The hologram burst into life and Darth Evandrus, the High Judge, stared at his assembled allies as they began their mission. He flashed them a quick smile before it was down to business - his face almost uncharacteristically serious as he stood before them in his casual clothes,

"Bandits are a problem for us right now - they're attacking the builders working on the construction of our new Sith Temple."

He frowned,

"Defend the work site from attackers. I do not want prisoners. I want you to make sure that every single person to attack out work site ends up a corpse at our gates. Make it happen, people."

The hologram shut itself off.

"Understood."

There wasn't really much to it, was there. Kill the bad guys, protect the castle, and don't die in the process. She had played this game many times before, this time it just happened to be playing out in real life. Just meant that these bandits were about to have a really bad day, and she was about to have a really good one.

She did a last check to make sure all her gear was in working order before pulling out the new bag of tricks she had acquired for this mission, a literal bag full of ball bearings she had borrowed from one of the workers. A coy smile, a few sweet words, and she could have asked him for much more and he would have complied. But the ball bearing were all she had wanted, having already acquired a blaster rifle and a couple of cartridges specially for this mission.

She was much more used to sneaking around and taking people out from the shadows, and most of her gear was suited for missions like that. So this was a little outside her area of expertise, and the rifle was something she had picked up to make up for that.

Turning away from the holo message, as she made sure the rifle was charged, she turned to her companions. "Everyone ready?"

"It will be done, lord Evandrus" Kano responded before the hologram was shut off, the mission didn't seem very complicated at all, just defending their workers from some bandits that dared to attack them. It was, however, his first task as a warden of the order created by Darth Evandrus, it was now his duty to defend the empire, its citiziens and his laws, and that he would do, there would be no mercy for those that opposed the might of the Sith Empire.

The Kaleesh abomination was wearing his usual combat armor under his black cloak, his four lightsabers ready on each of his arms and his mask protecting and hiding his monstruous face like usual, this was one of the few times were Kano could take advantage of his looks, of his transformation, for it is much easier to strike down an enemy who is frightened of you. Of course, looks wasn't everything, that's why Kano would make sure to kill every single one of those bandits in a brutal, painful way, making them examples of what happened when you attacked the empire's people.

Kano looked at his partners for this mission, while he didn't know them, they seemed more than capable enough for the mission "As ready as someone can get" He said in response "It doesn't matter how many of them come as long as we are ready for them, just make sure they don't flank us and take cover if necessary, I will try to draw as much attention as possible to allow you to have a clear shot on them" The Kaleesh abomination explained before moving forward "If everything's clear, to your combat positions" Kano added, moving towards were the enemy was supposed to strike, the Kaleesh abomination took partial cover behind a boulder which covered him below the abdomen, giving him enough cover to make blocking with his lightsabers a lot easier

The sorceress was twirling a glass of dark red fluid in her dominant hand, lazily slouched on a chair as she glanced at the hologram, listening intently to the orders that were distributed by the High Judge. With a silent nod of her head, she notified obedience and signified that she would be here to assist and execute the will of the High Judge my any means necessary. Beautifully mascara laced eyes slowly shifted upwards to examine the Kaleesh abomination as well as the other Sith. She had heard of Kano before, though had never been formally introduced and thus deprived of the privilege of his company. He seemed interesting as for the other woman, it was too early to tell; she herself had a difficult track record with other women with exception of her twin Alexis and the blind noghri Jenova. Alexandra was just too far too much of a bitch to get along well other other ladies.

The fingertip danced along the rim of the glass, licking the fluid into her mouth. It appeared as a brighter wine but its stench and coagulated nature likely indicated that she was drinking blood. Her lithe figure stood to its full height as she put her beverage to the ground, delicate hands going up to lower hood that had so far veiled her lovely face in shadows. "As you wish Master Taes.." she said simply, her cloaked figure moving to a position several meters to the right of Kano. She was only armed with a single, crimson lightsaber and armor was nothing more than a collection of high quality robes and cloaks, all matching the dark affinity the sorceress preferred.

