Open to anyone who has a reason for being on Jedha

He had to get away. Why had he even come to this place? Did he want to get tangled up in some rebellion, especially one that was so going up against an enemy much more powerful than they were? He had made it as far as a town away from the Alliance base but not any further. Something held him back, made him hesitate. He could feel himself drifting between two lives both of them not palatable in their own ways.

There had been apart of him that always wanted to be a hero, it was a character flaw of his that he never seemed able to shake. It was laughable that he had thought he could be a "good guy". Even though he had a nicer ship, lived in a better apartment, he was still that thug that he had been when he was growing up on Nar Shadda. He had a chance to help these people. He had learned the differences between the Jedi and the Sith, the differences that had made Cait the monster who had attacked him and left him for dead. They were deserving of any help anyone could offer them, their cause as noble as one can be in the Galaxy and yet he found himself on the verge of leaving the dusty world behind.

He tapped idly on the glass sitting in front of him as he let his mind drift. He had been in thousands of Cantina's but this one felt unnervingly empty. There was one other man, passed out at the bar, the bartender droid cleaning off the bar around the drooling man. Even though he knew he wasn't, it felt like he was sitting at the edge of the Galaxy, his feet dangling over the edge.

He let out a breath before lifting the mostly clean glass to his mouth and pouring some of the glass' contents into his mouth. It wasn't good whiskey, but that somehow felt right to Gil.

Skuld Stark didn't really believe in coincidence, but even she had to acknowledge strange things happened in a galaxy as large and strange as theirs. She was genuinely here as a brief break between businesses, restocking and refueling in more ways than one. And scanning potential customers for Blackwell in the interim; it didn't hurt many smugglers and general low-layers had creative uses for ships, for her it was simply taking notes.

So imagine her surprise when she strolled into what seemed like an innocuously empty cantina, and eyes settled on a figure that she hadn't seen in months... almost years.

Her elusive vice president.

But he didn't seem to see her yet... interesting. There was an internal debate of whether to disturb or not; she was hardly dressed in her usual outfit, forgoing the armor and workout gear for something a bit more on the conservative side. No heavy makeup or intricate braids either; long black hair fell in one simple thick braid to her waist. This appearance was something that helped her stay hidden in plain sight; she raised her hand at the droid, and when the profile tilted towards her, she pointed towards Gil soundlessly, holding up two fingers silently.

It... he... she...? seemed to process her request with a nod and turn away, and in return she left a credit chip to cover the cost of it, and then some. It seemed like she wanted them to keep coming for a little while.

She slowly meandered over until she stood slightly to his left, arms crossed as she surveyed the male, her voice wry and amused.

"So, is that seat taken, or am I gonna be standing here all night?"

He sat, lost in his own thoughts. He was aware that someone had entered but really didn't pay attention to whoever it was. He slowly lifted the glass again as stared off at nothing in particular.

It took him several seconds to realize that he was being talked to, when he looked up he couldn't help but grin slightly. "Ms. Stark." he said with a hint of amusement. "Not exactly who I would expect to see all the way out here." he said.

"Doubt I could stop you from sitting there even if I wanted to. Please, join me," he said with a chuckle. He held the cigarette to his mouth, inhaling slightly causing the end to flare. "What brings you to middle of nowhere?" he asked with a raised eyebrow as he exhaled a breath of smoke.

"No?"

She smirked, uncrossing her arms to drag a chair out, head tilted back to survey the male with icy blue eyes. She dropped into her chair without ceremony, head tilted slightly. "Believe it or not... it's missus now," she chuckled wryly, one hand settled upon the armband fitted upon the 'bicep' of her mechanical arm, the smirk growing when he spoke about her dropping in anyways.

Well, at least he hadn't forgotten she would never turn down an opportunity to drink.

When the droid shuffled over to deposit their drinks, she gave them a brief nod of thanks, and took a sip of the drink, before wincing. "Kark, Gil, you've some taste..." she shook her head once, then gave a low chuckle, dropping the glass to level him with a stare before responding.

"Tagal drives me up the wall." She stated this flatly, then smirked, perking a brow in retaliation. "Nei, for once I am here strictly for business... and partially for the pleasure of seeing criminals sweat over me staring at their ships." She took another swallow, then paused, before tilting her glass to him.

"Same question. You've been quiet for some time... since our promotion, if this old Deuc's memory stands."
