Just...another small note guys, it's technically not really okay to post before previous edits or challenges have been resolved xD I guess this is kind of an exception since it's a 1v1v1, but just for future reference perhaps in other threads :p

I've been on the defensive because I didn't want to say, "Mirdala's been an assassin as long as this kid's been alive so I have a reason to counter everything he does."
I could have said, "Being paranoid and having extensive experience in Tradecraft Mirdala spots the man as he leaves the cantina." But i didn't. I played up your assassin because that's his specialty.

I could have said that the EMP failed because i was out of its radius." But I gave up my gear because even with your poisoned blades I'm confident in taking you without guns or flamethrower. Give you a chance to shine as an assassin.

I could've shot your sonic grenade while it was airborne. But I wrote a misfire because I was willing to make the story exciting with some humor and some pain to legitimize the battle.

So it's not that you're writing isn't 'interesting.' But I'm not an NPC either. You can't rationalize away all my actions while pretending you're so good you can take on two assassins, beat a more experienced assassin and never get touched.

I could have thermal det wrekked you and topped it off with a high explosive warhead when you started talking but that wouldn't have been fun for anyone.

And I could say that Lucius is actually more than twice Mirdala's age, but the in-character experience really doesn't have anything to do with how PvP is conducted. That's actually kind of a side note in what's different with this timeline compared to older ones, basically a Padawan is able to take on a Master now if they can outmaneuver/outwrite them. I mean, I also could've written in my very first post that Lucius shot Mirdala in the head right as he stepped out of the cantina, but I didn't want to do that. I also played up your mandalorian in my post (e.g. "A highly reactive opponent — Lucius would expect no less from a Mandalorian in their prime.") as that's a courteous thing to do, and thank you for doing the same for mine.

However, this is how PvP is conducted. I never once insinuated that you or your characters were NPCs, not in the least. I would've welcomed you to attempt thermal det wrekking me, that would've been both interesting and cool (as I've had people attempt it before with my Jedi - fun times). I'm not rationalizing away actions due to in-character experience - I'm writing reasonable and logical counters to attacks made. I wasn't aware that you didn't want this battle to be more of a story than a competitive challenge (or rather, a Theatrical PvP as opposed to standard). My intention is to capture your character, and I fully intend on doing so. You, of course, fully intend on not having Mirdala caught. Please, be my guest and give me what you've got! We can make this both a challenge and interesting for both of us. :)

The main thing I was looking for was essentially that the effects wouldn't be wearing off the very next post, as they most likely wouldn't until the end of the next round (15-20 seconds later after being hit with the SG-4).

And no i understand how pvp works. But saying " i let you shoot me so now i have edited my post to say you uave not shot me and are out of range." insinuating shes an idiot for setting up outside effective range.

So i can say " youre not touching me because i dont want you too" to you from now on? And tell me to bring it on while suggesting i should sit the next round out because i let you hit me with the grenade. How about I edit back to before i got hit with grenade and say you didnt because you your repulsor boots took you out of range and you couldn't tell. Lol thats what that sounds like to me.

I'm not on either side of this, and you know how I feel on this matter, but to be fair I purposely set up at 400 meters so that it was emphasized how my character was originally planning on only having to take one shot; the situation was deliberately easy to avoid.

What upset me was the fact that he took the hit at first, and then took it back after it was realized how much damage it should've dealt. As I've told you I still think he's wrong, but given how I brought the matter to his attention after his post was already "confirmed," I just decided to let it go.

Once again, this was just a clarification of the "second bullet" thing, as well as the "400 meters is the maximum range" thing. (Both of which I believe to have sadly unsatisfying solutions, but hey, what can you do at this point?)

Okay, I can sense that you're getting very agitated and I suggest you take a break for a little bit before replying. No, I'm not saying that Mirdala should just lie flat and be helpless, because he isn't entirely helpless (though severely incapacitated nonetheless). I'm saying that currently your post says Mirdala was just recovering from the blast in half the time it should take him to. That's all I was saying, the rest is up to you to act or defend as you choose.

That was her decision for setting up at exactly 400 meters away where her sniper would be effective of a heavy blaster shot. Anything past 400 meters (since the max range is something like 900 meters) means the shot is equivalent to a light blaster shot, which is detailed in the gun writeup, which I took advantage of — not insinuated she was an idiot. You're reading false intentions into my actions. Initially I decided to take the shot because Lucius was standing still, but to reduce the timeframe of the post (and also because it's a fairly easy attack to dodge on repulsorboots) I wrote that she missed. Adore was entirely able to contest that edit if she thought it was unreasonable, which she didn't. I didn't change my post to avoid taking more damage, as I'd have argued it would do basically what I initially wrote it did (ricocheted, but ruined chest plate).

There is a difference between acting/posting within reason and godmodding. You can't edit that far back because of PvP rules and can't control the actions of my own character or their judgement in things such as throwing grenades. You can react to my attacks and try taking advantage of actions that my character does; that's how PvPs are won. Lucius didn't dodge Zisria's sniper shot because of her shooting, he dodged it because of his own evasive maneuvers if that makes any sense. Essentially, I didn't dictate her faults or actions. I only dictated a logical reaction to her attack, in which case Lucius moved quickly and unpredictably to avoid being hit.

Hmm, I believe it would be a similar activation as the wrist blades; so yes, handsfree.
