Cartel Missions

Cartel Missions are those that benefit the Hutt Cartel as whole. They involve members of all ranks and backgrounds going out into the wider galaxy, and spreading crime and corruption. The Hutts aren't so much interested in going out invading worlds as they are in making money off expanding the seedy underbelly of the galaxy. Black market deals, pirate raids, fixing races, smuggling drugs, gang attacks, mercenary work, corporate warfare, and so much more are what the Hutt Cartel is about. Members of all the Hutt Kajidics are expected to put their differences aside when working for the benefit of the Cartel as whole. These activities do not reward one above the other, though they are often related to the sort of work that the dominant clan also engages in. Likewise these activities do not offend any particular clan, and those not looking to get wrapped in the politics of the Cartel may participate in them without risk.
Pirates of the Nexus
With recent activities on the part of the Empire and the Rebellion, the Cartel feels it's time to reassert itself and start taking greater interest in the control of trade around Hutt Space. Especially the space surrounding our dear Bothan friends. Recently a few merchantman convoys refused to give us a cut of their profits, for their "protection". Well you can't say we didn't tell them. Utilize a pair of Corona-K's and whatever smaller craft you possess to remind that this region of space can be terribly dangerous. The convoy we have information on consists of 2 GR-75's, 2 See'ybark's, 4 YT-4200's, and a Shukala defending them all. Don't let them trace this attack back to us, if your horrible enough that one gets away.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Attack the merchantman convoy and destroy or disable all vessels.
  • [OPTIONAL] Capture the merchantman convoy or at least their cargo
PAYMENT:
  • 35,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2-3 Participants

The Gall of Some People
While we're stepping up our own pirate activities, the sad truth is that there are some pirates out there who aren't working for us. And some of them are a little close for comfort. A small band of pirates basing themselves on Gall has proven to be quite the thorn in our side. They call themselves the...I don't remember, it doesn't really matter. The point is for screwing with us they're dead men and women walking whatever they call themselves. We need a crack team of mercenaries, thugs, and do-wronger's to take them down, and secure the base for us so we can use it for our own piratical ventures.

Or you could give it a shot, I guess.

We think there's about 30-40 pirates in total (we think based on their ship sizes and numbers), and their base is in Smuggler's Canyon. You can either land on one of their landing pads, and go in guns blazing, or try sneaking up through the canyon. Or whatever you want to do, just go get it done already for kriff's sake.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Eliminate the pirate's at the base in Smuggler's Canyon
  • Secure the base for use by the Cartel
PAYMENT:
  • 28,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2-3 Participants

Snitches Get Riches
Farstine's a pretty important part of the spice trade, but it's a part we don't control as much as we'd like. Fortunately there's a smuggler willing to give us a hand in getting in on the business, with the best routes in and out, knowledge of the docking bays, who needs a payoff where, and all that good stuff. His name is Shaun. Unfortunately Smuggler Shaun's buddies aren't so keen on him giving up their secrets to us, and they want him dead now. He's called for help, but we're sending you instead. Try to get him out of the space port alive, there'll be about twenty angry smugglers wanting you dead for helping him.

Oh and did we mention that the planet's atmosphere is methane? Try not to suffocate before you even find Smuggler Shaun.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Find Smuggler Shaun
  • Get Smuggler Shaun off Farstine alive.
PAYMENT:
  • 18,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2 Participants

Dude Where's My Podracer?
Mon Gazza is a pretty important world in the racing business. Home to a number of Pod Racing Circuits, it's a natural location for us to expand our operations in this regard. We've already found some top notch racers to recruit, and sponsor that will let us start getting some influence. Unfortunately the best of these, a Rodian named Leeven. Unfortunately Reeven isn't the most observant, and got his pod stolen by a rival. Normally we'd just drop him and be done with it, but he really is lightyears ahead of the competition. The team that stole his pod is based nearby, and their racer is another Rodian, named Steeven. They're related actually, and pretty fierce competitors. Break into Steeven's garage, and a steal Pod for our man. Steeven doesn't have a lot of security, just a few droids we think. Although from what Leeven's told us there's also a pretty vicious Pit Droid in there soooo...have fun!

