((OOC: Partially because I am bored and partially for want to refine my character's saber skills. Another Acolyte is best here - also a way to open up some in character relationships. Saber only, no force powers and no killing. If you want to bloody your opponant up, that's fine. This is a Sith sparring match.))

Baldoren entered the deserted training room, dragging his feet. He had a sense that someone would join him soon, and to appear slow and sluggish was something he had picked up back home on Taris. The human boy tightened the bindings around his right hand to be sure of a good grip.

Raz Doran enters the training room, his giant light saber in his hand. He stood over nine feet tall, massively huge, and strong. Baring his teeth at the new acolyte. “So, you’re here for a fight too eh? Very well.” He ignites his light saber, it extends to around six feet in length, the hilt a good three feet long as well, making the entire saber nearly as long as he was. “Prepare yourself little one.”

Stepping forward he brings the saber in front of him, straight up and down, a standard defensive posture, his eyes gauging his opponent. Then, with a blood curdling, deafening roar, he moves forward, slashing the massive saber down at this opponents head.

Baldoren was very surprised at how huge his partner was. He towered over the young lad, and his saber gave him a huge advantage in reach. He cleared his head. Seeing the strike come sailing down he dove to the left, igniting his own lightsaber. No way was he going to block this guy and live.

"Gotcha" he grinned wickedly.

He jumped forward, closing the gap but keeping his knees bent for a speedy escape. He swung at the giant's right thigh.

Raz was massive, and yet highly agile. Still, not as agile as the small human though. Backing up, he puts some distance between him and the crafty boy, letting the saber strike pass right in front of him. He roars again, it was loud enough that it might hurt the boy’s ears. Calm and deliberate, Raz moved, keeping his light saber between him and the boy. Both light sabers had been powered down so as to injure, but not maim their opponents. It would hurt like crazy, but they didn’t have to fear lasting scars, losing limbs, or death.

Watching his opponent he gives a quick jab towards the center of the boy’s mass, in the area of between the chest and belly button. He put very little weight behind this move, expecting the boy to be able to dodge it, as he gauged his opponent’s skill. It was a quickly recovered move.

Spinning his lightsaber in a defencive manner, Baldoren watched the giant prepare for another attack. The roar blasted around the room, slightly irritrating the boy, though Taris life was full of loud noises. When the jab came Baldoren figured the Yuzzem to be toying with him. Merely playing with his food. He stepped right before rolling forward, coming to his feet on the left flank of the beast this time. He unleashed a fast flurry of stikes. It was obvious the youth had been trying to perfect this series of attacks.

left right left down up right lunge spin left right down up lunge...

Raz may have looked like a stupid beast, but that was far from the truth. He was more intelligent than most humans. His jab was quickly recovered, and he grins as the boy rolls. Flicking a switch the blade length decreased to merely a meter. Moving with surprising speed, his blade rises up and blocks the first attack. Using his massive strength he pushes against the blade as it tries to rise for the next strike. This would most likely stagger the boy.

Next, he brings his left leg right next to the boy’s body, closing the distance with a single large step. His blade, doesn’t lose contact with that of his opponent, causing them to lock together for the time being. “Bad choice of moves.” For the moment however, he stays on the defensive.

Surprised by the Yuzzem, Baldoren felt a pang of fear, only to have it swiftly replaced by angry ambition. He. Would. Be. The. Winner. He MUST be the winner. Moving back a leg to prevent himself from staggering he keeps his saber locked with his gigantic opponant.

"You have quite a bit of strength there..." he grunted "...but I have a hunch your weakness is yours."

With that the boy angled his saber so that the pressure asserted by the Yuzzem would cause his own to slide, hopefully over balancing him. Should the over balance work Baldoren would side step up and onto the Yuzzem's left leg ,out of the saber's slide, using it as a spring board to quickly jump up and onto Raz' back. He would attempt to press his saber's blade against the back of the Yuzzem's neck.

Raz grinned. “Such a foolish boy. I am in full control of my strength!” With that, as his blade began to slide, he flipped another switch, this time, the blade began to phase out, the other’s light saber passes right though it. Since it was angled now, it would not hit him any longer. Then, as suddenly, he pushes the switch again, causing the blade to materialize, this time, within the boy’s defenses.

“I know my weakness, do you know yours?” Growling the massive Yuzzem attempted to slash the boy’s chest with his light saber. “Wish all you want, but when rage cannot be controlled, it leads to stupidity!” His light saber, once again grew, this time to one and a half meters as it slashed in a diagonal at the boy’s chest.

The young lad couldn't quite believe his eyes. Anger rose, flooding his every thought. The burning sensation as he the lightsaber scorched his flesh through the thin cloth of his tunic was insane, but only served to fuel his determination. He found that the swipe had set him back a few feet, lying on the ground. He pulled himself up, heaving with the skin of his chest so badly burnt.

