Aurelius watched as his boarding ships launched and landed in the Alsakan hanger bays. A little to his surprise, they reported no resistence. He made sure plenty of troops went aboard and began to round up the Alsakans. They were grouped in terms of job (either soldier, technician, rate etc) and importance (those of lower rank in larger groups than those of highest). Of course they were all carefully searched at gun point, their weapons taken and they themselves bound in stun cuffs before, gradually, with the largest and least important groups first, they began to be loaded up onto large shuttles and transferred to cells on board the large, hulking, ominous prison ship. Aurelius heard that the Alsakan leader requested he come onto the ship before him. A ludicrous request, it seemed to Aurelius, he was in no state to be making demands. As reports began to came in detailing rosters and other such things, he skim read certain ones, especially the manifests regarding one Captain Freyr Kange and Major Zaneak.

He took his comlink and spoke to the leader of the boarding action, "Captain," he said, "I want everyone rounded up and on that prison ship ASAP, I'll then have skeleton crews come aboard to bring the Alsakan ships back to Anaxes. Also, I want you to bring Captain Kange and Major Zaneak before me; I want all armour and weapons of theirs removed and they shall be placed on holding cells in my ship. Also, according to the manifest Kange has a pet; don't harm it, but do cage it and have it brought with him."

"Yes sir," came the reply. Good, he thought, soon they would be before him and he could look into the eyes of a man who would order a fleet to burn a city of innocent civillians. He then turned to another officer, "Contact the freighter flotilla. Have them make with all speed to Anaxes, and when I arrive we shall discuss their reward." He continued to stare out of the window, as he awaited the arrival of his prisoners, anticipating them greatly.

Zaneak was thrown to the ground roughly by a young Republic ensign. He watched the man eye Zaneak's katana greedily. As the ensign started to reach for it Zaneak said, "If anyone but me trys to take it out of it's sheath it will kill the holder." He laughed to himself as he saw the ensign snatch his hand away from it. "Oh, and I think I can udnress myself thank you." Zaneak took off the segments of armor and layed them in a neat stack on a table next to his katana. He was now dressed in an Alsakan uniform with the apporpriate decorations. He always kept those in a small bag on his uniform. HE pinned on his multiple campaign ribbons and medals along with the Major insignias. He then marched stiffly out of the room accomponied by two guard with rifles held at his back. They shoved him into an office where a Republic officer was. Zaneak stood up straight and rubbed out the wrinkles in his uniform. "Major Zaneak Loyalar 1392050"

Freyr's case was less eventful than the other, handing over his weaponry, waiting for a soldier to check for hidden articles, and led to the same room as the major.

His falcon, thankfully, was left unharmed, though it hated the prospect of having its movement restricted to a small area. Only Freyr's presence kept it from causing unnecessary disruption. The falcon was placed inside the room first, then the captain followed. Shoved into the room, with the door hastily closed behind him, Captain Kange straightened his posture. He took a momentary glance towards Remiel, his falcon, before returning his attention towards the Republic officer before him.

"Welcome, Major Loyalar and Captain Kange, I am Captain Aurelius Knite. Please be seated," he gestured two seats across from him at the table, and he took his own. Flanking him were two guards with rifles, and there were two guards on either side of the door. A further two had brought the prisoners and as they sat they covered each from behind, well out of either of their reach. Each of the prisoners, as per his instructions had been stun cuffed. The guard who had set the falcon down quickly moved to cuff one of their legs, each, to the chair they sat on before undoing their wrist cuffs, and stepping back to a cabinet, withdrawing a tray on which was a decanter and a number of glasses. The man offered each of the Alsakans a drink, before pouring one for Aurelius and taking his place next to the falcon. The table they sat at was large, too long for either of the Alsakans to reach Aurelius, or vice versa. He looked Zaneak squarely in the eye as he spoke, "So, this is the man who would order the destruction of a planet," he paused as a flash occured outside the window, indicating their transition to hyperspace, skeleton crews on the Alsakan ships bringing them back also. He gestured toward Freyr "and his second in command. Whoever ordered such an attack must be a very cowardly individual."

