DOSH
---
Skolas had been waiting a long time for an opportunity like this one. The hunter was asked to meet with another more prominent hunter, and though Skolas had his doubts, he wasn't going to throw away any possible connections that may benefit his long term goal. The image of his father's execution still lingered heavily in his mind. I'll rip that petty king's head off... The Yautja's grip tightened on his ship's controls. Skolas had to ease himself and relieve the tension- it probably wasn't good to have the urge to tear apart the closest living creature before a business meeting.

Trandosha, or 'Dosh' to it's natives, was different from Umbara. It had normal day and night cycles and the plants had no bioluminescent glow. It was almost no different than their rival planet, Kashyyyk, but Skolas didn't dare say that aloud. It didn't take long for the mercenary to find the right landing pad, and it didn't take long for him to don his traditional Yautja hunting armor as well. Skolas assumed that the Trandoshan's wouldn't have a problem with his arsenal or the prized trophies of humanoid skulls he adorned around his waist like a morbid belt.

After the Trophy Hunter's doors opened, Skolas made his way down the hatch, preparing to be met by his new contact. Trandoshan's were considered to be lesser than the Yautja. Skolas was faster, stronger, and more agile than these short-lived reptiles- or that's what he and his kin thought. The only thing the Trandoshan's could do that the Yautja couldn't was their natural ability to see in inferred vision. Even then, the mask Skolas wore could do far more than change vision modes.

Whoever thought this would be worth Skolas' time had better come up with some extraordinary pitch. Skolas didn't have time for politics-

I have a king to kill.

Outside of the Wayfarer class freighter were standing seven beings. Six of them were armed with rifles and obviously armored, and were made up of two Trandoshans, a Rodian, a Human, an IG series droid, and what could be an Ubese judging by the helmet style. These obviously were the guards, but the most interesting being in this group was a Dosh in simple green robes. These were the only notable beings on the platform, as other various species were moving around and doing menial tasks

"Welcome Ssskolassss, we have been expecting you. Come with ussss, and we shall take you to your meeting with our most essssstemed Warmasssster Yossssssssk." The female Dosh spoke, her sandpaper-like voice resonating from deep within her chest. She motioned toward the other craft on the platform: the somewhat worn Justifier Patrol Craft. Two of the guards were already on their way inside the craft as she had mentioned it, yet the other four were still flanking the female with two on each side. They had awaited the answer of the hunter, many of the occupants on the platform uneasy as tension atleast seemingly brewed.

...

The reptile had sat in wait for two hours, his thin frame laying on his stomach and rifle under his cheek. One eye was closed, yet the other was wide open as it stared through a scope. His SA-35 Heavy Blaster Rifle was primed and ready upon the hill he chose as his spot. Below him was a shallow valley of dry earth and soft savannah grass. His breathing was slow and controlled, for his prey would most likely hear any form of louder breathing.

Below him was a breeding pair of Gundarks, the scope lined up with the male as its prey. These creatures avoided this face twice before, so this time Yossk decided it was best to prepare well inadvance. He knew the welcoming party knew he was out here on this important hunt, he was the one who requested these beasts be brought to Dosh for the express purpose of being hunted. Yet the right shot was not within his grasp just yet, he wanted the pelt to be perfect. Now... he would wait.

One ship to another? That wasn't what Skolas had in mind. Who was this great hunter he had never heard of before today? Warmaster was a hefty term, even outside of what Skolas considered great titles. If some measly nobody Trandoshan simply claimed the name and thought it was funny, Skolas might be able to add a new trophy to his collection. Doubt had already begun to settle in the hunter's mind.

"Let us not be delayed." Was the only thing that came out of the Yautja's mouth in low grumble. Skolas could smell the anxiety that reaked from a few of these guards and he wasn't sure if he was to be satisfied or disgusted. They had no stomach! Yes, Skolas may have looked intimidating, but they were mind controlling bugs flaying entire planets because they could. If all it took was a Yautja to shake these maggots, then perhaps this Yossk was no more famous the Yautja himself.

Yossk was lying in wait when he heard the soft, far off while of the Justifiers engines. He knew the Gundarks heard them too, as the doe had her ears raised and head towards their position. It swooped on by, as Yossk had ordered, yet rounded too quickly and landed awfully close. They were still well away from the hill, but the beasts still began to break for it. You came in to close! The reptiles mind flashed with a white hot anger; if this would loose him the quarry he had wished for so bad then it seemed to be only fair he skin the entire crew and use them to replace the Gundark pelts for a while. Yet the beasts stopped as the entrance ramp began to lower. They had assumed a flanking position on each side, backs turned to Yossk as they sat in wait...

...

The group has gathered near the entrance ramp after the roughly half hour flight. With them was a yet unseen white box. Well, to call it white wouldn't be right as it was very faded and in many spots worn off for the gunmetal silver metal beneath to show. Several of the mercenaries had stepped out first to secure the area, this area was known to be the roaming ground of several dangerous native and relocated species, as the robed Dosh had picked the cargo container up and began stepping behind the group while making sure the guest was moving ahead of them. Only the greeter knew where Yossk was, none of the others thought had a clue who knew what or where their boss was.