"Your sneaky for such a big guy." he span his lightsaber in his hand, pointing it out at the Yuzzem "I have no weakness! I shall not hear such lies!"

The boy's eyes portrayed fire. It was clear that if he had any grasp of a simple power, it would be used to devastating effect. He charged the Yuzzem again, keeping low.

He laughs. “Pathetic. Your rage blinds you. Only the foolish, those who deserve to die, feel they have no weaknesses. Your rage should be YOURS to control, not the other way around. Focus your mind, and your hate at me. Only then can you hope to beat me!” The boy stayed low, his mind weakened by his pure, unrestrained hate. It would be a simple thing for Raz to use the force to just send the boy flying through the wall.

However, the boy would never learn that way. The boy was like a cub, young, full of energy, but lacking in self control and experience. Raz felt it was his job to show the boy the error of his ways. “I already killed you, but if you want to keep fighting so be it.”

Raz crouched low, his massive blade then moves with a fluid motion, slashing left, and right in a diagonal pattern as the boy charged, either the boy blocked, dodged, or would be hit.

The boy was distracted by Raz' words. Time seemed to slow for a moment, even as the blade of his opponent came at him he had a horrible feeling the Yuzzem was right. For the first time ever, Baldoren saw things like an adult. He took his hate, his passion, his anger and his lust for power and drove them all at the Yuzzem. Every bit of it focused onto the giant, stemming from the rough hilt of Baldoren's lightsaber. He manoeuvred his body out of the way of the saber, then pinning it with his own, lightly enough so that that phasing effect wouldn't work as well. He kept charging at the beast, his intent to launch every thing he had in a direct attack served on the end of his hate filled blade. To deal the same wound across the chest to him as he had received.

Raz grins, knowing he was beaten this time. But he couldn’t have been more proud. The child took control of the force and rather than acted like a puppet to it, he bent it to HIS will! Before his eyes, the boy finally grasped hold of the Dark Side. He couldn’t move fast enough to block the attack, the fur on his chest burned away, and a wound appeared across it. However, unlike the boy the Yuzzem didn’t flinch.

“Good…..good. Did you feel it? You took control, and bent it to YOUR will. You are its master, not the other way around. Your hate is an energy source, but unless you give it a purpose, it will be wasted!” He brings his massive saber back to ready, straight up and down in front of him. “It felt amazing didn’t it? Those who follow the “light side” are mere puppets to the Force. We who use the Dark Side, bend it to our will, and become its master! Again, show me that it wasn’t a fluke event boy, show me you are indeed the master of your anger and hate! Let it sweep me aside like a tiny insect!”

Raz kept his own anger underneath. This was for the boy, not himself. He understood the Dark Side and its power. His master had shown him much, while this boy had yet to have a master. “Now, do it! Give me all of your hate, your anger, your sorrow, bloodlust. Give me everything, and knock me to the side! Give in to your hate and control it!

The giant creature rushes at the boy now, his light saber in front of him, ready to sweep down and knock the boy aside should the boy not grasp his own power and use it.

Fun. Arcturus had noticed fighting in the area. This was common at the crusader's school, and normally he would have ignored it. But the two combatants were of vastly different sizes, and this had peaked his interest. And so now he perched upon an old pillar, sitting around the middle area on a bit that hung off the side, balancing a old flame lantern. His usual cloak wasn't with him today. Instead he tried something new. Solid dark ash-grey was sewn together around his shoulders and neck, which split into many overlapping grey, ribbon-like strips that hung midway down his shins, all the way up to middle of his upper arms. The strips had varying shades of grey that smoothly blended together, a combination that would make him very difficult to see in darkness, mist, or other obscuring conditions. Today, though, he was in plain sight, though he retained a certain ephemeral quality. He even had his hood up, combining with his eyewraps to conceal most of his face.

His saber staff lay idle on his lap in case they might object to his presence. He hoped they didn't. He was most interested in this yuzzem sith. Taller than he, taller and stronger looking than most wookies. A species known for greater pride and anger than the wookies, as well. It almost seemed like the sith equivalent. He would take one over one of those silly wooks any day.

And that may have been why he was here. Just a little. If this yuzzem was a good fighter, well, he might just invite him to go with him. He could always use a powerful duelist to watch over him when he had a network up. Droids only worked so well.

Speaking of droids, Dex was near him as usual. He waited near a doorway that lead into this room. Arcturus was a very cautious person, and though droids had their limits, they certainly were very, very patient.

"Yes. Yes. I felt it. I felt the power." The boy gripped his lightsaber, his knuckes turning white under the leather bindings around his hands. Time still felt sluggish compared to his current high, and his rage and anger, now forcefully bent to his will, still had left him with plenty to give. He felt better than he ever had, the power was intoxicating. And it was his. Finally, he knew how to grasp hold of his emotions, and point them at a target. The trick, he assumed, would be to maintain it.