Miran was about driven out of her mind. Sure there was stuff to watch, movements to plan, but even the innitial boarding had been without combat of any kind. Having been refused contact by the republic fleet, things were certainly starting to drive her insane. She checked the chrono. "Your kidding." she half-muttered to herself.

Half alseep again next to her, Darren gave a start at the sound of her voice. Quiet as it had been, they'd been sitting in silence for a good while now. He looked up and yawned. "What was that, hon?" he asked, stretching while he glanced across the control consoles at her.

Smiling softly at his movements, she said, "It's been more than an hour and we haven't even been contacted by the task force, aside from the innitial sitrep." The soft smile dissipated and was replaced by a harsh frown. "They've boarded and obviously taken prisoners. I want to know what's going on. We don't even know who we caught or what was on-board. We could have caught an alsakan grand admiral for all they're telling us. They could at least keep us informed of what's happening." Darren smiled in turn at her frustrations. Always got to be in control. Hun, one of these days you'll learn to relax a bit. Aloud, he sighed. "Be patient. Boarding three cruisers is a big deal, and even if they're being cooperative, it'd still be a big pain to move those thousands of crewers to the prison barge. It'd be easy to lose us in the fray."

She looked back at her console, frown deepening as it gave her no new information, and sighed. "You're right, lets go grab some food from the galley. It's not like we need to be waiting on them the whole time." Darren's soft smile widened into a grin, "You keep that up, you'll start to sound like me." Rising, he started walking back towards the galley. Stopping in mid-stride, he shook his head quite obviously and headed to Miran's seat. Bodily picking her up and 'tossing' her over his shoulder, he continued his walk to the galley. Miran, of course, was making one hell of a fuss, and he'd definitely have bruises the next day, but it was worth it in his mind for the change in pace.

Slowly, Miran began to calm down a bit. The stress left her a bit and she began to relax. She was still a little on edge, but it wasn't the same as before. By the time they got the message, she was just finishing up the light snack Darren had made her, despite it only having been ten minutes, she did feel better for the break. dropping the last bite of the sandwich onto the plate, she ran to the cockpit. Hitting the receive button, she waited patiently for her orders. "Figures." she muttered to herself after she closed the comm channel.

Signaling the fleet, they all detached from their respective cruisers, those that could still make it, prepped their jump engines. The seven vessels who burned out their hyperdrives in the jump, stayed near the republic vessels and requested permission to ride along. Their repair costs may not be covered, but they should at least be given a ride to the repair facilities.

Zaneak gave a stared hard into Aurelius' eyes, "And you are a servant of a corrupt government that left is bringing the galaxy to ruin. I do not revel in the killing I do not like it. But for one, why didn't the Republic fully evacuate the city? Do you not care about your people?" Zaneak paused for a moment, "No....I can see that you do indeed care, it is your superiors, those in charge. Do you think they would hesitate to wipe my home planet off the face of the galaxy? Taking every man, woman, and child with it? No, I didn't start this war...but I am going to end it."

Zaneak sat back in his chair, sniffed the drink to check for any poisons that might have an odor and then decided he would have to trust that the Republic didn't want him dead yet. He also shot a look at Kange that said quite clearly, don't bring up religion.

"What city?" Aurelius replied with a bemused smile, "Bessimir is...was a Republic military training post, for manuevers both on world and above. As far as settlements are concerned, well the barracks of almost all of these posts have been emptied because of the war; without their business the few who worked at them left, the few merchants and bar owners had no customers. The only "cities" on that world were the few spaceports, that our 'uncaring' Republic ensured were evacuated weeks ago. Even if it were full, it's a fairly pointless target, your military commanders perhaps should have assessed it. It has no strategic value, no political or propaganda significance. You've burned a dead world in the hope of killing civillians, Major. And I believe your Alsakan campaign at Ruan went in a similar fashion; that's a farmworld and was evacuated more urgently than this place, as it's closer to Coruscant, but even that has no significance, it's on the edge of the deep core, and we cannot travel there."