Her body came to partially shield behind a large boulder, eyes keeping glance at a sizable distance ahead of them to alert her allies of incoming threats. Dark energies cackled across her left hand, imbuing and washing over her with a surreal, unholy essence of the force itself. Venous lines streaked across her face as dark side corruption took effect, eyes turning yellow as her beauty was replaced with a touch of gruesome brutality.

Well Julie would be damned if this was not exciting but it was just as depressing. The Sith had come to Ossus, uprooted their way of life and ousted the Jedi. She had been friends with the Jedi before and now they were gone. Not everybody who did not like the new governing authority could afford to leave. Part of this was a message to the Sith Empire to piss off their territory, part of it was to actually gain some power. Profit, influence, it all came down to power in the end. Maybe somewhere deep down she disliked the Jedi for succumbing to the Empire's forces.

Sliding a weapon cartridge home she looked over her thunderbuss pulse wave rifle. She stood up from the weapon's crate in the passenger section of the nerf-herder alongside her fellow bandits. They all afixed their vibro-bayonets knowing full well that there were bound to be some saber jockies that would want to get up close and personal. There were two transports, each with ten corsairs. Julie smiled underneath her helmet as she looked at her comrades in their bulwark armor. They looked like a bunch of awesome sarlacc slayers in. More specifically each nerf herder had a single gunner with a zipacna light repeater. As side arms all brigands were equiped with stinger stun blasters both to help them in the event a lightsaber came into play or they needed to subdue some civilians by force. They each had a fragmentation grenade as well as a huehue adhesive grenade. If it came to close quarters they would try to use their vibro machetes but even Julie had to admit, that was a last resort.

◭◮◭◮◭◮◭◮

They came in low and fast, evading any aerial detection by flying dangerously close to the roof tops of nearby buildings. They already looked like a civilian transport. The ship slowed down in a gust of dust on two separate roof tops, one hundred meters apart from one another. The ramp was already descending when a team of two leaped over the lip and moved to look over the edge of the building's concrete siding that was about waist height on the roof. One in each team carried a satyr blaster carbine while the other carried a AM-39 designated marksman rifle. This sniper team would use have ascension guns to quickly scale and rappel from the building walls.

The two ships moved away from the buildings and began heading across the open ground where the workers were building. A third nerf herder, that was without any passengers came in with the intention of being stocked full of the labor that the bandits were about to take. The two light freighters that had troops faced the castle, their shipboard weapons moving, ready to fire on any opposition that came into view. While they were modified for charter transport they still had the firepower to blast infantry to kingdom come as the remaining eight passengers in each exited the ships quickly. There were industrial vehicles, tractors, excavators, stone cutters and trailers. dozens and dozens of laborers were hard at work. Only a handful of individuals stuck out looking far more malicious and evil than the others. "They've got some protection after all." With that being said a few sounds of charging blaster weapons escaped out into the Ossus air.

The Kaleesh abonination let out a devilish smile after seeing the ships come near them, the Kaleesh wouldnt let the enemy have time to prepare themselves, Kano threw his lightsaber forward, using the force to guide it, the lightsaber would be aimed towards one of the freighter's cockpit, since freighters werent known for being too mobile and the bandits were pretty much towards them, so the lightsaber was most likely going to fullfill what Kano wanted to do, chop the pilot in half and give the passengers a rough landing. Kano would pull that lightsaber back, just giving it enough momentum to return to him without needing to be guided by the force.

The Kaleesh abomination looked at his two companions, ready to give them their new orders "Be careful with the ship's weapons, we won't be able to defend ourself fron those with our lightsabers" Kano said, whispering to them to make sure the enemy didnt get that "Fortunately, the enemy seems to think that the farther they are from us, the better, nlt realizing that blaster bolts dont travel that fast, usa that at our advantage, it will be much easier to reflect their shots from this distance, and much easier to dodge the ship's firepower" The Kaleesh abomination states, his four blades ready to block and reflect the incoming blaster fire "Lets remind them that quality surpasses quantity"

Jade felt the Force stir within Kano and watched, with some degree of envy, as the Sith Master sent a lightsaber flying towards the ships. The audacity, and the confidence, to take out an entire ship with a single blade and a Force, she wanted that. She needed that. She had to grow to strength like that quickly if she wanted to fulfill her ambitions.