The boy span his saber, settling into another Ataru stance. Basic and perhaps a little unpractised this was one of the few stances used to ward off a direct attack, rather than meeting it with one of his own. He channeled all of his emotions into his blade again, the red of the saber visibly pulsing to him. When Raz charged the boy stood his ground, saber ready to meet saber. Every bit of emotion he had was put into his defence. He built up a solid wall of hate, anger and power lust, in his mind fasioning the outer defences into gory spikes and barbs. He attempted to block the swipe, and should he succeed he planned to lock his saber with Raz's and wait for the phasing effect.

Raz chuckles. He rushes at the boy like a freight train, he brings his massive blade crashing down upon the boy’s saber. He didn’t use his phasing effect this time. Instead, he used his brute strength to apply pressure to the saber lock. “Keep hold of it, do not lose it, or else you will perish!” Raz lived for the hunt. But now was time for training. If the boy couldn’t learn to channel the dark side, he would be destroyed here without a chance to prove his strength. And that didn’t sit well with the Yuzzem.

Strength was everything. Never once had he killed a cub. There was no honor, no glory, and no pleasure from killing the young. They hadn’t learned to defend themselves yet! And what was the point in a fight where your prey didn’t have at least a chance to kill you? There was none to him. This boy learned quickly, and this would help keep him alive until he gained true strength. Perhaps then the hunt could begin, perhaps not.

Using his muscles he would try to push the blade towards the ground, using only a single hand. His other arm would reach out, towards the boy’s body, his claws showing and ready to grab him and toss him across the room if he could.

Struggling to not be thrown by the sheer force behind Raz' attack, Baldoren gripped hold of his emotion all the more, directing everything he had into locking his saber with the giant's. Baldoren faught to stay on his feet, and not sink to his knees under the pressure. He saw the other arm coming in, claws outstretched to shred his gutt. He pressed the release trigger on the butt of his hilt, releasing a small jagged blade from the handle of his saber. He moved his hand in a way that his elbow would keep his saber steady and grabbed the dagger as it shot out. Now if that hand got any closer it would become the food of the knife.

Through gritted teeth and strained effort, the boy looked the Yuzzem in the eye and said: "You're not the only one with tricks."

Raz’s claws were sharper than any dagger, but he grins and withdraws his hand. “Good, always keep your mind open, to evolve with the situation. Let me demonstrate.” Flicking a switch on his saber, it shrunk, from six feet in length, to only three feet. This would most likely take the boy by surprise as he would suddenly be able to move his blade up, and with the amount of strength it would take to even hold his own, it might cause his blade to sharply spring up.

If that was the cause, Raz would quickly move in close to the boy, his saber slashing for the hand with the dagger in it. Otherwise, Raz would take a step back and extend his blade to five feet in length. “I created my blade with many special features, as it allows my fighting style to evolve with the fight. I am to large to use most forms of saber fighting to any real effect. So I have to create my own as I go along!”

The boy felt a flutter of pride from the compliment given by the older Yuzzem. HE quickly grabbed hold of it and fed it into his power. Something he would be sure to do from now on was to use every scrap of emotion he had to further his power.

Time still seemed slower than normal, not by much. The wound on his chest stung like the rivers of Raxus Prime, but pain led to anger and anger was a tool he could use. When Raz' blade shortned Baldoren was ready for it, having seen the blade change lengths before. He would not fall prey to it again. As the giant stepped back so did Baldoren, multiple times, gaining a distance of nine feet, remembering that was the longest legnth, roughly, that he had seen the saber at. He replaced the dagger into the hilt.

"I've seen that trick before."

Grinning, Raz nods. “Yes you have. Learn to not only listen to words, but feel what is happening. My words can say one thing, but it’s the actions that truly count!” Watching, he nods. “It’s time. You have shown you can use the force to help fight, now let’s see how well you do when I do the same thing.”

Raz growls as the force begins to swirl around him. It created a slight breeze for a moment as he drew it into himself, allowing his anger, hate, bloodlust, and rage fill his body. The boy would be able to feel the difference, it would feel like Raz just got much taller, stronger, and faster. “I will not use my powers, except those that only affect my own mind.

He rushes at the boy again, and concentrates. Time slows dramatically. Raz feels the world around him, and what the boy will do. He jumps at the boy, his blade slashing downward with all his strength. It was time to see if the boy could survive and all out attack now.

Baldoren watched as the beast grew stronger, taller. He didn't think it were possible but it was happening. He saw it and was jealous. Jealous of the power that the Yuzzem possesed. His powerlust grew, and he took it by the throat, forcing it to his will. Anger burned in the young lad's mind as time slowed, giving him a clear view of the gathering power of the giant.

This man may be causing a breeze, but I can go one better.

He could feel the pent up rage within him surfacing. The air got noticibly warmer around him, charged by his hate.

He jumped as theYuzzem closed at an angle that would send him underneath the Yuzzem's trajectory. His intent was to land before the Yuzzem did and attack from behind.
