Having lost Kessel, and most of our slave forces, there's a serious need for labor workers, and I sure as kark ain't gonna be the one to do it, so your task is to garner us a new batch of slaves, easy enough, find a shite village outside of Syndicate space, and slap chains on em, the bigger the better(20-30 slaves at least). Feel free to kill any that won't be of use to us..

Rafe had read a small excerpt about this planet in a digest about uncontacted planets, this planet had not yet sustained space flight, and due to its leaderships was labeled as unlikely ever to. As such, however, it was protected by law against outside influence... As if the law ever stopped Rafe before.. it was the perfect spot to pick up a few dozen slaves...

Rafe sat in the cockpit of his newly obtained 5-T Medium Freighter, a ship he'd picked for this mission over his own pride and joy The Kennel.. the size of it would allow for the imprisonment of as many as he could fit in the cargo hold.

He'd already run some preliminary scans and was circling just above atmosphere where he planned to strike, there were portions of this planet that were considerably more advanced than others, that said the advanced portions were still archaic, armed with their slug throwers, and internal combustion travel machines.. his scans from here had him targeted on a small village, in a remote piece of the planet, probably some eighty or so inhabitants, Rafe figured he could probably pull at least a few dozen usable slaves out of that...

As Rafe lit a death stick he looked over to his counterpart, You ready? He'd ask nonchalantly, as if the prospect of rounding up a bunch of soon to be slaves didn't even bother him, cause it didn't..

Jules had loaded several crates of three lock manacles and had already attached looping chains to the bumper beams that lined the outer walls of the hold. He had also brought on extra food, water as well as blankets. These slaves were merchandise, he saw no reason why they shouldn't be presented in good condition.

Jules had also brought along his medical programed 3PO Droid just in case. He hoped that the cargo would speak galactic basic, it would make things easier but the 3PO unit could handle that as well.

Rafe had picked out the target and they had already conducted the scans When he asked if Jules was ready Jules simply nodded.

Rafe's peacemaker was set to stun, a setting it had never been placed on before, even flipping the switch to set it to stun proved difficult as the switch stuck a bit before flipping over. Rafe had to apologize to the piece of equipment, promising it that it would get to kill again one day, just not today.. probably.. most likely... well hopefully.. they did need to take these ones in alive afterall.

Rage had thought about taking them by diplomacy, convincing them that the pair was their benefactors, and promising them a better life. He thought maybe that way they would all comply. Afterall they were an uncontacted planet, so dealings with Aliens wasn't something any of them knew about, and who knows, maybe coming down from the sky would make them think @Julius Arvo and Rafe were Gods of some sort.

Rafe pitched the idea to the man sitting next to him, either way the way they went about it would be about the same. He expected that after they landed outside the village that most of them would come stand nearby and gawk at them, their first proof of other worldly intelligent life...

Rafe began to descend through the atmosphere slowly, he had time still. If his counterpart agreed they'd exit the ship peacefully, if not Rafe planned to run out guns blazing.. well guns stunning... he supposed.

The ship touched down just outside the small village, and just as Rafe suspected, two dozen of them or so were within twenty meters of the ship just staring at them in disbelief. Rafe and @Julius Arvo stood in the cargo hold as the Ramp lowered, the decision belonged to @Julius Arvo, would this be loud and messy, or slow and diplomatic?

He's keeping his hands away from his guns Julius along with his 3PO unit walked toward the crowd of humans. The The humans were speaking a language which he did not understand looking at his 3PO unit he asked he asked," what language?" The 3PO unit advised it was a it was a highly shifted form of basic galactic but was so clipped and changed that it was Outside his ability to translate.

The humans were excitedly pointing at both his 3PO and Rafe their gibberish completely lost on him. Shrugging Jules flipped both peacemakers to stun even as they cleared his holsters. "Oh well," he thought,"so much for diplomacy." As he began firing. Jules knew that Rafe had been waiting to see how it would play out.

Jules did not see a single weapon anywhere amongst these humans.

