The Overhead freighter dropped out of hyperspace and onto approach to the old space stations in orbit over Vandyne. Inside the pirate freighter stood twelve of clan Rau's best warriors. The Supercommando Dax Rau, and Cory Solus.

Their previous attempt to take this pirate base stalled out into a stalemate. Forcing the Mandalorians to retreat and regroup. Now, after a rest bit Dax's and his forces return. The spoofer would allow them to slip into the bay like they were any other ship. Once inside the real work would begin.

Dax would in his Iron skin as normal, including the trademark T visor. The commando sported an array of equipment. Including his Westar carbine, two Quickdraw pistols, and several grenades. There could be no mistakes this time, so the pilot would remain in side the ship. The remaining men, A-7, and Cory would push on into the station and set a staging point for the rest of the efforts into the old imperial station.

"Ready yourselves, we will dock in two minutes. Cory, lets get some payback."

Space Station Archimedes. Here she was again. After a failed stalemate, the redhead Mandalorian was in no hurry to rush back to Vandyne to secure the orbiting base. By now, they'd upped their defenses and be on the lookout for Mandalorians looking to claim more territory. When she'd come the first time, she was with Death Watch, a section of the Mandalorian faction meant on taking a stronger stance to the war. Sadly, the group didn't get as much support as they'd intended and most went their separate ways. How Corrine was still working with them was...questionable.

Like last time, she was geared for war with her thick iron skin known as Beskar'gam. The armor was that of her fathers, and not the blue and grey colors of the Death Watch. While she enjoyed having a new set made just for her, there was something far more symbolic and meaningful to her with wearing her father's. She always felt closer to him when she wore it. Plus, she recently felt that being with the Death Watch was not something he would have been proud of. This time, she'd bring this base down right, and would make sure she could uphold that promise of honor she'd made to her late parent.

After reassembling her advanced tech back to her original set of armor, she was ever the dangerous Mandalorian daughter she used to be. Her left wrist was equipped with a flamethrower; her right wrist a missile launcher. Both had limited uses, but she was itching to use them in a fight. Her boots were also upgraded to allow a jump feature which helped with aerial maneuvers. As far as weapons went, Corrine's choices were pretty basic. She loved her two "strill" blaster pistols the most and would likely never trade them in. On her back she carried a Westar C-1 blaster carbine for Corrine's specialty had always been sniping. But just in case a melee course of action was needed, Corrine would now start carrying a vibroblade dagger for such an occurrence. She'd also brought along a SGB-1 scatter blaster that was sure to shred anyone who got close...just in case they got past her Westar.

Another change to their redemption mission was that Corrine was not going in alone. The first time she'd shown up with a small stealth group of three Death Watch members. This time, she was accompanied by a dozen Mandalorian warriors from the Rau clan. She herself was part of the Solus clan, as per her very public marriage to Arturo Solus. The men tagging along today had been brought by Dax Rau, previous leader of the Death Watch (technically he was still in charge but with there not exactly being a group...he wasn't in charge of much). Dax was just as determined to complete this mission this time around as the redhead was. He hated calling the retreat order.

With a change in strategy, they were now planning on strolling right up and into the base with the help of a spoofing device. Corrine was no expect in slicing, and this sort of shady risk was not at all in her comfort zone. She wanted to trust Dax that this would work, but was fully expecting their ship to get blown to pieces in the dark void. Good thing her boots had blasters on them. Assuming she survived the explosion. Beskar'gam would protect her...wouldn't it?

As their commander readied the troops, he'd call Corrine over and try to boost her spirits too. Yes payback was nice, but so was not getting shot out of the air. Pulling him aside she'd whisper to him, "Reassure me this is going to work. I really don't like getting shot at. Despite evidence to the contrary."

With a gulp, she'd then slide her helmet on and a hiss would lock it into place. The H.U.D. systems would boot up giving Corrine specs of the area in front of her vision where she did a quick check of her weapons and then brought out her Westar for the initial fight. Once they docked, she'd be in her element and in the zone. But first, they had to even get in the hangar.

The ship trembled and shifted. They were entering the orbit of the station. Dax help his breath a moment and cock his head as if listening for something, the alarm that they were being targeted. But the sounds never came. The plan was working, so far. When she pulled him aside he could sense something was wrong.

"Don't worry. You feel that. They're letting us in. Hard part is done." He said, trying to reassure her that things were under control. But it was unclear if he was successful. For his own part he did not share her fears. He was a warrior, a soldier. So long as he died in battle there was no greater death.

The ship slowly entered the bay and landed. It was time for Dax's first surprise. "Pilot, open up with sweeper." He ordered. The ship would lurch as he gun lowered from below the cockpit. Poo j

"Oya!" Dax yelled as the ramp started to lowered. He was side by side with one of his marauders from the clan, what was her name? Mia or somethin? I didn't matter at the moment. The ground sweeter pouring on the plasma fire, allowing the mandalorians to disembarked.

