SPACE STATION ARCHIMEDES. ORBITING VANDYNE
0100 Hours

Members of Death Watch will enter into the lower entrance of the space station to catch the pirates off guard. There, they find several traps have been set up. Cross through the dangerous hallways and make your way to the main floor before our second squadron shows up.

In orbit above the system of Vandyne, an Old Empire spacestation has gone dark. There were no distress signals, so it has likely lost power. This station could prove useful in gathering data for the Mandalorian faction against the Sith forces. Members of Death Watch, under the assisted command of Corrine Solus, are on their way to investigate the downed station and secure it for the glory of Mandalore.

Corrine was bubbling with excitement. She didn't know how their commander -Dax- had found out about this station as quick as he did. She figured he must have some secrets buried in his little closet of his. But whatever the reason, Dax was personally allowing Corrine to take charge of this endeavor. Perhaps he was seeing if she were up to the task. Of course, he was right there alongside her to make sure that she didn't screw anything up. She didn't mind. Corrine new that she could succeed in any circumstance.

It was just the three of them on this mission. They were the Alpha team. It was their job to sneak aboard the space station's lower dock and investigate why it had been shut down. Best guess: they'd simply lost power. The place would be deserted and the spoils theirs to take. But things never worked out that perfectly. It was much more likely the orbiting spire had become under attack. There hadn't been any distress signals, so it might have been an inside job. Even in the best of circumstances if the hosts on board knew something was going wrong they would have radio'd for help.

This is why they were going in weapons hot. Like all Mandalorians, Corrine Solus was wearing a thick iron skin known as Beskar'gam. The woman had two sets to call her own, but had recently put away her father's gear for her new set: that of the Death Watch squad. As such, she'd taken several pieces of her advanced tech and placed them on their armor. Her left wrist was equipped with a flamethrower; her right wrist a missile launcher. Both had limited uses, but she was itching to use them in a fight. Her boots were also upgraded to allow a jump feature which helped with aerial maneuvers.

As far as weapons went, Corrine's choices were pretty basic. She loved her two "strill" blaster pistols the most and would likely never trade them in. On her back she carried a Westar C-1 blaster carbine and was likely the best sniper Death Watch had to offer. That was of course, her opinion and not at all ever based on actual proof. While she never took to fighting with hand to hand combat, she'd recently started carrying a vibroblade dagger just in case someone got past her guns. Not likely. And even if they got past her Westar, that's why she also brought along a new addition of a SGB-1 scatter blaster that was sure to shred anyone who got close.

The three of them were currently getting armed and checking their weapons aboard The Red Blade, Corrine's Kal-class fighter transport. It was her pride and joy and she treated it like it was her own child. Though a MIA-01 droid was currently looking after the controls, Corrine preferred to do most of the flying. A fact that scared her husband to death. Corrine was a reckless flyer and took a lot of risks for the thrill and adrenaline rush. As no one in Death Watch had yet to see her fly...they were unaware of this. Luckily for them, this mission required a certain amount of stealth which meant she couldn't do anything showoff-ish.

"How are we looking, Missy?" Corrine asked as she made her way into the cabin and sat at the pilot's seat.

The droid would turn its head to her and speak in Basic. It was rough and slow dialogue, as a vocal processor had been salvaged and placed into the droid by a Twi'lek friend of hers. "We. Are. Exiting. Speed. Shortly."

The reason for such a digital hack was because Corrine never bothered to learn Binary and thus hated the fact her little astromech couldn't speak with her. And while she was flying in combat, she didn't have time to read the prompts that the ship's dash translated for her. So she'd asked her slicer friend to see what she could do. This was the best result.

"I'm taking us out of Light Speed then. Hand the controls over to me."

With that, the ship gently lurched backwards as it slowed down and the blue tunnel of light outside the window was replaced with the approaching space station. Corrine always loved how things zoomed right up to them and then stopped suddenly. It made her heart jump every time because she never knew how close they would actually come out of the jump. She loved the rush. Biting her lip she began to steer them toward the lower half of the spire while shutting off any non-essential systems within the ship. That meant the lights. Hopefully by now the two in the back had found their helmets else they'd be hard pressed to navigate in the dark.

During the flight Radth had been sitting on the bench preparing for the mission. Starting with making sure his armor was on correctly and that his weapons are in working order. Excitement was flowing through his veins which usually got the better of him. Same with his aggression. But not today. Not after almost getting his A'lor killed when he commenced an attack prematurely without thinking of an attack plan or waiting for a signal from Burkhart to attack. That was what made the Kelborn realize where he was making his mistakes and needed to fix them.