The protocol Droid had told @Julius Arvo that it couldn't translate, this told Rafe that option was already out the hatch, Rafe had already drawn by the time @Julius Arvo went for his weapons, and fired three stuns, the humans seizing slightly before falling to the ground.

The terrified screams of the indigenous people excited Rafe as he charged forward, continuing to fire stun bolts. His peacemaker fired heavy stuns, which was very unhealthy for the body, sending it into shock and stealing its consciousness. This also meant that any weak elderly were likely to die as a result, which was fine with Rafe.

Rafe picked one up by the neck and growled in its face, his spittle showering down on it, the fragile human fainted as a result, a warm liquid sprinkling down its leg as it did so, Rafe recoiled in disgust, tossing the unconscious human to the side and firing three more bolts into the crowd of running people.

The heavy stunning effect of his peacemakers would leave a healthy being unconscious for an hour or so. Jules fired as quickly as his pistols could cycle. The humans reaction times seemed pitifully slow. A few of them raised their arms in front of them as if that could help them. It didn't appear as if it had occurred to any of them to just run.

Between the two of them it would only take moments to put these humans unconscious. Then would come the task of carrying them into the hold and manacling them to the chains.
The manacles and chains he had brought would hold an angry Wookie so Jules wasn't worried about that. He really didn't want to have to stun them repeatedly, that would just increase the chance of them dieing.

Rafe fired up his comms, Netvor, Róka, Cade grab these bodies and load them into the ship.. He called to his crew, they were ship hands, more suited for space combat than a melee, so they did not engage, but Rafe needed the extra hands to get the soon to be slaves loaded. He would run off after the stragglers as his Shistavanen, Nalroni, and Squib crew members decended from the bowels of the ship to help load and lock up the unconscious humans.

It wouldn't take Rafe long to catch up, his stride almost thrice that of these less than two meter tall humans. Rafe kept his blaster raised, firing off stun bolts as he went, bodies dropping here and there, until he ran down the last one in sight. Rafe hadn't been keeping count, so he figured the best thing to do would be to get them all back and figure out how much they had before deciding if he needed to go out for more.

Rafe lifted the bodies, loading himself down with five of them before heading back to the ship, he'd need to come back out to pick them all up.

As Rafe arrived to the ship his crew and @Julius Arvo were already hard at work chaining them to the floor. There was no way to get a count yet, too many laid outside. Rafe set the ones he was carrying down by the nearest eye bolts, he'd let the crew chain them up as he left to go continue to collect the ones further from the ship.

Eighteen females and twenty six males ages were anywhere between fourteen and fifty years of age by his estimation, more than half the population of this village in one fell swoop. There was next to no resistance these people had obliviously never considered that they would be raided by pirates from space

There was still enough room on the ship for another fifty or so Jules decided he would allow Rafe to decide whether they would continue to work this area or move on.

All the bodies had been taken in, and a preliminary headcount was taken, unfortunately Rafe decided they needed more and looked back out of the opening of the cargo hold ramp. Most had scattered by now, they'd be much harder to track down now.. Rafe sighed and pulled his helmet over his head before stepping out of the ship.

Rafe kicked on his jetpack, soaring into the air and scanning the area around. Much to his surprise there happened to be a grouping of them huddled around only about forty meters or so from the ship, they were just watching the ship, and it's crew. Even the threat of kidnapping them wasn't enough to deter them from gawking at the aliens..

Rafe fired up his coms relaying the information back to those on the ship and blasted in that direction, lowering himself to the ground about twenty meters out and bolting toward them. They must of figured he'd spotted them as they stood up to start running, but Rafe already had his blaster pointed at them, the stun bolts quickly running out of the business end of the barrel.

Checking the scanner in the cockpit, Jules found a large heat and power signature about fifteen kilometers from their current location. Considering the apparant time of day and the amount of heat and energy it was probably some sort of factory. In Jules opinion an excellent place to finish obtaining their cargo.

