NPCer for Sith Mission

Hi folks!

Teynara and me are looking for a Jedi NPCer for a mission for our Siths. (For that reason, I hope you don't mind I'm posting this here and not in the general OOC.) This is the one:

8. Lost Lamb
An acolyte named Mirrielle Mar has defected. She no longer believes in the Dark Side and seeks to join the Jedi. She must not be allowed to leave and spill secrets to the Jedi.

Goal: Persuade Mirrielle Mar to return to the Sith. If she cannot be turned, eliminate her.
Location: N/A
Slots: 1-2 Sith
Difficulty:
Additional Notes: Optional Jedi support is allowed, though will require a Jedi NPCer.

Just asking. I know in the description it has "NPCer" but I'm just asking for further clarification.

As far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't mind a PC, as long as you also NPC the apostate acolyte in question. Tey?

Amilthi, your character is a Crusader and Tey's is undetermined. What level would you say he is?

I'm asking specifics to make sure others know what's up if they want to do it. I'm not sure if I'm up for it...but we'll see.

Either way, the NPCer has to do the Jedi and the Acolyte, correct?

Tey's character is an Acolyte.

Well, basically, that was the idea, yes.

It is conceivable that we would share the NPCing between all of us, though I'm unsure how well that would work in this case, where it's basically about one NPC. Forgive me if I'm a bit clueless about this...

heh heh, no worries, though. I'm thinking this would be a good test for my Knight's application of the Light Side...but I'm still iffy in jumping into a potential PvP plot. There wouldn't be any death coming from Seb, though. However, it's hard to immediately tell at this stage since what happens ICly and what I would like to have happen are two very separate entities.

EDIT: Let me think it over during work and I'll get back to you if there aren't any others who care to do this. ;)

I suppose we'd manage not to kill each other. What's worrying me is that someone will have to be in the awkward position of playing both their character and the NPC that character is trying to persuade. That's something I don't feel up to.

I'll second that one. 'tis why I never NPC for a thread that I'm involved in. It's awkward to write, and then some.

Luckily, the mission offers alternatives to combat!

Honestly, I'm only open for NPCing if I am using my own character. I don't find it awkward at all. Which is why I must be perfect for the job.
Some might say some bias might occur when this happens...but I don't make it too easy for myself. Ask Tey in our most recent thread (?).

Now, how much 'control' do I have over the Acolyte?
Is she very much on the fence or is this something she's been seriously considering/considered but hasn't acted upon it yet?
Would this be something the Jedi would stumble upon or did Mirrielle make herself obvious enough for the NJO to take notice?
Where does it take place and what kind of obstacles will be present for the Jedi to reach Mirrielle?

If you don't have concrete answers, I'm sure you can just make them up. If not, I wouldn't mind making something up. I guess I'll be using Seb. But anyone else is free to take this on if they're more willing than I. I'm just asking questions that will be asked or come up when this get's going.

I could also probably NPC this mission if no one else wants to. I think I could NPC an indecisive and reconsidering Acolyte pretty well. If I brought a Jedi into it, that would also be an NPC character. I'd try to keep things fresh for you guys, and I like to think I'm pretty good on the fly when it comes to making things interesting.

Not trying to steal CJ Bo's spot, though. If he wants to do it, by all means. :D

Whenever you guys are ready, just post up the thread and I'll roll with the punches. You two post first and I'll follow suit. Make sure to outline things like where you guys are so I have some background to build on. Sound like a plan?
