| It's true what they say: the Devil shall disguise himself as an angel of light. But I was like so many others at first. Weak, pathetic and blind. I was a dreg, abandoned and condemned to my fate by a galaxy that couldn't be bothered to care. But then she found me. An angel of mercy upon blackened wings who plucked me from obscurity and tended to my wounds, mending my broken spirit and tempering my ire. Beneath the tender caress of her guiding hands, I was born anew into the galaxy with a sense of pride beating in my heart that I had never felt before. She was panacea to my grief and anguish, for nothing before her could fill me with such fulfillment and joy the way she could. I owed everything to her, my savior, my mentor, my muse, my lover. Morkate was all of these things to me... and so much more. I felt we were as one on every conceivable level, and even on levels beyond the scope of my own narrow comprehension. It was a dream from which I never wished to wake. But wake I did. And for the first time in my life my eyes beheld the raw, unadulterated horror of the woman to whom I had devoted so much of myself. In that instant, in a moment so infinitesimally brief that it still defies my every attempt to rationalize it, I felt my heart rend into a million pieces. I felt betrayed, sick, and dirty. But worse than that, I felt used. In one nightmarish display of depravity, Morkate revealed her true face to me and my whole world crumbled. She is evil and spiteful; hedonism, perversion and debauchery personified. She stands against all that I hold dear in this world. And I am utterly enamored with her. Heavens help me... She is in my mind, pervading my thoughts with emotions and sensations that words can scarcely begin to describe. It's like being in the throes of the deepest ecstasy I have ever known, yet there is only misery masquerading as pleasure and contentment. My mind is no longer my own, I wander in a constant haze. Part of me still yearns for her even though I know what would become of me should I rush back to her embrace. I can't sleep, I can't think, I am so racked with anxiety I have not eaten in days. I feel infected to my very core. Even here, in my solitude with thousands of lightyears and hundreds of worlds separating us, I still feel her presence. She comes to me in my dreams, tempting me, enticing me with lascivious visions. And every night it's the same. I feel an emptiness within me unlike any I have ever felt until her light radiates through the Force like a beacon, calling me back to her. I resist her saccharine words with every fiber of my being for as long as I can, but in the end my efforts always fall short and she rewards my insolence with pain. Gods, the unbearable pain... My lungs burn as if filled with smoldering embers, air choked from my throat as I struggle in vain to scream out for help. Yet no words cross my lips. Only the same dry, helpless gasp every time just before she releases me in a single merciful word, as if commanding my body through her will: “Breathe.” She is toying with me, I know this now. I am her plaything, a slave that she sees fit to abuse at her every twisted whim. I feel as if the shadows themselves are her agents, their eyes constantly upon me, fingers creeping into the very recesses of my mind to claw free every sacred memory. There is no privacy nor sense of peace anymore. .... I didn't want it to come to this. Gods, I never wanted it to come to this. If there was any other way, any way at all that I could find the strength within myself to break free from her tainted web of lies, I never would have run. But she wields powers I cannot even begin to understand. More than that though, she knows my every flaw, my every weakness. And she will exploit them to her ends at my expense. There is only one way out now. .... This shall be my final will and testament to any who may find this: a plea, no... a warning. Should you ever find yourself alone in the company of your sorrows and hear the name Morkate whispered upon the breeze at your back, RUN!. Run as far and as fast as you can and never look back. I am not much longer for this world. My twilight approaches and in my final moments all I feel are her thoughts within my head, her fingers on my neck throttling a final rasping breath from my chest. I cannot bear this insufferable agony any longer. Please, PLEASE heed my words. Don't ever trust a thing that witch says lest you find yourself contemplating unthinkable sins as I have. May the Gods have mercy on my soul...