The redhead would nod and give him a smile behind her helmet. He wouldn't see it, but maybe he could feel it. They were getting...closer to one another lately. She still wasn't sure how she felt about that, all things considered. Her life had just been so up and down these recent years with the war it would have been enough for anyone to go a little crazy. She didn't like doubting her choices in life, but regret had a way of digging under one's skin and making them constantly itch at it.

The Mandalorians were in position as outside the ship pulled into the cargo bay. Dax would then shout to the pilot up front to let out a little surprise tech he'd been keeping in store for such an occasion. His sweeper turret would lower from the front of the ship and begin tearing into the hangar ahead of them. The Mandalorian's all shouted their war cries as the ramp opened and they tore out from the ship.

Corrine -likewise- would raise her fist as she ran and shout along with them, "Oya!"

Moving out of the shuttle they formed ranks around one another and began pushing into the base once more. It felt good to be back. The battle still fresh on her mind from last time. She knew the layout, she knew the lookouts. She had gone over it again and again in her head. They would win this time.

Turning her head after she brought down a random and confused pirate, Corrine would see Dax side by side with one of his newest troops. Normally it wouldn't bother her, but something about this girl made Corrine look twice. Although the girl was wearing what appeared to be a blue Death Watch outfit, it looked incredibly familiar. And then she realized it. This girl was wearing her armor. Well, the one she'd given back to Dax after she left the Mandalorian kill squad. Corrine was sure of it. The armor had recently been given a fresh coat of paint, and the Death Watch symbol was gone, now replaced by the symbol of the Rau clan; even the Solus emblem was painted over. But Corrine could tell by the subtle scratches of the armor plate where she'd barely been hit by blaster fire.

Why was it bothering her though? Who cared if someone else was using the set. It's not like she owned it anymore. She gave it up. And, she was more than happy to put on her father's set again. So why did this sudden jealous come over her. Biting her lip she'd suppress a groan and turn her attention back to the battle. The pirates were starting to form their own defensive ranks, hiding out behind storage containers as well as peering out from the main doors. Corrine moved to find a different perch and raised her Westar with a new found anger. She pushed the angry thoughts out of her mind and instead focused on that little circle in her scope. Point, click, shoot. Repeat.

Pirate after pirate she lined up her shot, waiting for them to move into her line of sight and then tagged them with her blaster bolt. She was patient, but also really good at what she was doing. Each new target was just waiting for a chance to fire back at them and when they dared to move just enough from behind cover they'd be met with a perfectly aimed blast into their chest, shoulder, or even head. She was angry enough.

The deck sweeper would clear off a few unsuspecting pirates that could not duck fast enough. Under the cover fire, the commando and his fire team pushing into the bay. Cory has moved ahead as well but Dax had lost site of her for the moment due to the heavy fire. But he had his rookie marauder and she was surprisingly effective.

The scum slag pirates tried to dive behind a few containers, Dax and another Rau memeber fired into them with wrist rockets. Blasting the cover apart, sending two pirates rolling backwards. Dead.

The way clear, Dax took point. Pushing into the hallway leading further into the space station. The pirates had thought ahead however and closed off a set of blast doors. Thicker then the Mandalorians could blow up with the weapons they brought.

"Cory, we're stuck. Karking pirates have control of the security systems and closed the doors on us. We need explosives."

Dax pointed to two of his team, "you two run back and support her. Rook, you're with me. We hold this line until we get the explosives."

With the hangar secured, the members of Dax's assault team would start to flood out of the room and chase after the pirates into the halls. Corrine would drop her power clip and load another one into the Westar before moving after them slowly. She wasn't about to run and catch up; why waste the energy? They didn't get very far as by the time she turned the corner the rest of her team had stopped at a blast door, and they were on the wrong side of it.

Pushing her way past the men up to the front, Corrine wanted to see what the plan was. Dax noticed her, and ushered her back to get explosives. For a second, she didn't think he'd meant for her to go get them. Oh well. Turning on her ankle she'd about face and head back with two of the others. She heard over her shoulder the same new girl in her old outfit oblige to Dax asking her to stay with him. Corrine wasn't going to lie, she was feeling a little bit jealous that Dax was sending her to do the dirty work and keeping the new girl for himself. Was this punishment for her failure here last time? Sure felt that way to her.

Back in the hangar, she made her way into the ship and would set her gun down for a moment to help the men open the crates and pull out the explosives. The men took the majority of them in their hands, while she picked up what was left. Following after she scooped her rifle back up and headed once more back the way she came. The men beat her to the door once more -not that she was in any hurry- so she merely set the stack down as they worked on setting some of the charges. As soon as she did, she backed up to a safe distance. Trying to calm her nerves, she held her gun with both hands while she waited for the incoming boom.

"Charges are set," the Mando would say when it was ready. "Setting timer, now."

The two quickly backed up as the ten second timer counted down. Corrine backed up even further now with the rest of the men and squatted down to one knee behind the hangar door. She counted it in her head.

BOOM!

The doors blew open and smoked filled the hole. For a second it was calm but then blaster fire began to shoot through the smoke. Luckily, neither Corrine nor the new girl moved to breach yet. They both expected some sort of retaliation. Good thing.
