...your associate, he said. His voice was smooth and melodious, and Kaldar reminded himself that they had at least some ability to influence minds through their voices.

What can I do for you both? he asked. Though his voice was calm and smooth, Kaldar had seen the proverbial fire he could conjure when speaking to his followers, and he also knew the man wasn't someone small to be trifled with. If there was killing to be done, Kaldar wanted to do it on his own terms, and today, here and now, wouldn't be it.

Kaldar had explained just the basics of what the population knew of the Nagai leader. Made sense though, he did already mention he only knew the basics. What stood out was the "honor" and "glory" that was mentioned. As a warrior Drexus had plenty of that himself, but of course words were the politicians sword.

Sitting in the room waiting, Drexus grew bored and annoyed. Pacing back and forth slowly, the Zabrak crossed his arms. It was clear which of the two Sith were built for speaking and which one was built for fighting. Kaldar had a patience that Drexus only wished he could develop.

As the man they waited for entered, he deemed Drexus for a bodyguard. The Zabrak didn't know if he should feel insulted or proud that he thought he was a bodyguard. One hand he'd be the lacky, but the other he was the strong one. Either way Drexus knew if he spoke up it'd ruin their chances of diplomatic relations. So Drexus would simply nod as he stood still to give the man the attention he so clearly was requesting. The voice of the Nagai was also very smooth and subtle. Almost something that if whispered a little bit would be enough to put ASMR listeners to sleep.

Kaldar glanced over to Drexus who didn't say anything to introduce himself, so Kaldar pressed on.

Allow me to speak plainly, the Sith went on. I am a Sith, he said, deciding that showing his hand early might just be the most efficient way to go about doing this. Or at least the quickest way to really get the man's attention.

We haven't been particularly popular in recent days, but those with power rarely are. Unfortunately, the incompetence of our previous - dead - leadership has lost us much of the power we once had, he said. He pointedly mentioned they were dead because the only way this would work was if they managed to convince this man that the error that collapsed the Sith Empire was one that had already been dealt with.

We came here because I propose a partnership. We assist you in gaining power here on Saijo and you assist us in following through on your platform: expansion into the galaxy, he said.

The man gave them a firm look for a long moment, and Kaldar already knew that in order to make this work, he would need leverage, but that was what the future conversation would be about.

I like your style, the man said after a moment, cracking a smile, and Kaldar got the impression that he'd been waiting for just such an opportunity to come up.

You Sith are manipulators, are you not? he said, though it sounded almost like an accusation.

I need my political opponent out of the race. Either an accident or someone convincing him to drop out. But it must be subtle. No one can know, he said.

Then, we will discuss your alliance, he said. And that was as good as Kaldar needed.

Consider it done. We'll be in touch, he said, standing to leave.

@Scoobert 20/20 for him cooperating

Once the man had entered, Kaldar was on top of his game. The Sith had a way of speaking and coercion, Drexus was even getting a bit brought into his spiel even though he know the plan. Seemed the Nagai was pretty bought in as well. A man who didn't want Sith ties wouldn't ask for a certain type of favor to be done. Drexus nodded when he heard the off and couldn't hold it in, "This will be fun."

The Zabrak made a few steps toward the door and waited for Kaldar before exiting the room. Now it was time to find this opponent. He was sure that not only would the Nagai give them the name, but that there would be plenty of information on where this individual would be. A public press conference or maybe a visit to a local shop. Either way, the Sith wouldn't have a difficult time finding them.

"Spose you're wanting to talk our way through this one too?"
Drexus would speak to the man he was here with, in his modulated voice. If they were to be talking it out again, Drexus wanted to at least use intimidation. But, if his counterpart decided that it would be more fun for a fight, the Zabrak would be happily ready to take the man head on. Though using the force and sabers would give away who they are immediately. So maybe getting him in a secluded area first would be ideal.

Hmm, he hummed as he considered what Drexus said about wanting to talk his way through it as they headed out. He did value being able to talk his way out of situations when he could, but that wasn't always possible. Sometimes simply killing someone was the simplest answer, but when that was necessary, he preferred extensive planning in order to make the actual kill as simple as possible.

It's might be an option, but killing him might be the best choice, he said. It was more permanent, and any other candidates would struggle to gather support on such short notice.

We'd need to make it look like an accident, though, he said. He knew that if they failed to make it look like an accident, they may lose their entire potential for an alliance.

How are you at infiltration? he asked his partner as they started heading in the direction of the political rally.