He paused for a second and added, "perhaps you are an idealist Major, but one man can rarely end a war, especially one on the magnitude of a galaxy. The Republic would not be so callous as to break the rules of war like that. Some people have values still, Major. I believe Colonel Hurley is one of them; he didn't start this war either, your leaders did. But he's trying to end it, although I can't see this war ending with words. He is a great man, do not think our leaders are as heartless as yours Major," he paused again as the Alsakan sniffed the drink, and chuckled, "Come now Major, if I wanted you dead I'd have had you shot before bringing you aboard. No, you're a prisoner of war, and the Republic treats it's prisoners fairly, you shall be subjected to a fair trial when you arrive at your prison. And I have a feeling that Colonel Hurley himself may want to speak with you."

Zaneak scolwed at him, "Do your worst Republic scum, you will not get any information from me. And I pity you for your gullibility in beliving that the Republic is as moral as you seem to believe." Zaneak spat on the ploside table and threw the glass against the wall, "Now let us go or keep us, but don't insult us by making us listen to Republic idealogy shit"

"Like I said, If I was going to harm you I already would have done so. I see you are being defiant for defiant's sake, Major. Perhaps Alsakans don't teach their children manners," he added as he wiped Zaneak's spit fromt he table with a hankerchief. He continued, "I am not gullible, Major. But you'll see for yourself when the Colonel arrives," he shook his head sadly, "It is unforntunate you cannot bring yourself to be civil; I had quite thought that together we were warriors, regardless of being on different sides, and had thought that worthy of respect. It seems you do not agree," he turned to the guards, "put them in the holding cells. Separate cells, and make sure they are fed if they are hungry. Feed the falcon also."

He shook his head in disappointment as the brusque Alsakan, the victim of a lifetime of anti-Republic propaganda, was restrained in stun cuffs by the unarmed guard, covered still by the others in the room, before being unclipped from the chair, blindfolded and led to the cells at gunpoint. Of course, the camera that had recorded the entire meeting would make for a very nice news story that evening; Alsakan brutality in the face of Republic mercy. Very nice indeed.

((We'll arrive at Anaxes shortly. They'll be different threads for your interrogations, when Brendon's done with the various Jedi he has to meet. Aurelius will also meet Markus char at Anaxes in THIS thread. So assume with the next post we've arrived and Markus is coming aboard. Niner/Lavi, feel free to respond to this here, but know that this meeting is pretty much over.))

Kange noted the glance his direction, and answered simply. "With all due respect, Major, keep your manners in check: we're 'guests' here."

He quietly scolded the major for being so aggressive in his talk with the other. The two had no trump cards to deal: all they could really do is toss words onto a platter for them Republic soldiers to dissect.

"As for you, Captain Knite, I think your name is, I expect that my falcon be treated properly."

As with the major, the captain has avoided drinking the beverage. This was his fault: if he fled in the face of the civilian force, they wouldn't have been captured. Freyr realized on the bridge of the Alsakan flagship that he grotesquely underestimated the light freighters. Would he have been shunned by other militants if he ran in the face of those ships?

Miran and Darren walked thru the corridors of the vessel, quite unsure what they'd find. Presumably, they were there to rehash some of their letter or marque, something about not being officially licensed to attack Enemy fleets instead of their shipping, if the message they'd received was any indication. So they walked thru the corridors, following their guide, and hoped this would be resolved soon. Miran already had plans for the financial gains from this raid, but whether their gains would be enough to cover the cruiser they had in the works remained to be seen.

((This is my last post in this thread.))

As a republic soldier bundled Zaneak towards the prison ship he spoke to him, "Would you please send my appologies to your commanding officer for my disrespectful behavior in his presence, tell him I hold the utmost respect for him as a soldier and that I hope we can meet on better terms in the future."

They'd been walking thru the corridors for a few minutes before they entered a room. They saw a single man waiting for them across a mid-sized table.

"Finally we're getting somewhere." Miran said softly, Darren barely able to hear her commentary. After several seconds, Darren recognized the leader of the Republic war effort in space, Aurelius.