Jules notified Rafe and the rest of his crew by the com link that there was a likely high value target nearby. Jules then said over the com link, "grab what you got and then we move."

Rafe picked up @Julius Arvo's traffic, this planet was as of yet uncontacted. If they did too much, or left too much evidence behind the whole planet would likely rally together in defense.. Rafe had plans to return to this planet later for more slaves, for now though..

Rafe had caught up to the last of the runners, his bolts slamming into their backs and stealing their consciousness, forcing them to fall to the ground. Eight of them.. Rafe picked up five and slowly made his way back to the ship, It'd be best to forgo any further exposure to this planet.. Let's just get these ones home.. after all with these as well they had over fifty.. that should be enough for now.

Rafe passed by his crew as they ran out to grab the last three Rafe couldn't carry, a approving nod was all they needed. Once he boarded the ship he set to work chaining them to the floor of the hold, alongside the others.

It would be a few minutes, but Rafe would finally arrive to the cockpit. Let's deliver these to The Lonely Cub.. Rafe said, he wasn't looking forward to seeing the Pyke Syndicate's Corvette again, he disliked capital ships.. the power of a turbolaser was off putting for him, it wasn't something he could just muscle to the ground, or avoid..

Rafe sat down, both satisfied and disappointed, he'd gotten a taste of melee, but no bloodletting, much like being served a steak and only eating the salad.. Rafe's crew was in the hold with prisoners, he would let them deal with the screams and cries of their new property, he didn't have the patience for it himself this day..

Rafe would let @Julius Arvo do the piloting, it would be a long flight..

Jules lifted off the planet he wasn't concerned about any type of pursuit. This planet only had what he considered low altitude craft dependant on oxygen and liquid fuel which was just not available after about fifteen kilometers.

Setting the coordinates in the navicomputer. He closed the cockpit door and engaged the hyper drive . By the fastest route it was going to take at least four jumps and close to two full days to make it to the corvette. I guess that is what happens when you have to go to the corner of nowhere and nowhere else.

About three hours later his 3PO Droid notified him that he had managed to piece together a working lexicon of the humans language and felt certain that he would be able to interpret if he was wanted. " Download it onto an empty data pad and we will pass it along with them," replied Jules.

It was good to hear the protocol Droid had put together a working knowledge of the language of these humans, Rafe knew the Pykes had a brutal but effective "Reconditioning Program.." Rafe was somewhat glad he'd never undergone it... he'd never seen it, but had heard horror stories, with their clipping, and tagging...

Rafe radioed down to his crew and @Julius Arvo's droids to see to feeding and watering their new prize. Rafe had basically brought a whole bantha on board in preserved meat, it would serve to keep them sustained until they got to the Lonely Cub..

The next day or so would pass by slowly, Rafe would wonder the ship bored, only occasionally assisting in the care taking of the living loot.

Finally, the time came and the final jump ended, the Lonely Cub floating almost peacefully in the distance, Rafe let out an exacerbated sigh, if he ever made it up the ranks this would surely be a job for others...

When they docked, Rafe would be sure @Julius Arvo and himself were the first faces to be seen by the pykes that would come to unload the ill begotten slaves.

Jules was beside Rafe when the Docking tube was connected. When the cargo and the lexicon had been turned over to the slave masters their payment collected and ship re fueled, Jules set the course to the jump point that would take them back to Rafe's ship.

It was a process, much more labor intensive than any other deliver Rafe had done, but then this cargo was alive.. none the less Rafe watched as the Pykes came in and out of the ship leading half a dozen of slaves at a time off into the internals of The Lonely Cub.

It would take about half an hour or so for everything to get completed, meanwhile Rafe lit up a death stick, it's small portion of spice soothing him as it hit his lungs and began the process.

Finally Rafe and @Julius Arvo would be approached by some middle management shiphand Pyke with their respective payments, bidding Rafe and @Julius Arvo a job completed.

One last jump and he'd be home free, this one had taken some time and he needed to check in with his crew..