The last thing he wanted was to be an embarrassment to his A'lor as well as to his brothers and sisters. The Warrior silently readied his weapons, focusing on keeping his emotions in check. For once he is trying to be a proper Kelborn.

Slamming a clip into place in his rifle, Radth felt the ship drop out of hyperspace. They must have arrived to their destination. Laying his favorite rifle on his lap, Radth picked up his helmet that was sitting on the bench to his left. Putting it on just as the lights went out. Now what was Corrine trying to do? The warrior wondered then got the answer after a minute or two of thinking. Genius. He would not have thought of this if he was the one flying the ship.

Dax had been distracted the entire flight over. The war with the Sith was taking a great deal of time and effort. Even more so now that he was expected to lead. With that weight on his mind he was more the happy to allow Cory to take point on this mission to secure this old space station.

The Watch Captain checked his gear one last time as the ship dropped from hyperspace. His armor and weapons, even his jetpack. Doing so with his eyes closed. The practice used his muscle memory to move his hands over his pouches as he thought of an item, focusing and thus calming his mind.

The ship would continue onward with Corrine's steady hands at the wheel. She slowly approached the underside of the space station and would rotate their position to come at it from the underside where a small airlock was waiting to be breached. It would likely set off an alarm inside, but Corrine was confident the Death Watch crew could handle the threat. Breaking her speed as much as possible, The Red Blade gently floated into position and Corrine attached the docking gear. A metal clutching sound was heard and felt within their own ship and then the movement of the engines cut off. Corrine waited a moment to make sure they were indeed hooked to the bay of The Archimedes and then shut off the remainder of the power; leaving only the essential life systems online for when they returned.

Standing up, Corrine placed her helmet over head head locking it into place with a familiar hiss. The H.U.D. systems came online and the darkness of the ship changed to a dull green of her night vision. She moved forward from the cabin and to the back of the ship with the others and grabbed her guns. The boys knew what to do: cut open the escape hatch from the space station and then breach the opening. Depending on security, it would only need to be a well placed weld with the right tools. The pirates doubtfully thought to seal every airlock shut. That was...assuming the place had actually been commandeered. That was still up for grabs.

While they worked on getting in, Corrine would check her weapons now. She'd checked them before leaving, every day during travel, and twice now this morning. It was a terrible tick she picked up from her husband Arturo who checked his gear like a bad itch. But she wouldn't stop herself as she'd picked up the habit now too. So she'd make sure every gun was locked and loaded and there was plenty of extra ammo to go around. She didn't need her blasters running out of juice mid battle. That would just be foolish.

Heading over to the bottom most part of the ship where the airlock met the escape hatch on the space station, Corrine coughed to announce her presence to the men. "Pehea cuyir bic looking? << How is it looking? >> Cuyir vi o'r yet? << Are we in yet? >>" There wasn't much she could do to help if they couldn't get it besides try her best. But she was willing to give it a try if neither of the boys could figure it out.

When the ship locked into place, announced by the sound that rippled through the ship. Radth quickly got into place to begin working on getting the airlock open. Time is not their friend right now. The longer it takes to get it open, the pirates will be in their places to push the Mandalorians back.

The bloke didn't glance at the woman as Corrine announced her presence to the two men. The Warrior stated simply, "I should have it open in a second." He told Corrine just as the airlock popped open, "Alright we are in folks." Radth told the other two. The man wasted no time as he climbed through the opened airlock. It was a bit of a tight fit but Radth managed to get through the airlock with very little trouble.

At the other side, he will find the surrounding empty. Still, as the other two came through the airlock the warrior remained on high alert. Rifle raised and ready to fire away if any opposition does show themselves. Hearing footsteps coming from up ahead, the bloke stepped towards the corner/shouldering his rifle as he moved. The footsteps were coming from the other side of. As a Rodian came around the corner, Radth grabbed the being and quickly snapped his neck before the Rodian could raise the alarm if they weren't already sounded by now. Taking out the Rodian also prevented him from giving out the location of the Mandalorians. He quietly laid the body on the floor, hiding the corpse out of view of anyone who may come walking up the corridor leading to the airlock.

Holding his rifle in his hands again, Radth looked back to the airlock to see if the other two have gotten through yet. He wondered if he should just get moving already to gain some ground or not.
