(OCC: This is an open thread for any Jedi or Jedi aligned character who would like to do some work on Jedha.)

Clovis plucked another book from the ancient mantle above an un-sued fireplace, the book was one of many that the ancient Temple of the Kyber contained, unlike many of the other repositories of knowledge throughout the galaxy this one was not fully digital. Though around three quarters were on a number of data pads set in more modern cases, some of the more abstract and older texts were still on paper. The dry air of Jedha and the dark vaults of the temple made a perfect environment for the paper to last over the decades, centuries if not longer since they were written.

Turning back into the center of the room, he took in its scope once again, the Temple itself was massive, only Tython is larger, well was larger, it was know only an pile of smoldering half molten rubble. Along both sides sat rows of seating with small desks allowing people sit and read, their was already another three Jedi in the room, part of the first wave of members coming to begin the transformation of the ancient temple into a thriving center of galactic peace. In the center of the room was a holo-screen, he had found shortly after first entering the temple, it was a map of Jedha, slowly rotating on both of its axis allowing a full view of the planet. It was one of the most complex holo-screens he had seen, it showed not only the planet and the major hubs, but also the cycle of the sun and of major ships coming and going. Clovis had spent had a number of hours studying the map but his mechanical skills where not fantastic so was waiting on a more technical mind to appear to help him with it.

Taking a seat on one of the benches he opened the ancient book, its pages cracking a small layer of dust falling onto his lap, he blew gently onto the pages to remove the last of the dust before he began reading. 'The temple on Devaron...'

Al-Ric brought the Interceptor down in a landing courtyard outside the temple. He had been dispatched to Jedha to liaise with a Jedi called Clovis, who was the new Guardian of Jedha, overseeing the work in the ancient temple. Beyond that he knew little of the person he was looking for, but it was a simple enough tasking: to establish the progress and trajectory of work, whether more Jedi were needed and report on any significant findings.

As he climbed down from the Interceptor, M1-R7 whistled from the side. "Come with, R7, the Interceptor's safe here and you never know what ancient technologies might be secreted here. Oh, and keep your eyes and ears open" Bee-pop? "You know what I mean."

As he crossed the courtyard into a cloisters, he was glad to step into the shade, where a cool breeze was a beautiful contrast to the harsh dry heat of the sun. He allowed himself to stretch his cramped limbs properly for the first time after his long journey in hyperspace.

When the droid caught up with him, he shook himself out and headed off towards the main body of the temple. He didn't know what the Guardian looked like, so he asked the first person he came across, a young initiate clutching a pile of papers and datapads to his chest who looked like they weren't sure whether to be frightened by the stranger addressing them out the blue or to be relieved to be given a task they could manage.

The initiate took him through a number of corridors into a central atrium, pointed towards a group of reading Jedi and scuttled off. Al-Ric couldn't tell precisely which of the reading figures was the Guardian and so, after standing awkwardly without being noticed by any of the readers for a moment or two, he said in a clear voice: "
Clovis?"

Clovis had noticed the man's appearance in the room, but at first ignored him, he assumed he was just another new recruit to the temple in awe of the majesty and endless supply of knowledge available to them. It was common place to find a young Padawan with his mouth wide open standing in the middle of one of the main rooms in the temple. When the man spoke his name he looked up, properly taking stock of the Jedi before him.

Clovis was dressed in a simple dark purple robe, trimmed with black. He was not one to follow the traditional brown, grey or beige robes, he preferred a little more color. It made him stand out slightly against the crowd of Jedi, closing the book only a few pages in, he gave the newcommer a warm smile.

"That would be me." Taking a few steps forward away from the group, he gave his fellow Jedi a light bow, the book gripped tightly in his hand behind him. "Jedi Knight Clovis Seifer, Guardian of Jedha." He motioned to the man for his own name.

'Al-Ric Fen," he returned the bow, "I believe you should be expecting me. Please consider myself at your disposal for the duration of my visit."
Al-Ric eyed up his host with a not a little suspicion: the dark but rich colours and Clovis' use of both titles in introductions jarred with Al-Ric. However this did not show on his ever serious face.
"I hope I haven't interrupted; what were you reading?"

Clovis had made a request to the General's for some additional Jedi to help him in both uncovering the temple's secrets and to clear the dangers of the surrounding land. "Yes, I did make a request for further Jedi." Looking down at the book in his hand, he showed the front cover of the volume to the Jedi. "An Old Tome, written long ago, it speaks of a number of Jedi outposts which we have long since forgotten, though I am only a part way through. Now I asked for two different type of Jedi which are you?"

"I was under the impression that I would be spending the time here in the temple, if that's an answer? I'm sorry I wasn't told about your other requests - though if more help is needed, I can relay the message."
Al-Ric made a mental note of the cover
"How long ago are we talking?"