Drexus nodded and began moving his arms and shoulders as if warming up for a fight, "Sounds good to me." Then the making it look like an accident comment came up. A little unfortunate but still doable. With a political rally like the one going on, they could easily drop the lights on him. Something like that would be seen as a tragic accident. "Doable."

The Zabrak began thinking of all the accidental deaths. Lights falling, vehicle crash, fall down stairs and broken neck. They were all doable, but Drexus thought that it should have some flair. So many ideas, and only one to execute. Then Kaldar asked how he was at infiltration.
"Well. I'm tall, muscular and wear a helmet with armor over my body. Though I could do it if needed. It'd just require me to take it all off." Drexus shrugged his shoulders as he spoke to Kladar, "What'd ya have in mind?"

The thought of showing his face to a Sith he wasn't sure he could trust was a little bit of an uneasy feeling. Though the chances of him guessing he was the son of Darth Draugr were fairly low. There's so many Zabrak in the galaxy, many of them red as well. It should be alright.

Just like to keep our options open, he said when Drex asked what he had in mind. Truthfully, at this point, he didn't have anything in mind because he hadn't seen the rally yet. But it would be hard to recon the rally with the other Sith in full armor. They already stood out enough without looking like they were here to kill someone.

Or they could hit the man's house, he reasoned. There was no actual rush, and Kaldar always preferred to take his time to plan his moves when possible.

He gave it thought as they walked, hearing the shouting and loudspeaker before he saw the man himself. The rally was - fortunately - not in a closed off location, but rather in a downtown park, set up to be "accessible" to everyone. Either the man was an idiot who actually believed that every idiot off the street should get a say in how things run or he was just manipulative enough to say that so people voted for him. He guessed it was the former based on his platform.

He stopped short of entering the rally and let his eyes move slowly over the area, looking for any way they might be able to complete their objective.

It was so... public. The more eyes he looked around to see, the more he felt like it might be wiser to take the man at his home. It would allow more reconnaissance as well.

I don't like it, he said. Let's tail him to his home and do it tonight, he said.

Kaldar had his opinion on the open scene in front of everyone. Drexus didn't really care where he died, but the flair would've been fun to see. Nodding the Zabrak would walk away and find a secluded area to open the dark web channels to find the man's address. It took only a couple minutes before it popped up and Drexus added it into his locator. "Alright I got it. Should have some time to scout the house once we get there."

Drexus would begin making his way in the direction it had shown to go. Then he had seen a couple individuals hop off of some speeders to enter a cantina down the road.
"You thinking what I'm thinking?"

He hadn't known much about Kaldar, but the more he worked with him the more he could see that Kaldar is a planner. He doesn't work off of impulse it seemed. Not that he wasn't capable, but that he preferred to be in complete control of how he handles the situation at hand. It was commendable.

The Zabrak would hop on one of the speeders and start it up.
"It's go time. Race ya there." Then without a hitch he would gas it and begin making his way to the place.

Kaldar was surprised when the other Sith seemed to have a means of locating the man's address, but he wasn't going to complain. Pleasant surprise because it meant their job of recon would be at least slightly easier.

Good work. Address? he asked, heading in the direction and scoping out on maps what was around the location.

Kaldar looked over at Drexus, a blank look of confusion on his face as Drexus asked if he was thinking what Drex was thinking. Clearly he wasn't.

After a few moments, he realized what Drex was going to do and nearly keeled over. Did he want them to get caught? Did he want to ruin this mission?

The kriff are you doing? he hissed angrily. Any attempt to be incognito the moment a APB went out on the stolen vehicles, and that was a guaranteed way to blow the whole mission.

And he was fully intent on ensuring that Drex didn't steal a speeder, instead heading to hail a cab.

As the estate came into view, Kaldar's eyes scanned carefully over everything.

We can use that as an access point, he said, pointing to a wall that was a bit lower than the others because of the uneven ground. It would be easier to clear it with a leap from there.

We can knock him out and give him an overdose of insulin, he said, a technique that he had been taught before. It was quite difficult to prove on autopsy and could be passed off as an accident.

We should head back to the ship, get our supplies, and get ready to come back at night, he said. Then you can drive the getaway vehicle, he said, not particularly amusedly.

When Kaldar spoke up Drexus got a little annoyed. He wanted to have a little bit of fun, but the buzzkill came to ruin the day. The Zabrak looked back at him and got off the speeder. "Alright we'll do it your way." Following Kaldar back to the ship he would take his sit in the cockpit in the copilot seat. They needed to get to the residence to scope it out. The politician they were hunting needed to get got soon.

As soon as nightfall came Drexus would be ready, but for now he waited on the other Champion to call the shot once again. To be fair, Kaldar calling the shots has gotten them this far without deterrence. So maybe it was for the best. Drexus did often act on impulse.

