"Well thats an interesting little story. As for me, I'm a loner. I have only one duty in life, to protect my little sister Hinata. My ship's power was running low and I had to stop here to let it recharge. *Neji's pupiless lavender eyes suddenly looked distant, He was recalling things from his past.*

Quin sensed a great deal of confusion, and hesitance within his new friend. The young knight carefully thought over his words before speaking. This was a touchy subject, and he wanted to ensure he was not appearing as a preacher to a lost soul. "You think the Jedi are not unlike robots, without emotion or feeling? Misconceptions most have, I guess. It is not that the Jedi lack these traits, we have learned to control them. As a Jedi, I feel pain and suffering as much as any man. I just do not allow them to control my thoughts, and actions. This is a never ending lesson I'm afraid. Each dawning day breeds a new harvest of challenges to be overcome. It is not a life for all, it is not the...easy path, but it is a rewarding one." Quin let his last sentence hang in the air between them for a moment before continuing on with his view of the Jedi and life in general "Your master has fallen, and you went to slay his killers? Do you honor a man's memory by becoming that which he disdained? The best way to honor a great man is to try and walk his path, putting your feet in his foot-prints as best you can. That is the way of showing honor and love for those we miss so much"... Quin spoke the last bit with a heavy heart, he had his own devil's to dance with; but he wished to help this young man, before he could choose a darker path, one devoid of light.

Quin flashed Marc a smile, and turned his attention to the newest member of their rapidly growing group. "Your sister, where is she now?" Quin asked as he pointed below. It would seem the group arrived at a cliff, at the bottom was a pool of crystal clear water. In the distance a water fall could be heard crashing into the valley below. The drop wasnt too bad, 18 meters, by Quin's guestimation.

Marc was unnaturally quiet for a time. He knew that what he had done was the way of the Warrior, but it was not the way of the Jedi. He also knew that Jedi had emotions and tried to suppress them into nonexistence. "Feelings are a tool in which to be used," Marc said at last as he turned to face the Jedi, "but tools need to be mastered. If the user cannot use his tools, accidentes will happen, and he should try to supress them." Marc paused and continued his slow and careful explaination, "Feelings were made to be used. My feelings for my Master got the best of me and I not only tracked down his killers, I killed them all...all 32 of them involved in the plot." A longer regretful pause. "After that, I refused to access the Force, even in the slightest, most simple of times, until I could handle the tools again. However, I do not believe that the Jedi can accept what I have done, much less what I have become." Marc sighed. He had regretful passion behind his voice the whole time he was speaking. Any listener could tell that he was trully sorry for what he had done, but he was also worried about what the future held, and he was copeing the best that he could.

As Quin peered into the small pool of churning water below, he understood now more than ever the words of his tormented friend. With a soft and caring voice devoid of judgment Quin replied with words laced with deep emotion "The Jedi do not suppress their feelings, they strive to never allow them to rule their actions. There is a great chasm between the two. While I feel fear, anxiety and love, I do not allow these feelings to rule my actions. When one acts while in a state of anything other than mental clarity they more times than not, make severe misjudgments. Only when we regain our self control do we realize the things we have done, and sometimes beg to have those precious few moments returned to us so we may replay them differently"...Quin paused for a moment, his vision was fully within the flowing pool of silver-blue waters. Within the swirling liquid he saw the face of his master Arlon Vey, his master's voice echoed through his mind as he stood unblinking for what seemed like an eternity. Quin listened to the words of his old mentor before pulling his mind free of the force connection, retuning his mind to the here and now. What had seemed like minutes was only a fraction of a second; he realized when he turned to see marc, still awaiting his next sentence…

He Calmly switched on several keys from the cockpit of the Roaming Thunder, and the modified corelian freighter exited the wormhole of hyperspace, bringing itself the the massive blackness of space. The never ending Vaccum seemed like a quiet and seren dimension, although to those who travelled it, that idea of space brought laughter. Karos himself had just barely escaped a 4 way dog fight over some cargo left by a republic vessle. The truth in the saying that space was calm was as bleak as space itself.

a giant orange planet came into view, and The navi computer quickly analyzed the data, as the name of the planet came into view on the main screen.