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Break into Steeven's garage
  • Steal a Pod Racer for Leeven
  • OPTIONAL: Steal Leeven's Pod back
  • OPTIONAL: Steal a better Pod for Leeven
  • OPTIONAL: Sabotage Steeven's Pod Racer
PAYMENT:
  • 15,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2 Participants

Hyper Hypori
The Cartel has known about the droid foundries of Hypori for a really long time. The last time we messed around with it, things didn't go so well for us. It's been a few hundred years since then, so we're pretty sure everything's safer now. But not by much. Some initial scouts who were exploring the underground factories reported seeing functional Super Battledroids, and Droideka Mk. II's. Which is bad if we're planning to expand in that direction. We need a few [ST]chumps[/ST] stalwart members of this prestigious organization to follow the scout's path and eliminate any droid resistance. Also try to find out who reactivated everything down there.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Explore the underground factory on Hypori
  • Eliminate all B2 Super Battledroids, and Droideka Mk. II's you find
  • Find who reactivated the droids
  • OPTIONAL: Recover the bodies of the scouts we sent in
PAYMENT:
  • 50,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2-3 Participants
  • 1 NPCer (NPCer please contact FL for details)

Kajidic Missions

Kajidic Missions are operations carried out by the individual clans of the Hutt Cartel. They are mostly focused on internal affairs, as each jockeys for a stronger position, and often involve undertaking limited action against their fellow Hutts. A careful balance must be maintained to keep things from spilling over into war between the clans, but with each mission completed by a Kajidic they move closer to a stronger position that threaten to upset that balance. Any member of the Cartel may undertake any Kajidic mission they wish. Prospects are encouraged to do so as a way of gaining favor, or figuring out which Kajidic best suits their skill set.

Enforcers and Champios who choose to undertake missions belonging to other Kajidics must be wary however. The one they are currently a member of will not look kindly on such actions if they choose to undertake a mission belonging to an opposing Kajidic, which could have In-Character repercussions. We simply don't wish to limit anyone to only doing missions of their Kajidic and general Cartel missions, and miss out on all the great stories of double cross, betrayal, and loyalty that can be woven from such actions.

NOTE: Please do not sign up for a mission belonging to an opposing Kajidic for the sole purpose of undermining it without letting us know beforehand so we can smooth over any ruffled feathers it creates OOC, and ensure that it isn't happening all the time.

Kajidic Velora Missions
Velora is opposed to Besadii and Kormtha

Good Dog
The Velora require more animals for use in their gladiator pits, and more despicable fighting arenas. People are tried of seeing Rancors, and Nexu's, and all the usual creatures that are thrown against gladiators and each other. They want something new, and that's exactly what we've found. Well not literally 'new', but something outside the usual. The Nek are a cybernetically enhanced canine species that will work wonderfully. Go to Cyborrea and capture a pack of wild ones, around a dozen. Be careful, we don't want the Nek's dead, but odds are they won't feel the same away about you. And Cyborrea is a heavy gravity world so be sure to take proper precautions if you don't want to go through what the Gladiators will be.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Capture a pack of wild Neks
PAYMENT:
  • 15,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2-3 Participants

The Pits
Nar Kreeta is home to many abandoned quarries which have been turned into fighting pits for gladiator matches, and other blood sports. Rumors of escaped slaves (many of whom are believed to be former gladiators) hiding out in one of the pits that has fallen into disuse has many on the world on edge. And on edge means they're not betting on the fights as much as they should. Calm their fears. The leader of the band is believed to a Klatooinian named Rithaban, make sure an example of him in particular is made to discourage our other fights from trying similar.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Search the abandoned fighting pit, and eliminate any escaped gladiators you find
  • Make an example of their leader, Rithaban
PAYMENT:
  • 20,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2-3 Participants

Arming Up
The Besadii are perceived as weak after the Dogi affair, and Velora intends to take advantage of that. They're looking for a team to intercept a shipment of guns coming out of Diyu. By intercepting the shipment, they'll not only deprive Besadii of armaments, but increase the amount Velora controls. The shipment is to be intercepted at the spaceport, hijack the freighter, and eliminate all resistance you find. Do not be subtle about it either. The shipment is believed to be protected by up 10 guards and other personnel on the freighter.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Hijack the weapons shipment on Diyu
PAYMENT:
  • 30,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2-3 Participants
  • 1 NPCer (NPCer please contact FL for details)