But figuring that out was belayed as the Gundarks changed. The buck from the right and the doe from the left, the pair came crashing in like a pair of freight trains. One simply jumped at the first mercenary who approached and ramed its eight large upper arm claws into their chest, breaking the humans armor and killing them instantly. The other Gundark felt more sinister, and chose to grab the Ubese and begin to crush them. But before all of them could even react, a shot rang out. The buck finally revealed its ear to the young Yossk, who fired off a bolt right into it and into the brain. The now slain beast stumbled and dropped its injured prey, before falling backwards with a horrific death scream. The doe was confused, seemingly distracted for a moment while the shot killed its partner. It frantically looked around before spotting the hill. That was all it took for Yossk to get a perfect shot, a single bolt to the eye send her down for the count. Yossk made sure to let the smoke clear and scan the area for any other creatures before standing. The camouflage he wore was wrapped around him and the heavy rifle like a poncho, and unbeknownst to those in the ground his face was painted to match tone wise.

"I apologize," Yossk spoke as he was close to the group, "Your pilot had pulled in to clossse. I would have had them on the run up if they had landed on the agreed upon location but it ssseemssss they already learnt their lesssssson. My name is Yosssssssk, and you musssst be the hunter Ssskolasss." His voice was dry, though not as hoarse and sandpaper-like as his father's. It was more airy, Intellectual, calculating. His lithe form was nowhere as massive as his father's, yet he still strode with such confidence. He extended one clawed hand to the other being, the lever action rifle of his being slung over his other shoulder by this point. He used the Force to begin subtly probing the others mind, one hunter trying to read the emotions and thoughts of the other so he can best steer the situation how he intended it to go. And the other hunter won't even know it.

When the patrol ship touched down, Skolas was surprised to see that all the mercenaries rushed out to secure a perimeter. Instinct told the mercenary to stay inside, and it was a good thing he did. Two Gundarks whirled out of the bushes and began mauling what remained of the crew. However, when Skolas unsheathed his claws on his left arm, the Gundark pair had already been subdued by a Trandoshan. Maybe this was the Warmaster Skolas had been hearing so much about.

"You hunt well," Skolas complimented and shook the Trandoshan's hand. Something, however, tried sickling it's way into the Mercenaries mind which immediately made him flinch back. His mental defenses went up, too. Skolas hadn't hunted a Force sensitive, but he was trained rigorously by his people to be able to hunt anything. Skolas had a knack for keeping creatures out of his head already, as he was already fairly closed off and self-kept. From behind his helm, Skolas glared at the lizard.

"For a sorcerer." The Yautja spat. That would explain how easily he was able to take down the Gundarks. The Force was seen as no more than a steroid to his people. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Most of his kin preferred not to use it if they found out they were in tune with the Force. It took the honor out of the Hunt.

The reptile would have beheaded this inferior being if he was not useful. Even though he was such a useful tool, Yossk thought for a moment about carving into him with his saber. His teeth softly ground together as his eyes slightly narrowed. He swallowed his pride and turned to a fake smile to hide the rage.

"You sssseem to know your ssstuff, but there isss a difference between powersss and ssskill." Yossk spoke, and mentioned to the lever action rifle at his side. Indeed, he had not used the Force when hunting these beasts. Trandoshans were almost genetically trained to be hunters, and Yossk had trained himself to try to be one of the best. "And I prefer to hunt to show my ssskill and not my power. I am Warmassster Yossssssk. I wasss the one who had sssummoned you here."

He motioned for the mercenaries to bring to him the case they had brought, one of the thugs were on each handel as they brought it beside their leader. Yossk punched in a code on the front of this box and unlatched the lid. Slowly setting it off to the side, inside sat a very organic looking helmet, made with artisan quality second to none. The Trandoshan tilted his head to it and motioned for the other hunter to take it, as is Dosh culture. He did set this meeting up, so he brought a gift.

"Thisss helmet is built around the bonesss of many animalssss that have been hunted, shaped to bessst fit a sssimilar shape asss to what your ssspeciesss uses. Take thissss asss a gift, it isss customary for my ssspeciesss to give them if they initiate a meeting. Essspecially one where your ssservicesss would be useful." He grinned wider, this one slightly genuine. He knew this being would be a great tool, a useful hammer in the game of warfare.

The lizard thought that by giving Skolas a gift, he didn't need to explain himself. This...was not going as Skolas planned. He wanted to get down to business, not awkward formalities. From behind his mask, Skolas furrowed his brow. It would take far more than piece of animal carcass to impress the Hunter, anyway. What was the Trandoshan playing at? He was no more powerful than the Yautja and yet he acted as if he were the King of this unruly forest! The gall this being had to disrespect their own allies...

"That is a hefty title for a nobody." Skolas folded his arms and tilted his head with curiosity. Yossk had probably just as much renown as Skolas, and Skolas had hunted bigger threats than Gundarks. Yautja were physically more capable than the Trandoshans, so Skolas decided that maybe killing the Gundarks was good for their moral or something. "I do not except gifts from strangers. What do you want with me, lizard? I came here for business. If my time would be better spent elsewhere, then I'll take my leave and go."