The sky grew darker and the Zabrak grew a little more impatient. Though he kept his calm and contained himself so that the mission can be completed and the Nagai join them in their endeavors.
"You bout ready?"

Kaldar could tell that Drexus wasn't happy with him, but... Kaldar also didn't care. Where Drexus acted on impulse, Kaldar did anything but. He was a creature of preparation and planning, and it had served him well so far.

After retrieving the gear, they came... and waited and watched, and night fell. Even Kaldar struggled against boredom, and he hoped his impulsive partner would keep himself under control. Fortunately, he seemed to, and Kaldar gave a nod when Drex asked if he was ready.

You know how to sedate someone with the Force? he asked, deciding to confirm before they launched in. Dull sense wasn't exactly a mainstream power, but it also wasn't unheard of. If Drexus could keep the man asleep, Kaldar would inject him. If not, then the Zabrak would have to restrain him in place without leaving a mark. Slightly harder, but still doable.

Either way, Kaldar made his way to the area of the wall and leapt over, landing smoothly on the other side as he made his way to the building itself. There was no sign of any guards, but that really wasn't that surprising. Even important political candidates didn't have protection on par with the President of the ISC.

Kaldar went to work on one of the locks, and it slipped open in short order, allowing the two of them access before the guards did come around. Kaldar motioned ahead to what should be the bedroom of their victim.

Drexus was cracking his knuckles and warming his body up for the mission that was soon to be underway. His patience came at a cost. The Zabrak felt the need to do something and it bothered him so light cardio was his way of keeping himself entertained. Then Kladar would ask him if he knew how to sedate with the Force. He hadn't tried it before but he could give it a shot.

"Never have before. I don't mind trying, but if I can't then I'll put a stasis on him and cover his mouth. Should be able to hold that long enough for you." Drexus would've liked to just suffocate the guy with his pillow or poison the ventilation system in the residence, but whatever Kaldar had planned should work well enough.

Once the other Sith began to make his way up to the residence, Drexus noticed the lack of security. He had to remember that this guy wasn't at the highest status quo compared to the rest of the galaxy. It'd be slightly easier to maneuver inside. Drexus had made sure his gloves didn't have holes in them to make sure that fingerprints aren't left behind. He noticed Kaldar motion to what was the bedroom as far as they knew. Drex gave a quick nod before using the force to open the bedroom door as quietly as possible.

Once he was in the the room he saw the man sleeping in his oversized bed. The life of luxury was flattery and people bought the most useless stuff with it. Reaching out with the Force he would focus on the feeling of sleep to keep the man under. Reaching out and connecting to the man's mind turning off all feelings of pain and discomfort.

Kaldar nodded, and although Drexus didn't know how to sedate someone with the Force, he was fairly sure that holding him in full body stasis - while more straining - should do the job just as well.

Good. We just need to make sure not to leave any marks on him, he said. That was the real trick of this situation, and his mind started thinking about options if that failed. Ultimately, they wanted it to look like an accident, but if that failed, they needed to make sure it wasn't connected back to anyone.

He scanned the property for signs of cameras and dodged them as they came inside and clicked the door open button with a gloved hand.

Kaldar pulled out the needle and slipped it into the man's navel, injecting a massive dose of the insulin. It would be at this point that Drexus would begin to feel the pain flashing through the other man's mind and into his own like lightning, forcing him to keep the man unconscious through great effort. Pain was exploding in his mind, and he fought to squirm on the bed, forcing Kaldar to add a bit of his own Force-restraint to the mix as well.

Slowly, the movements subsided, and the man's mind began to slip further and further away into death.

As Drexus held the man steady for Kaldar to finish the job that had to be done, he could feel the man's pain. It was definitely not the greatest feeling in the world, and when he felt it hit unexpectedly he had to keep his focus. He almost lost it, but thankfully through the sharp pain of the needle and the burn of the poison, he was able to hold out on the pain to keep the man in the bed unaware of the situation.

After a few moments he would wait to see if the poison had done the job. Searching to see if he felt the life of the man still connected to his own. When he couldn't, Drexus broke his focus and began taking some deep breaths as he leaned over and placed his hands on his knees. Once he caught his breath he would stand straight and give a thumbs up to Kaldar.

Seemed the man was gone, took a little bit but it worked. All they needed to to do now was escape. Drexus would look at the balcony exit door and then back to Kaldar. They could evade through the darkness outside, or they could turn back the way they came. Drexus would point to each option and motion his hands a little to say 'which way?'