Kajidic Besadii Missions
Besadii is opposed to Velora and Anjiliac

Mercenary
Besadii is looking to improve its image, after the arrest of Dogi. To rebuild their reputation as a tough, weapons heavy, part of the Cartel they're looking for recruits for a mercenary job on Tol Amn. Some of the farmers have recently gotten into a dispute with some of the other farmers. The ones that are paying more are the ones you'll be helping. Go in, and destroy the farmhouses of those opposing them, and burn their fields. There are three farms that need to be destroyed, and about fifteen farmers that will likely oppose you with whatever weapons they have on hand.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Destroy the farms
  • Burn the fields
  • Eliminate any opposition
PAYMENT:
  • 15,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2-3 Participants

Shopping Maul
It has come to our attention that Besadii produced weapons are being sold in one of the largest arms bazaars on the space station orbiting Hosko. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, it's not like we don't sell weapons. But these weapons are believed to be from a shipment stolen from Rishi some time ago. Recover the weapons, but be warned. You're going into an arms bazaar, everyone will be heavily armed, and will likely be less than pleased by your efforts to recover our stolen merchandise.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Recover the stolen weapons by any means necessary
PAYMENT:
  • 20,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2-4 Participants

Push Back
The Besadii are eager to reestablish themselves as a Kajidic not to be trifled with. To that end, they've prepared an attack on a Velora lieutenant to send that Kajidic a message; don't screw with us. The lieutenant's name is Virgil, a Human who is in charge of a Velora slave operation on Ilos Minor. Eliminating him will put a crimp in Velora's operations there, and allow us to not only push them back , but also start moving in on their slaving operations. Virgil is well guarded however, and has four former Velora gladiators as his body guard.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Kill the Velora Lieutenant
PAYMENT:
  • 30,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2-3 Participants
  • 1 NPCer (NPCer please contact FL for details)

Kajidic Desilijic Missions
Desilijic is currently opposed to no one

Light The Fires
Desilijic is always looking to expand its smuggling business, and do that, more and better freighters are needed. An independent shipping group has recently brought 4 YT-4200's to Chalacta. While not the best freighter on the market, they're easy to modify and would make an excellent addition to Desilijic. Of course the Kajidic doesn't want to pay for them if they don't have to, so instead they're looking for a few good beings to go steal them instead. The ships are docked in the spaceport at Jordir. While only lightly guarded, it's imperative that they are stolen without anyone figuring out that Desilijic is behind the theft.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Steal the Freighters
  • OPTIONAL: Steal them without being detected beforehand
  • OPTIONAL: Implicate another Kajidic in their theft instead
PAYMENT:
  • 15,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2-3 Participants

Accidents Happen
Recently a Desilijic smuggling ship carrying spice suffered a catastrophic engine failure. Before crashing the vessel had its contents being released over the city of Zogoto, on Excarga. Some of the spice packages burst in air creating...a small riot in the city as a result of inhabitants being hopped up on spice in the air. Some of the packets didn't however, and Desilijic would like them recovered before any rioters or authorities can grab them.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Recover at least 4 spice packages in the city
  • OPTIONAL: Implicate another Kajidic in the smuggling
PAYMENT:
  • 20,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2 Participants

The Turbolaser Run
The Turbolaser Run is a race being held on Rothana to help celebrate the restoration of the world. Unlike the typical swoop, or pod race, the Turbolaser Run is an endurance race. All participants must complete a course that stretches across hundreds of kilometers, and has check points in five of Rothana's fortress cities. Desilijic is not asking you to participate in the race however, we're asking you to sabotage vehicles or teams being backed by the opposition so that Desilijic's racers have a better shot at winning. Everyone is aware that someone is going to try to sabotage either their vehicles or racers, however. This is Cartel space after all. There are three teams, each with a different garage complex that houses the vehicles and team members, and is under heavy security.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Infiltrate the garages belonging to the other teams and sabotage their efforts
  • OPTIONAL: Implicate another Kajidic in the sabotage
PAYMENT:
  • 30,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2 Participants
  • 1 NPCer (NPCer please contact FL for details)

Kajidic Anjiliac Missions
Anjiliac is currently opposed to Besadii and Kormtha

Noobs at Nooli
Anjiliac has always had a hand in piracy, but with it recently being brought into sharper focus, more experience is needed in this regard. A small pirate gang has a presence in the Nooli system, not far from Cartel space. Anjiliac is looking for crew members for a Modified Action IX Transport. You may bring whatever personal vessels you own as well. The pirates are operating a pair of old Crusader gunships. The goal is to eliminate them as quickly as possible, and recover any escape pods so that we may offer the survivors a chance for gainful employment as well.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Destroy the pirate vessels
  • Recover any escape pods
PAYMENT:
  • 15,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2-3 Participants