"Ossus." said Karos, and his deep, low voice. "The cradle of the jedi. The Museum of Exar Kun's power. And a place to lay low."

He prepared his ship for landing as the freighter dived through the Atmosphere of the Mystical planet.

As his ship came closer and closer to the earth, He began looking for a place to land, and there was no fine pick of the litter. Ossus was ravaged years ago by the Dark Lord Exar Kun, and the planet still carried the scars of the conflict. The ashes in the dirt told the story.

Than somthing captured his attention. Among the ravaged ground laid the ruins of a Jedi statue. The ruins seemed to faced a certain direction, and his studies came to mind immidiatley. He piloted his freighter to the direction the statue was facing, and surly enough, The Jedi temple of Ossus came into view.

"Looks like they renovated the place a bit" Said Karos, remembering hearing stories of one Kain lightbringer who rebuilt the temple. But the jedi had left Ossus ofter Lightbringer's death, so there should be no one there. Perfect.

He manuvered his ship, expertly landing the Freighter by the ancient temple, such that he was somewhat hidden by the structure. He walked off of his ship, and inhaled deeply. The force was strong here.

"And I totally agree with what you have said," Marc said in responce to the older Jedi, "Your emotions should never dominate you actions. However your emotions can be a powerful tool if you approach it with the same ammount of respect as you would the Force. It vastly increases your abilities and ends all conflicts nearly before they start." Marc was just justifying himself and he knew it. Marc had the courage to do many great things, but losing was not one of them.
Marc reached out in the Force again to try to coax the being just out of view to come to him. After several moments of failure, the creature started to follow Marc and the group of feline Force wielders, at a distace of course, but follow just the same. Oh well, this is better than nothing.
The party reached the Jedi temple at about the time a starship landed. Corrilien, unless I totally missed my guess. Most Jedi would have been admiring the construction of the temple, its intracate carvings, the great towers, and the strong flow of the Force which felt more like a tidal wave than just a flow. But Marc was not a normal Jedi. He was admiring the newly landed ship and all its modifications. Whoever owns that ship knows what he is doing.

Karos had seen the group nearing his ship, and began to second guess his thoughts about Ossus bieng a place to lay low. He was away from them of course, perched upon the rooftoops of the temple aweing, calmly watching and studying his surroundings, letting the force teach him what his eyes could not adress.

His blaster found its way to Karos' hand, and a Muscular Arm stretched forward, and aimed the blaster scope straight at Marc's head.

"Ah, ah, ah. No Touching."

Marc whipped his head around at the sound of a drawn lightsaber, "Thanks Neji, nice save." Acting not interested with the unseen enemy, he walked around the ship, trying to find the enterance, and finally doing so. Marc yelled out in the direction of the intruder, "So, Corrilean, what made you so interested in such a small, out of the way world, eh? Thought that you could wait to catch a few unsuspecting Jedi and collect the bounties for their heads? If that was you plan, it seems to have failed miserably." While he was talking, Marc sent Force Messages to the feline-human beings; the basic idea of all of them was, Go and catch him by suprise. Supress your Force sensitivity and get him like you caught us. Marc blathered on and on and on. He began to even bore himself. He kept talking until he recieved the Force Message that said, We have him, but he is a friendy. Marc did not quite understand what the message meant, exactly, but regardless he sent a reply Message, Bring him down here then, but not too roughly. Marc knew that another friend would be a valuable addition to their little party. Marc drew his Heavy Pistol and began to clean it as he drew in the Force around him. Yes, a valuable addition, but he could prove to be a dangerous enemy as well if his intentions did not align with their own. Marc was bored and wanted action badly, but not so badly that he was ready to start something of his own volition; though enough to be ready for it if action if it did come.

