Operation: Cold Shield
Jedi Mission Pack
Ilum is a sacred world to the Jedi. Yet it is too isolated and defenseless to stand up to a large battle. Expand our holdings into the neighboring sector to improve our resources for that area and create a buffer zone for incoming enemies. A small detachment of Knights not comfortable with the front lines will assist here to gain experience.
This mission pack is now full. Enjoy!
Mission 1: Ghost in the Machine
A larger asteroid field in the system is home to several millennia old mining facilities, most of which are all but destroyed. One however may be salvageable and could serve the Jedi Knights well. But who set these up and why are they gone? And why is the A.I. in the computer firing mining lasers at anyone who would approach?
- Objective: Investigate and secure the mining facility in the asteroid field, reporting back on its future use.
- Conflict: Given the vast and sparse nature of this sector, there is very low danger on this mission from outside forces. However, the A.I. system may be a bit more challenging (ASK thread, with MODERATE RISK).
- Reward: 1/4 Sector Capture, Mining resources for Jedi war efforts
- Required: 2-3 Jedi
- NPCs: Optionally ask Jedi FL/AFL to NPC the AI.

One of the viable systems in the Redoubt system is home to several colonies that migrated here during the Sith wars long ago. They are warring with each other constantly, vying for ultimate control of the entire planet. The last thing they want is outside interference. But can they be convinced of the Jedi's good intentions and perhaps be called to peace?
- Objective: Make contact with several colony governors of Planet X377-B and convince them to a ceasefire, as well as allowing a small Jedi station (resupply and refueling + listening outpost) on the planet surface.
- Conflict: While the migrants have maintained galactic silence for some time, it is assumed they will be hostile towards visitors (ASK thread, with HIGH RISK).
- Reward: 1/4 Sector Capture, additional communications relay
- Required: 4 Jedi
- NPCs: Marcus or recruit elsewhere

Can a web of sensors be setup to watch over the hyperspace and open space shipping lanes in this sector? We need to find out. Nothing should stop us but our own technology or lack of ingenuity, right?
- Objective: Test and begin to create a series of communications relays throughout the sector to establish a sensor relay network.
- Conflict: There is evidence of other spacecraft attempting to mine the sector, including pirate activity and multiple-ship conflict (ASK thread, with MODERATE RISK).
- Reward: 1/4 Sector Capture, spacial advanced warning system
- Required: Marcus + 2 Jedi (may optionally supplement +1 outsider to help with Tech if need be)
- NPCs: If pirates/etc show up, those should be NPCd by someone else.

One of the life-sustaining planets in the Redoubt system has no sentient beings or colonists, and has only been visited by random explorers and scientists. But could the Jedi make use of such a lush world, ripe with a vast array of dangerous animals and beasts beyond your imagination? Yes, of course!
- Objective: Explore and report back on the possible use of Planet X378-F as a training ground and place of refuge for the Jedi, including a medical facility.
- Conflict: There should be no danger from external forces, but this will present the Jedi with a considerable amount of danger within (ASK thread, DEATH is a very real possibility).
- Reward: 1/4 Sector Capture, additional Jedi training and medical outpost
- Required: 4-5 Jedi
- NPCs: The group may elect to recruit other players as animal NPCs - max of 2.