Aware that she lacked the power to do what Kano had just done, Jed instead raised her rifle and opened herself up to the Force and began imposing her will on it. Slowly it began gathering within her, a little storm all of her own waiting to be unleashed on the bandits. But they were still far away, and so the storm brewed, while Jade waiting on alert, ready to react at the first sign of danger.

A wide smile crept over the sorceress' features as she witnessed the Sith Master attempt to take out an entire ship with just a single hurl of his saber. She too was slightly awed, wishing that perhaps if she were stronger today, she would have been able to start things off with a flashy and mesmerizing attack. Instead however, she erred on the side of caution as the silhouette of darkness grew from within her depths and wrapped around her defensively. Her small figure stood behind several large monumental structures on the outside of the temple grounds, only about 5 meters away from her allies. The structures would provide decent cover and protection while also enabling the young Sith to maneuver into an aggressive stance if she so desired. Senses on full alert as the right hand went for the hilt at her waistline, a crimson plasma blade igniting into her grasp while the left hand remained free to channel the force in anticipation for any incoming attacks.

The distance between the sith and the craft had been significant. If blaster bolts were slow, a thrown projectile like a lightsaber was even slower. Still, it would kill the pilot, lancing through the cockpit viewport and impaling her into her seat before returning to the warrior that had cast it. The ship fell the last meter with a heavy thud, shaking the surrounding ground as its multi-ton frame dug into the dirt somewhat. This did not stop its troop composition to slow in their exiting and formation outside of the craft.

The other nerf herder fired its laser cannon at Kano in response. (@Versok ) One group of four fired their pulse wave rifles at Kano as well as they came out from behind the ship. Roughly two shots from each trooper made it a total of eight rounds from the small arms.

The two groups of four in the center, each had a zipacna light repeater and layed down suppressing fire at Alexandra ( @Faded Truth ) and Jade ( @Wit ). The other six troops in the center moved to get ahold of some of the labourers, firing their stun blaster sidearms at them to be picked up later so they would not run.

The group of four on the far left did the same and began herding the workers at gun point, barking orders and threatening them.

In the distance, on the roof tops there were the two sniper teams. One watched Jade's position since she was further than optimal range for the pulse wave weapons. The other kept an eye on Alexandra, holding their fire as the closer groups engaged them.

Kano let out a smile after seeing the pilot get impaled by his lightsaber, thurefore having to deal with less ship cannons. However, the Kaleesh didn't expect the bandits to directly try and attack the workers, which angered him, such cowardly tactics had no place on its battlefield.

Kano saw the laser cannon from the ship point at him and shoot, Kano stepped on the boulder he was going to initially use as cover, using it as a support to jump, Kano would go pretty high, high enough for the bolt to go under him while he was airborne, hitting the boulder or becoming a stray shot. Kano would land on his feet, shortening the distance between him and the enemies a couple meters without a problem, for the ship took the shot as soon as possible, not giving the bandits enough time to position themselves and shoot at the Kaleesh while he was dealing with it.

After that, the bandits shot at him, but only four of them, which was no problem for an experienced sith like himself, the Kaleesh abomination would use his four lightsabers to easily deflect those shots, bolts coming back to them, he would aim at the first soldier, deflecting the shots towards his chest, the man was well protected, but that armor was the heavy kind of armor, making it harder for him to dodge out of the way, which was vital when trying to have a blaster fight without using cover like the bandits did. The first volley would come back at the soldier he first focused on, probably ending his life. Kano would repeat the process with the next volley, trying to take down a second soldier, the one that was standing next to the first one. All of this happening without Kano stopping going forward, shortening the distance between him and the soldiers, the distance between them now being about 15 meters.