Ah, the arrogance of the jedi knights. memories flooded his mind of his years in the order. Always the jedi knights and padawans had a slight sense of arrogance. Even some Masters. It was one of the things he couldn't stand.

But, they always said surprise was the best ally. Unknown to the Jedi, Karos had easily picked up the transmition in the force, and smiled as he did so. He gathered the Force around him, and propelled himself in the air, sending him self on top of his ship. As his feet touch, a snap was heard as a lightsaber appeared in the Hand of the renegade. He leaped again, this time landing between the entrance to his ship, and the other jedi, who carried a heavy blaster pistol.

"Really," His deep voicce boomedm "I meant it. No touching. Who are you?"

Before Neji could make good on any theat he was about to make and before the newcommer could do anything about it, Marc whipped whirled around like a monoon. Onlookers could faintly see a flash of a pale green Lightsaber. Neji flew back about a dozen feet, unhurt andstill standing, but far enough away to make melee combat usless. Marc centered himself between the ship's owner and the two Jedi.

The feline creature quickly sprang up, ready for action, but they knew that could do nothing against lightsabers and they were not foolish enough to try. Besides, Jedi could take care of themselves. They did, however form a perimeter around the landing area so that not even a Jedi Master could escape unscathed.

Marc knelt with his Lightsaber's hilt pressed firmly against his hand and the ground. He was able to separate Neji and the newcommer, but that did mean that he lost his blaster off to the side in the process and he would now be forced to take whatever punishment the Force sensitive intruder felt like giving him. Marc tried to quickly gain footing and put himself into a defensive stance while saying, "I could be asking you the same questions." Simontaniously Marc screamed to the inturder through the Force, DO NOT HURT ME!!! A little lame, he knew, but hopefully it was enough to startle the intruder enough to let him stand. Little did Marc know that he unwittingly used Force Scream again and put everyone in a half a mile radius on edge because Force Scream is very much a Dark Side power.

The intruder felt the full effects of the Scream and for the first time realized the clouded/gray aura of Force around the young man standing in front of him. Confusion, Pain, and a little Corruption. Marc was oblivious to all this though.

Relief flooded through Marc when no blow came and he gained his feet again, only to be completely confused when everyone looked ready to attack him, as if he was some sort of beast meant to be hunted. No one came withing a body's length of him, not wanting to be any closer than they had to be. Marc just did not understand it. He eyed the two Jedi and the intruder inquisitively, asking without words what was happening. He thought that he had just saved a combat situation from happening, instead he was treated as the intruder. Marc was truly very confused at this point.

As the shockwave of the force scream pentrated his mind, his body shook slightly, but he quickly controlled himself, expelling the waves of force emenating from the young gray cloud of a human. his expression became grave, and his lightsaber was gripped even tighter in his hand. his blaster hand was aimed directly at Neji's neck, to keep the young jedi down. His lightsaber remained ignited, intimidating the force user in front of him to move.

He spoke again to Marc Shadel, his voice hoarse and deep.

"Do that again," He paused for a moment, "and I'll kill you. I'll ask again. Who are you?"

Marc, totally confused at why everyone around him looked as thought they wanted to gut him, tried to focus on what the intruder told him to do "Do that again...and I'll kill you" No not that part! "I'll ask again. Who are you?" That was the right phrase. Marc decided that this honesty thing was the only thing that was going to save innocent and unneccessary bloodshed so he, yet again and not without a sigh, explained what had happened.
"My name is Marc Shadel. I was a former apprentice to a Jedi Master who's name is of little consequence. How I came here from there is none of your buisness, but I can tell you that I am no Jedi however much I wish that I could be one. The three of us," Marc motioned to the others, "all happend to chance upon this planet at the same time. We were going to start the reconstruction of the Jedi Temple here before we met you and this whole scandel began.
When the stranger did not move, Marc deactivated his lightsaber thouroughly annoyed and obnoxiously asked, "Would you shut that thing off so I can get up, I am getting a hemroid staying down like this, and don't look at me like I just became the Dark Lord of the Sith. I haven't grown horns or wings either! Let me up!" Marc was about to yell again, but every time he had, he felt as though everyone around him was suffering something terrible and afterwards they wanted to flay him alive. Best not to envoke either feeling while he was still in this situation.
All around Marc could tell that he was telling the truth, the Force around him gave it away. So much power, but unused. He could greatly aid either the Dark or the Light, but neither had any sway on him yet. And Marc just lay there, uninformed about his Force Scream, his potential, or anything. He was trully a confused individual and in desparate need of a direction, this much was clear to the three Jedi onlookers.

