Like most of the galaxy, Covax didn't have all the details on how the shootout with Ren went down. The former Vanguard was especially surprised to find out the fucker was still alive years later. Seeming to take it as a personal slight that Covax even attempt to fill the void left by the blunders of Zaa Fenn.

"You have slicers on the payroll I assume?" He knew the answer, "Use the slicer to hack the security and cam feeds. Have one man on the team pose in the right gear, leading the charge." he said gesturing the thought with his hand in quotes. "Slicer hacks the servers, gaining possible access to valuable CorpSec secretes. The kind of stuff that makes board members shit themselves and low life thugs blackmail for. CEO catches a bolt for getting in the way. Then, ol Preef runs his mouth to the verse."

Covax was giving her the short a sweet version, of course there would be further details to the job to work out. The crew, the transport, finding a suitable Rodian to fit the bill. Details details.

The former Vanguard could feel as much as see the apprehension in Arla. It was a risky move. If it worked, it would be the perfect job no one would ever realize they took part in. If it didn't. CSN would pay a guild's ransom to see them dead and possibly make some enemies in the Outer Rim.

"If I can get the right team, I can get it done."

The plan sounded good enough to her, and she nodded in confirmation that the company had slicers on the payroll.

Sounds like you've got a plan. I'll get you the team and funds you need. Let's get it done, she said, giving one more glance around the room. She wondered if this would end up shaking him out of his apathy and back into the game on a broader scale. She hoped so, and if it did, she was sure she could find other expansion jobs for him in the future. At least if he was really back.

Castein Sirus will be your target, she said. It would make quite the splash and perhaps he could even recruit Edin into the job as well. If not, perhaps she'd try to find another operation for him to work on.

What else do you need from me? she asked as their meeting began to wind down. She knew that this would likely take some time with several staged attacks over time before Apex swooped in to provide "security" in the region. Perhaps she could even get Newton to be the first stone to cause that landslide.

Until then, it would be grinding away at the foundation of the CSA until they were ready to strike.

For the first time in months, Covax was starting to sound like himself. He he wasn't stuck in the mire, thinking about everything lost. He had a way forward and without even know it. He was plotting that course. The former vanguard gave Arla a confident not as she gave his the green light "get it done."

Taking out his encrypted EZphone, the human merc quickly thumbed the name into a holo search bar. "Yep, looks like an asshole who needs shot in the face." he scoffed. Confident as he sounded, he knew this was a multi step job. Knowing this, the imposing looking human finished off his coffee. Opening a notepad app on the phone he started to thumb out a "shopping list" of things to do.

"Manpower and money." He answered her last question simply enough. Apex would surely be Arla's choice but Covax has one person in mind for a job like this. IF he could convince her. The only other living legend in the galaxy, far as he knew.

Those are things we have in abundance, she said. Money and manpower weren't things that Apex was lacking at this point. She was more than happy to let the operation run however he saw fit which would let her focus her efforts on other things. This was one of many prongs.

She drained off the remainder of her caf, and as she set the cup down, she looked at him with those piercing silvery eyes, almost as if she were looking through him.

Good to have you back, Covax, she said, extending a hand with a smirk.

Stay in touch this time, and... she glanced around the apartment. ...you're getting paid enough to at least live on the spokes, she said suspiciously, though she wondered in her mind if he was here because this was where he was the most comfortable. Not in the "high society" but in the places that were much more like Hutt Space.

Covax gave Arla a genuine smile. He was aware of the resources at her disposal. The fact she had those resources and still came to him, as well as giving him the freedom to act as he deemed fit to complete the mission, spoke volumes. Freed now not only from the carbonite, but the prison of his own mind. He would not waste what was likely his last chance at life, or at least what he thought of it.

"Thank you, Arla." He replied, taking her hand for a single firm shake.

"I'd check in when I have something worth your time." He said, knowing this wasn't the only proverbial iron in the fire. Seeing her eye the meager little apartment, he also looked around. "I appreciate that, I do. But I've lived with my head in the clouds before. I'm better off down here with the rest of the working class. Keeps me humble." He admitted. Confirming her suspicions. "I like it down here, but I think I will upgrade to one of the bigger apartments."

With that their meeting seemed to be at an end. They would exchange a few more pleasantries, then Covax would escort her the few feet to the door. Then, it was time for the real work to start.