There were still two soldiers that he needed to take care of, however, Kano would throw his lightsaber at them again, the weapon flying towards them, it would not go straight, for that would be too easy, the weapon would do a curve, sweeping and going through the soldier on the left and then the soldier on the right before coming back to its master, if everything went right the Kaleesh would have ended the group that was focusing on him and be closer to the next bandits he would soon slay.

However, Kano was no fool, he did't leave himself fully unprotected, he didn't run in the open like an idiot, the Kaleesh abomination always advanced and moved near boulders, rubble and whatever he could use as a cover in case he needed to use it, while also staying out of the ship's way, making it impossible for the freighters to try and stop the Kaleesh.

Kano hoped the others could do well enough to, because he saw those bandits stunning and threatening the workers, the Kaleesh would figure how to catch their attention later.

Alexandra knelt down besides the series of rocky walls that shielded her from incoming fire. Shards of debris flying off as the heavy repeater and other single units continually lay waste to her cover. Her beautiful features were replaced with a carnal promise, dark side corruption seeping into her skin and behind the eyes that tainted yellow instead of hazel. She remained in a crouched position, eyesight able to grasp the presence of the single unit with repeater surrounded in the halo of other combatants. A wicked grin on her face, she reached out with the force, tendrils wrapping around the base of the heavy repeater firearm and attempted to swing it harshly to the soldier's left. If successful, this would buy her time to change positions at the same time likely lead to fatalities from friendly fire in the enemy group. All the while, senses were on alert and she made sure to not make any hasty or large body movements such that her lithe figure would remain mostly guarded at all times.

Jade, still holding the Force within herself, quickly jumped behind another of the larger boulders to take cover as well as one group of bandits opened up on her. She knew she had to act quickly so that they could move to intercept the bandits who were attempting to capture the workers. So she began manipulating the Force that she had gathered and as an elastic stretched to the max, held it ready to snap. Closing her eyes, she finally released it in one explosive push. But from her hands, but from her back, which was against the boulder and pointing straight towards the bandits, but not the four bandits firing at her but the six with them who were even then moving to apprehend the workers

Sending the boulder flying at tremendous speed towards the bandits, Jade would roll away to avoid any blaster fire coming from the bandits now that her cover was gone and jumping to her feet with her rifle ready in hand. If any of the bandits were still on their feet she would promptly begin firing at them as she zigzagged her way forwards towards whatever would remain of the six bandits trying to capture the workers, otherwise moving towards the bandits during at them. All the while the Force guided her movements, never staying in one place for anyone to fire at her, while firing back to deal damage onto the bandits.

The group of fire that focused on Kano would be quickly and fluidly dealt with. He would make his way towards the ship and the laborers being loaded into them. Meanwhile the repeater that Alexandra pulled on burned through another two bandits in heavy armor before the shooter released the trigger. His remaining comrade looked at him in disbelief wondering the meaning behind the event.

For Jade, all of the bandits she had been targeting with the boulder shrapnel were knocked on the ground. She then proceeded to eliminate them as they tried recovering from their concussed state. The snipers on the roof tops of the buildings were not able to keep up with any of the Sith's movements. Shots hitting boulders and other obstacles or missing them all together as they moved between cover.

Alexandra was relentless in her assault, showing no ease of merciless execution as she continued her aggression towards those that dared opposed the Empire. Eyes and face fully corrupted with the dark side, she drew in the unholy force within her and unleashed it outwards at the repeater soldier as well as the confused battalion surrounding him. Their momentary lapse of attacking her due to the friendly fire would be a grave mistake, as the young sorceress released forth a devastating blast of Force energy, searing towards them in a direct path and hoping to smash against their armored figures. If successful, she would rely on her comrades to disrupt the Sniper fire so that she could personally execute those fallen.

Kano's smile appeared once again after getting closer to the six bandits that were trying to take the laborers, the fools haven't even noticed the large abomination that had just easily dispatched their comrades in arm, they were either too foolish and sure of themselves and their companions or weren't very good at multitasking, so stupid they weren't even able to capture the civilians and watch their own backs at the same time, not capable of thinking that one person holding a gun would be more than enough to move around those defenless men and women. The Kaleesh abomination used the force to enchance his speed, sprinting towards the bandits and getting in close combat in the blink of an eye.

