This topic is going to go down pretty well. I am going to control all npc's like a gm, and this will play out like a storyline in dnd without the dice rolling. Just keep in mind your stats and abilities in comparison to others. If you don't, I will so no worries there. Also please do not try to derail the storyline by pointless and reasonless fighting. Other than that, please enjoy the story.

@Horizon: You know you were just spamming and trolling. That had nothing directly related to this topic. Also we aren't just depending on stats, I'm expecting people to fairly judge their character's skills based on the guideline they provided. This ooc topic was also not provided for criticism of the role playing topic.

More like useless garbage. Stats really never do anything for anyone. Plus this breaks the whole free form spirit that everyone is accustom to on here.

Like I said. However the stats shouldn't intrude on free form. I mean free form does not mean do anything you can think of without reasonable limits, which is why I would like people to somewhat use the stats they created. You can't just give stats and then have your character strong as a wookiee with something like "4/10" or "below average". It wouldn't make sense with that.

People don't use the stats that much though. If they do it is because they are usually new. At your example though, I would think it pointless to even mention the stats. Plus persuasion is also a useless stat seeing as everyone has a choice in being a persuaded via text.

I was using persuasion for npc interaction, you know to be fair since I control the npcs. Plus, I'm sure they'd have a general idea of what their character can and cannot do. I'm sure they could just provide that in a nice form that is easily comparable with others.

It's all about origins. This one is my character's origin, and someone else can now post their origin, so on and so forth. I thought everyone would establish their character and then we all go on this journey with each of our own goals. My character's goal is to reclaim his land.

Okay so part of the campaign will take place on Ossus, then we will travel to Coruscant, then it is off to an underwater planet, return to Ossus for a short time, and then back to Meldo Skyrak's home world for the final epic battle.