Tripping Balls
Anjiliac has discovered that a local criminal gang on Chuzalla has started smuggling spice produced by them, without paying their cut, by hiding the product in Remote droid shells. They're looking for a group to go to Chuzalla, and recover the product, and the sells for their own uses. The gang's storehouse for the spice filled remotes is fairly far from the spaceport, and odds are good the gang will try to intercept you more than once before you reach the spaceport with our product, and the warehouse is believed to be heavily guarded, with repeaters mounted on the upper catwalks.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Defeat the storehouses security, and recover the spice
  • Overcome attempts by the gang to intercept you and the product before you reach the warehouse
  • OPTIONAL: Don't lose any spice
PAYMENT:
  • 20,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2-3 Participants

It's a Trap
The recent shakeups on the Grand Council have prevented the Anjiliac from escelating their conflict with the Besadii, but they haven't prevented the Velora from engaging them in a low intensity conflict for control of Besadii business. In support of Velora, Anjiliac is attempting to forestall Velora's old nemesis, Kormtha, from intervening on behalf of Besadii. To that end a trap was set, where an Anjiliac spice dealer had a bounty put out on them that a Kormtha hunter would take. The hunter is human going by the alias of "Jimmy Royale". He wears heavy armor, and carries Kushari weapons, so he's incredibly dangerous.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Eliminate Jimmy Royale
  • OPTIONAL: Make sure he doesn't kill the spice dealer
PAYMENT:
  • 30,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2 Participants
  • 1 NPCer (NPCer please contact FL for details)

Kajidic Kormtha Missions
Kormtha is currently opposed to Anjiliac and Velora

Sharks of the Loan Sea
Kormtha is heavily involved in the financial sectors of the Cartel. A big part of that is giving out loans to people who need them, and then breaking little bits of them if they miss a payment. The job is pretty straightforward, Kormtha wants you to go to one of the botanical gardens on Nar Hekka, the kind that charge by the hour and might have a bar, a large pool, and dancers, and remind the owners that they missed a payment. Break everything you can find, break a few bones on the owner, but don't do any substantial damage that might hurt them financially to the point where they have an excuse not to pay us. The owner is a Rodian named Rezyk, he shouldn't be that hard to find, but he has a 'panic' room behind the bar.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Overcome the Garden's security
  • Break things in the Garden
  • Fine, intimidate, and injure the owner
PAYMENT:
  • 15,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2-3 Participants

No, we're sorry for party rocking
A local band, the Frozen Akk Metal, is holding a concert in an abandoned warehouse in the Corellian Sector. They forgot to let Kormtha in on the action, and there are many who are displeased about that. Somehow the band is immensely popular, and the concert could have brought in a great deal of credits for the Kajidic, and the Cartel by extension. Make sure the fans get their money's worth, and make sure it's public. Oh and the band has hired a ton of security, and the members aren't exactly pushovers themselves. A couple even did bounty hunter work in the past, and their fans tend to be of the insane swoop biker variety, so expect a lot of opposition.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Defeat security at the concert venue
  • Defeat opposition within the crowd
  • Defeat the band
PAYMENT:
  • 20,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2-3 Participants

The Spice Must Stop
Kormtha is wary of the tacit support being provided to Velora by Anjiliac. Thought not eager to engage in open fighting, the Kajidic is more than willing to make attempts to undermine the profits of their foe's ally. An Anjiliac spice shipment going thorugh Nar Bo Sholla is to be sabotaged with spor crawlers. Replace the crates filled with spice, with those filled with crawlers. The crates are in a local spaceport being processed. At least three crates must be switched out, and must be done with a minimum of gunfire. Do not get caught, or Anjiliac will be aware we are attempting to undermine their business.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Switch out at least three crates of spice without being caught
  • OPTIONAL: Switch out all eight crates without being caught
PAYMENT:
  • 30,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2 Participants
  • 1 NPCer (NPCer please contact FL for details)

Can I develop a mission pack for establishing a presence on Kowak where drugs can be quietly trafficked?