The tall dark man seemed to fall into deep thought, although his arms did not move even the slightest, leaving the saber pointed at mark, and the blaster at the other jedi. He didn't really care why they were on Ossus. They were of no concern to him. But he quickly established dominance, just to ensure that he is left alone by these jedi.

With a flick of his wrist, the glowing sword rose, and with a click of his finger, the blade retreaded back into the hilt, like a krayt dragon dissappears with food into the caves on Tatooine. He holstered his pistol away, and again spoke.

"Rule Number 1. Do not go near my ship. Rebuild what you will, but you will stay away from my ship. Questions?" He looked from one jedi to the next, his deep gaze pentrating their facade of bravery, and giving the hint of intimidation.

"No Questions," Marc stated as he rose. What a freakin A! I've never met more of a punk in my life!!!

For the next few weeks Marc, the two Jedi, and the Feline species worked on rebuilding the Jedi Temple. It was hard and grusome work, but after it was completed Marc could boast about a few new things. One was that his body was completely ripped from all the physical work that he had to do. The second was that his connection with the Force had become much stronger than it was BEFORE he had left the Order. Third was that his T-3 units had finished the repairs on his ship. Marc was, for the first time time in what seemed like forever, trully happy.

Walking through the gardens surrounding the Jedi Temple just enjoying life, till a strange urge came over him. Marc quickly descided that it was the Force so he rushed to his 'room' and collected all of his equipment. As Marc was leaving, he stopped. His feet would not let him move any further as he could part of a black cloth sticking out of the top of one of his bags. Ok, here this goes again! and Marc threw himself headlong back into the room. When he emerged one could have sworn that Marc Shadel was still inside the room and the man standing in front of them was an imposter.

Replaced were the messed up hair, greasy flight suit, near wrecked flight helmet, and ship-fluid stained flight boots. Marc's hair was slicked back neatly into place, not so much as a hair out of place. His greasy flight suit replaced by a neat dark green shirt tucked into his black pants and held together by a black, leather belt all of the finest quality. His helmet became obsolete when Marc strapped his commlink/sensor array harness over his head. Fine, black leather boots finished off the look of a well to do merchant, but that was not the end of the outfit.

On the black leather belt, dangling awkwardly, lay something that Marc had not worn so that all could see it for many years. Always hidden, it represented Marc's intention of steering clear of all Force sentitive beings; but now he had it out, not hidding it from anyone, boldly, proudly. This is such a bad idea, I can't believe that I am doing this. He pulled the black cape tighter around his neck. It was still there, swirling Power around Marc, making him feel safe. The Dark cape seemed to have a Force Aura of its own, or at least a power to collect more Force around it when worn. However, the aura that surrounded the cape and the are around it was similar to the hue of the cape, but Marc could not tell the difference. He was never instructed on the difference. A failure in his learning, not taught by his Master.

Marc made his was down the corridors to where his ship was parked. Marc did not intend to leave, but whatever he was supposed to do was around the are of his ship. As Marc neared his ship he cast a longing glace at the stranger's ship. Marc had not seen any hint of the stranger's presence since his run in with him all those weeks ago. So why not take a look. All he said was not to touch. Marc could not resist the temptation. He walked over to the awsome ship and started making laps around it, making notes in his data pad about its external systems and their lay out. To Marc, it was a masterpiece. Marc sat down right where he was and began to reconstruct the ship on his data pad as well as he could.

Little did Marc know that he did not do this unwatched.