The Kaleesh abomination put his four lightsabers to work, picking the six bandits one after another, hitting with all his lightsabers but one at once, attacking from different angles and directions while still enchancing his speed, making it impossible for the bandits to do anything about it once in range of the warden's weapons, that lightsaber that wasn't being put in use to attack, however, was being used to defend himself in case someone tried to shoot at him or somehow got through his offense.

Kano wasn't using the force to make himself faster just to kill them easier, but to make it harder for the snipers he noticed to hit him, sniper bolts were as fast as normal bolts, so going so fast made it almost impossible for them to hit the hulking monster that was slaughtering their friends if they wanted to try, combined with the fact that this time the Kaleesh warrior was moving in an erratic, unpredictable way on purpose, using the unorthodox to his advantage. If everything went according to plan and Kano killed the six bandits, he would get into the ship and murder the pilots, giving the civilians a place to use as a cover and protect themselves from any collateral damage

Jade avoided the fire from the snipers, and also noticed them. With their position revealed, Jade slipped behind the first boulder large enough to cover her and began firing back towards where she thought the snipers were. She didn't really expect to get them, she was simply laying down covering fire so that one of her companions could get them.

In case the snipers began getting close enough with their shots to hit her, she would react by beginning to run once more, away from the snipers to the safety of the her original position where she had been out of their range.

The various bandits that had survived the initial counter attack of the sith were taken out in a following series of attacks that worked in concert. The only ones that remained seemed to be the two surviving pilots. They realized everyone outside of the ship were taken out and both began activating the thrusters, lifting off the ground a full two meters. They pivoted and headed back towards the roofs where the snipers were.

The snipers on the other hand fired alternating shots at Jade. They had the higher ground and there were two of them. The two sharp shooters still flinched and tried to make themselves smaller targets, mostly hitting the boulder unintentionally that Jade was sheltered behind. However her tactic to distract them had definitely kept them from firing on either of her comrades.

Kano ended the pilot's life and looked out of the window, noticing how the other two freighters were falling back, Kano was not going to let those bandits get away from them so easily, the Kaleesh used the force to get into the head of his two partners telephatically "Take the other freighter, we are giving chase" He ordered before turning his head to the civilians "It's safe now, I want everyone except two of you that are good enough pilots to accompany me, we can't let these criminals get away or otherwise you may still be in danger in the future" He said, trying to convince two of the villagers to pilot by pulling out the "they will come back if you don't" card.

If they obeyed his orders, Kano would tell the pilots to give chase and shoot one of the two freighters, trying to take it down now that it was turning its back on them, while the two pilots were busy trying to shoot that freighter down, Kano was gathering the force, his eyes focusing on one of the snipers, a smile forming on his lips once they were near enough for Kano to use the force to pull the marksman towards them...and out of the building, letting gravity do the work for him. Kano would gather the force once more, waiting for the other sniper to be in range too...he was next.

Alexandra rejoiced with a carnal promise laced across her face, surveying the magnitude of destruction that her and her allies had inflicted on those foolish enough to challenge the Empire's might. As those on the ground were slain, she changed her focus to the remaining snipers and began to quickly dart behind cover, hoping to utilize Jade's distraction to sneak up on the men that were engaging them from their elevated safe haven.

Numerous members of the laborers were still stunned by the bandits and the rest were not very skilled in terms of piloting. They just looked at Kano with confusion and panic. They were not trained in the slightest for combat or how to deal with the trauma that ensued. None of them were fit to pilot the nerf herder that sat humming on the ground, left behind by the other two fleeing the place.

The two nerf herders would make it to a relative safe distance and slow just enough for the sniper teams to leap on board. They quickly accelerated away into nothing more than a small dot in the sky. They had lost and most of their numbers and would never truelly recover. They were crippled and had learned to never mess with the Sith Empire.