Well I don't really see a need to traffic drugs to Kowak just yet. Maybe not Kowak, but a network passing from Ryloth (home of the Ryll variant of spice) so we can start smuggling the drugs, and slaves, and whatnot from the area. Network would be Kowak-Hypori-Siskeen-Ryloth, maybe a mission or event per a place?

Alright so how about this, we'll have it be 4 sort of event things. Each of us will be responsible for one one of the four planets that have one, except Kyle since he's going to be super busy here soon. He'll be our backup if something goes wrong.

So

Ryloth
Siskeen
Hypori
Kowak

Choose a target. and write something, and I'll take the one no one takes. Remember that Ryloth is going to be less about establishing a supply base, and more about getting in on the Ryll business there.

I think I'll take Siskeen. Perhaps have some dude lording over the area we want with a small army of old battle droids? I wish there was an index of major stuff that's happened per planet this timeline, you know? Would make me a lot more sure footed in my ideas.

Nothing's really happened on Siskeen as far as know, so I think you're good to go.

Ok so, Hypori used to have a ton like a TON of droids. Jabba way back when actually failed in taking the planet so we could play the whole we want this place to cover the failure of the past while also searching for the droid factory Jabba was after. This would give us tons of options for various legitimate business stuff. A new droid, a war that's just beginning? Yeah, lets capitalize.

This could be covered in three to four missions.

First Mission- Explore the planet.

Second- Remove any threats to the Cartel engineers. There's some nasty Fauna on this place and we could go all terminator with it and have a crazy AI running stuff.

Third mission- Setting up shop. Getting defenses set up and making the planet access able to the Cartel. With this world being previously inhabited by Cartel and Zann consortium members way back when I don't think it would be hard to reestablish already existing landing pads and stuff.

This could also help our defense a little if that's even still a problem. Again, not really sure what all needs to be done past here. Let me know what you poop heads think. If this sounds good I'll obviously put it into a pretty format and expand on my ideas. If not you're wrong and I hate you. jk :*

kthxbai.

Somebody Call an Exterminator?
We've gotten word of an abandoned droid factory on the planet Hypori. The Cartel has decided that the aqusitoin of this property would porfit them greatly. You've been dispatched to do just that. Be advised a pack of Massiff Located around the site. There've also been rumors of a possible Geonosian Hive three clicks east of the factory, but that hasn't been confirmed.

LOCATION:
OBJECTIVES:
  • Find the Factory.
  • Remove all possible threats.
  • [OPTIONAL] Scout out and locate the possible geonosian threat.
  • [OPTIONAL] Get rid of the bugs.
PAYMENT:
  • 35,000 total
ASSIGNED:
  • 2-3 Participants

Actually, this is apparently done. You're welcome.

I would recommend keeping it between 3 and 5.

This.

Also let's keep it at 1 mission for now. We don't need a lot for just dropping a small prefab on a bunch of stub planets, and uninhabited rocks. We can do the other missions for expanding our presence on them after that. Lots of missions=gets bogged down because there's always one that nobody really does, and most of them tend to die, so we're gonna need to pace things if we want to get this stuff done I think.

So if each planet has one starter mission, we could combine them all into one mission pack under the banner of expanding our horizons, etc. Is this what you're thinking?

So if each planet has one starter mission, we could combine them all into one mission pack under the banner of expanding our horizons, etc. Is this what you're thinking?

Kinda. These wouldn't be a mission pack per se, more like an event, like Tipping Scales, but with each of us personally overseeing (and being involved in) the missions instead of it being more hands off. The general idea I have for this is less about making mission packs for consolidating our hold on these worlds, and more a rolling campaign of corruption.

We start with these worlds because they're easy, they give us access to a good market for all the criminal stuff, and let us test the waters without getting in too deep. Then we move on, another four planets as we try to establish a larger criminal presence in the galaxy, and so on. It's less about trying to add to our territory really, where we own the planets, and more about expanding our criminal enterprises.

The general idea should be for things to move fast, and be individually on a small scale, but fitting into a larger operation that really benefits us.

So let's take this one for example. We've got ideas for the missions down, but the structure also needs to be set in place so they keep on going without stalling out.

So every mission it's just us, plus two others. No posting order, and a 72 hour rule (if someone needs to post, but it's been 3 days just skip them). If the other two both drop out, replace them. They need to be substantive, but done quick to show people that we're really serious about this, and that we're not just not going to let things die off.
